When I message my Mutual of Omaha loan representative I get ghosted. I will keep her name out of here. I should have stayed with Rocket Mortgage, or went with a lower rate. This is shady business as as soon as I can move back to Rocket I will. Rocket is the best mortgage company in the industry.

House buying was indeed stressful and mind blowing! But Mr. Gregg Harris and Lender City was truly Heaven's answer for us! He and his team surely did excellent and exceptional service making sure that his clients are well satisfied. They really exceeded our expectations and we were so grateful to God that we choose Lender City. We started Signing contract July 20, 2018 with the builder and from then on started shopping for mortgage lenders around. We found Lender city in BankRate.com. We ended up with 2 choices Crestmark Mortgage formerly Cornerstone(builders choice) and Lender City. We compared them head to head. Lender City vs. Competition Crestmark gave us 4.75% interest rate with 4.6 APR, they do have extra $5000 incentive BUT they charge with a "TON" of fees, hey you can't barely feel the discount! Customer service was poor. I remember contacting them numerous times but they are not that responsive. They will reply the next day or you try make follow up with them yourself. The loan officer told us they couldn't offer lower rate but only if we BUY points. That means thousand of dollars charge. No thank you. On the other hand, with Lender City contacted Gregg Harris, he answered all both my mature and silly questions (we are FIRST homebuyers we don't know a lot of mortagage stuff). He was very patient and took time to explain to us. He was not pushy and rushing us in anyway. Their FEES was reasonable and very short than Crestmark. Even without discount or incentive they still are unbeatable. Gregg offered us 4.375% (without buying extra points) that was lower than the prevailing rate that point in time. APR was even lower 4.4% compared to Crestmark. Happy and satisfied we got what we need. Loan Process With less than 30 days in closing. The entire process was smooth and very good. Here's the climax at closing, the Title Company the one that allocates for Taxes in our loan didn't give us the credit that was supposedly for us. That means we will be spending more than $3000 out of pocket at closing more than we expected. But Gregg, was amazing, he was an advocate for us. He fought for us did everything he can do with the Title Comapny so they can made that revision of the Final Loan disclosure making it $5000 LESS from our total cash to close! This incredible true to life story I really wanted share especially who are prospective homebuyers soon so they will know that Lender City and our friend Gregg Harris made a wonderful experience in getting the house we wanted. I can't thank you enough Gregg! To all my Filipino-American Friends reading this review let me say in tagalog: "Dito na kayo sa Lender City siguardo mabilis, maasahan at mababa ang makukuha nyo na interest rate vs sa ibang mga nagpapautang. I dealt with Mark Denny in trying to secure a 203k mortgage…read more I worked pretty quickly to get him all the information he required (I was unaware at the onset that he would need me to dig through storage to find tax returns despite not being self-employed). Five days after sending him the final document he requested, nothing. No response. No "I have received your information". Nothing. I had to contact him after five days for him to tell me he couldn't find a way to make the loan work because of my DTI, which is fine. My problem isn't the fact that my initial application wasn't able to be approved, but the fact that I was left in the dark FOR FIVE DAYS about the fact that I could not qualify. I could have quickly moved some money around and remedied my DTI, but instead, I lost five days that could have been better spent working toward securing a loan and buying a property. Even if that would have taken too long to reflect on my credit report, I had another investor I could have put on the application to even things out. Furthermore, when I explained to him the necessity for good communication and speed when it comes to buying property, he responded with a smug "I'm guessing you cannot resolve your DTI problem". He refused to acknowledge his lack of communication and then tried to blame what he thought was my lack of ability to reallocate funds for his lack of professionalism. He even goes on to give me marriage advice and explain that I should get back with my ex-wife. Communication, speed, and professionalism are key to any good working relationship with your real estate team. Mark Denny has none of these qualities. I don't know about the rest of Cornerstone Mortgage's loan officers, but the fact that they keep this guy on their team tells me enough about the company. I'll be securing my loan through another broker. If anyone at this business would like a copy of all the emails and interactions with Mark Denny, I would be glad to provide them. Mark has my information. He knows who I am.

However, they have no issue taking my money every month. I am planning on buying a new house this year, but will NOT be going through Cornerstone again (Jack Buck, Jr.) to save myself the grief of dealing with this lousy Guild Mortgage Company. STAY FAR AWAY FROM DOING BUSINESS WITH THESE FOLKS! There are plenty of other lenders out there that respect their customers and will actually speak to them when they have questions or need assistance.
