I found Tony's/Teal Marine's number at the local West Marine... and wow, professional from the very start! We initially ordered a new transducer, but found that the chartplotters only needed a software update. I called Tony back and he was able to cancel the transducer order at no cost. I still wanted to install the AIS system, and being a transient boater Tony was able to find a gap in his schedule THAT very day due to a foul weather survey cancelation. When he arrived he was courteous, professional and knowledgeable. He got the job done quick and everything works perfectly. I give my highest recommendation to Teal Marine. We had planned to haul out in a few months for blister repair and bottom paint, after observing we decided we found our place. Excellent work, reasonably priced, and impeccable communication. Great pool and bath house, laundry, floating docks, dog park across the street, with instacart and walmart delivery options. Great short ride to Yorktown via dinghy to enjoy the free hop on and off trolly tour. Can't say enough great things about this place we will defiently return.

There are a couple of beautiful flower gardens, not to mention the marina is nestled in a placid area surrounded by large trees. The entire marina is pristinely manicured. They have a full working service yard and haul out. The ship store is stocked with a wide variety of boater's needs. We are on the great loop and needed a repair to our bow thruster, the marina was happy to work us in even though they were booked through July! So much to do close by, Uber does pick up from here and food can be delivered. If you get the chance this is a great place to stay.

We parked at a "transient dock" that said to check in with the marina if we were staying overnight. Well, we weren't staying overnight, so we didn't check in. The dude tracks my friend down, literally yelling, and ends up lecturing him for 15 minutes, demanding 10 dollars. We have no idea where the 10 dollar fee came from (obviously a made up amount), but we ended up just paying it so we could be rid of the guy. Maybe this place has a lot of great stuff going for it, but friendly helpful staff is clearly not one of them. No way I'd trust that guy with my boat for more than an hour or so.

Took my 2006 Yamaha 90 outboard, connected to the boat to this establishment in June. Motor was…read moregoing into "guardian mode". After a $800.00 repair bill for new carburetors, was told all was good. When I took the boat out a couple of weeks later, NO CHANGE IN MOTOR PERFORMANCE!!!!!!!! So took it to another repair shop and was told that the reason was motor not pumping cooling water. After calling Poni back regarding this issue, I was informed that they would look into the issue, for another cost. They also stated that since I did not request they sea test the motor they did not perform such a test. With a comment like that, I declined to have them service the motor and had another marine look at it. They found that the lower unit water impeller was damaged causing the cooling issue. Plus found that the carburetors had green mold inside them. After I informed the owner of PONI, I was refunded $200.00. But that does not cover the expensive of having to have a real mechanic look at my motor. And this establishment claims that they are a Yamaha service center. With the type of service I received how can this place have five stars?

Day 1: This place could be great, if they hired security and kicked out loud, drunk, obnoxious…read moreidiots. The campground itself is well maintained and it has a great pool, fishing peers, small lake with a beach, dog park, and miniature golf/ice cream parlor attached. The amount of drunks driving around on golf carts blasting music, blaring music and profanity coming from campsites, unsupervised kids riding around on bikes and driving golf carts on the same road with these drunks is dangerous. I am sitting here, been up since 5 a.m., thinking about packing up and leaving once the wife and kids wake up. We had the honor of having drunks blasting music across from us at midnight. When I walked over and politely asked them if they could turn it down a little, it set the Redneck fury in full motion. My wife was threatened, I was threatened, the loudness continued, and no one from the campground would answer the after hours number or came by the area. Unless you enjoy Rebel flags flying everywhere and being around the most completely unruly crowds imaginable, I would probably stay away. Nothing ruins a vacation like the need to carry a weapon on you due to people threatening you while being belligerent and drunk. Day 2: I spoke to Security this morning. They said they were aware that they had major issues the night before, but unaware of how far things had gone. They stated that there is an officer at the park until 2 a.m. daily. They stated they would be going to sites in the early afternoon, once the people were awake and sober. They came by my site to speak to my wife about the guy who came over cussing and threatening us while I was dealing with the mob across from our site. Not sure what they did, but it is now 4 p.m. and this place is 100% different than last night. We actually took a nap outside in the zero gravity chairs to enjoy the cool breeze. We will see how the rest of the weekend goes before I change my rating. The rest of the stay: The rest of the stay was great with the occasional outburst from the idiots across from us, pretty much just a jab at me to try to piss me off. I will give them a 3 as the place is very well maintained and there is a lot of fun to be had for the family. I do disagree with them that they let the people stay. If a large group creates a hostile environment, disturbing many others, and then threaten a woman, and are allowed to stay? The security, while trying to keep the peace, are far more tolerant than they should be.
