After sitting an hour and a half my car got in, although I scheduled days prior and was told 10:30 Thursday was my scheduled time. After the employee had the car on the lift for 10 minutes told me he couldn't do the job and recommended another shop. He then charged me $62.50 at half a hour time. Which means estimates are charged at around $125 a hour. Total rip off. Every other place around offers free estimates or lets you know before hand the price. Save you time plus the headache by going else where.

Instead of trying to resolve the issue professionally, the receptionist accused me of causing the damage myself. As a long-time customer, I expected much better customer service and accountability. This situation also reminded me of previous concerns about pricing. For example, charging around $60 to replace a basic air filter that costs about $10 and takes only minutes to install felt excessive. Very disappointed with how this was handled. I simply wanted honesty, professionalism, and responsibility taken for the damage done to my vehicle. And please do not respond to this review acting concerned now. He rolled up at my place with an enclosed trailer behind his truck, and his trusty dog along for the ride. He evaluated my boat motor's condition/performance while it was running with a temporary water supply, reassembled the water pump, and then recognized that a rubber connecting bushing at the water pump housing discharge was missing (that I did not even know was needed). As it was late afternoon, and over an hour and a half from his home, Robert gave me advice on the missing component, how to install it, and on reinstalling the lower unit. I picked up the part, installed it per Robert's advice, and the water pump worked! I was so thankful for the review posted by the gentleman with the blown head gasket, as the feeling I got from reading his review is why I called R & R. Fantastic and honest mechanic! I broke a spark plug off in my 4 stroke Honda 130 outboard engine…read moredays before we were scheduled to leave for a family vacation. The boat was essential to this trip. Desperate to fix it I called R&R on a Sunday evening with little to go on but an Internet search result. To my surprise, Robert answered my call. He sounded good on the phone, felt for me and my situation and allowed me to drop the boat off that night at his shop. By 10 the next morning he called me with the diagnostic. Water in my oil and a very seized set of threads from the old plug stuck tight in the head. Really bad news! Robert checked compression to make sure the block was good before we went further. He then pulled the head in no time and found a blown head gasket was the cause of both issues. That evening he got the old rusted plug threads out. That took serious skill and finesse! By the next day he had the parts and my engine was purring like a kitten and looked like brand new. This was a difficult job that others wouldn't have dared to touch. I'm sure many dealers would have condemned the motor as soon as they saw water in the oil, too. You can trust R & R. He's my guy for all my jobs here on out.
