We heard what we thought were birds in our attic, so when we called them for assistance, that's what we reported. We are not wildlife experts, but they purport to be, so we expected them to not only identify the animals we were hearing, but also eradicate them and prevent further intrusion in our home. They came out, never mentioned the possibility that the animals we were hearing were not birds, and quoted us $3400 to close up all "construction gaps" between our roof and fascia and remove bird nests from the attic. They came out for the first time to do the work we paid them for, or so we thought. Two weeks later, we still heard the bird-like sounds in ceiling. We called them back, and they quoted us a second round of work. The second quote mimicked the first quote, making it clear that they didn't do everything we paid them for the first time around. We had to get the owner of the company involved to force them to come back and complete the work they initially quoted us. Fast forward 3 weeks or so later - we're still hearing "bird" sounds. We called another company to come out, and low and behold - it's MICE! At no point did Catawba ever mention seeing signs of mice or the possibility of it being mice. They simply heard me say "it's a bird" and went with that without any further inspection or thought. Additionally, the other company took pictures showing where the construction gaps are still very much open despite us paying Catawba to close all of them. In short, Catawba didn't do anything to accurately identify the wildlife issue we had, and didn't complete the work we paid them for. We're now having to pay someone else to do what they were contracted to do. We've contacted Catawba to detail all of this and ask for our money back. They have refused and even lied in their responsive email in an attempt to cover their tracks. My husband and I are both lawyers and will now have to take them to small claims court to get our money back. I've never been so disappointed by a company. Again - DO NOT HIRE THESE PEOPLE.

And now they have the nerve to send me emails asking me to refer a friend! NOT A CHANCE! He was diligent, respectful and hardworking. He had to dig trenches before applying termite treatment. It was very laborious. He was very thorough and careful. He took care of some issues which concerned us and listened carefully to us while he completed his work. We have found all of the technicians from Noosa over the years very competent and Alex did not disappoint. It has been a pleasure working with Noosa over the past 5 years and we will no doubt continue to enjoy that relationship over the next few years. When we've had concerns, they responded accordingly. We once had what appeared to be wings around the house. They came, took a sample and had it tested. It turned out to be organic matter dropped from a nearby tree. We were surprised that they did this and didn't charge for it. They service our crawlspace and Alex took readings to assure us that our dehumidifier was fully operational. According to his careful inspection, it was working excellently. We want to thank Alex and Noosa for their most reliable service.

In which case I had a few rats, that unknown to me, burrowed their way under my foundation and into the crawl space. Learn something new every day. So I call Charlotte Wildlife Removal and learn that rats can actually dig tunnels. And from earlier battles to remove them over the years; found that there were a few holdouts left. CWR laid out large box traps along the entrance to the hole and other areas as well as in the crawl space. Being sure not to lay poison yet so that they wouldn't die and then I would have the smell in the house. Side note; contrary to popular belief, the poison doesn't drive them out to get water, they'll just stay and die. CWR came by every other day for 2 weeks to check the traps. All of the rats we caught happened in the first few days but did it for 2 weeks to be certain. Then the poisonous was laid in the attic, and crawl space. The best part though is that CWR dug down where the tunnels were filled it all back with concrete and covered with dirt. Overkill, possibly. Serious follow through, ohhh you bet! I have a near full basement and these tunnels contributed to leaks into the basement on days of heavy rain. So I'm very thankful for this dual repair. They will be back to do other preventative work for the crawl space. For now it's back to just being my home. Pleasant to work with, diligent and priced fairly. Highly recommend them.
