Everything about this campsite is perfect. It has the perfect amount of room, and it has everything! The golf course should be updated but my campsite is perfect. THE POOLSIDE CAFE IS PRICEY. The workers are extremely rude they close the public bathrooms at inconsistent times, this makes it extremely inconvenient with a camper for multiple people, on top of that they are dirty and outdated, they accused us of trying to break into them for simply knocking on the door at 8:00pm additionally they claimed it was quiet time at 8:30 meanwhile they acknowledged a handful of other people driving around in golf carts playing loud music with profanity aswell as children walking around unattended, I am very disappointed as the park is very nice but they ruin it I will never come back here again read more

Very noisy. Not a place to rest and relax. Golf cart crazy. Party central; felt like a frat house. Wiffi sucks. Music from golf carts from early morning to late at night. Golf carts being driven by young kids; no one cares for the posted speed limit. Felt like a race track around us. Kids riding bikes with no care for cars. No respect for other campers and their sites. Alot of people walking trough occupied sites- no respect. Need speed bumps installed to slow people down. On another note- the sites are shady and big. Campground it self is well maintained, amenities are clean and employees nice. Trash pick up is a plus.Dog friendly. Unfortunately our personal circumstances would not allow us to move to a new rv park. If it would of; we would of left that night. read more

It was a hard time to eat pizza today from the cafe next to the pools along with poor customer service from the man who in charge of the cafe. who put him on that position?!? 0 stars for his customer service, he definitely needs to learn how to talk to the customers. They give you 3 options: 15%, 20% or 25% tips. And even after you give them tips they talk with you very disrespectful. They did a mistake in my order and that guy said : it was hard time to understand you! But it wasn't hard time for him to take tips and verbally humiliate me. Food there is so expensive and tastes bad. Better take you own food the the pool then visit that cafe! read more

Bethpage is not what it used to be. Before we made our reservation for Columbus Day weekend, we specifically asked if this would be Harbor Harvest Weekend--with the bands, vendors, etc. We were told that it was and made our reservation. When we arrived, we discovered that the person who booked our reservation was wrong. It was not Harbor Harvest Weekend. Harbor Harvest Weekend was the weekend before. This was a big disappointment because it was the main reason we made the trip. The second reason we made the trip was to go crabbing. We enjoy crabbing off the dock. But, after getting up early Saturday morning, packing our gear and heading to the dock, we discovered the dock was closed with no expected date to reopen. On the website, there is zero information about the dock being closed. No Harbor Harvest Fest, no crabbing. Sunday morning, we went to the mini golf course. We paid the fee to play and on the first hole, each person in our family got shocked when reaching in the hole to retrieve our golf balls. With the first hole, we thought that maybe it was just static electricity. When it happened on the second hole, we were still considering static electricity. But when it happened on the third hole, we realized something was very wrong. We reported the problem to the staff, and we were gruffly told that we needed to leave the golf course immediately. That made sense, but it could have been said in a kinder and more apologetic way. Since we were being asked to leave and had only played three holes, we asked for a refund. We were gruffly told that they do not give any refunds. We told the worker that we didn't think that was fair. He called a higher-up who gave him permission to refund our money. We asked if they could please let us know if the course reopened. They took our cell number but never called. No Harbor Harvest Weekend--no bands or vendors, no access to the dock and crabbing, no access to the mini golf, no kindness about the fact that we each got shocked three times. We probably won't be back. Bethpage used to be something special. Now, it is just a business--with little to no regard for their customers. read more

We use to love this campground and have been seasonal for almost 3 years and pulled out for next year. The staff today sealed the deal, unable to talk to anyone in the office from Thursday till Tuesday. Front desk gentlemen was a complete a$$. The keep upping the rates but have zero extra amenities for it. Pools are over crowded if they are even open, micromanaging golf carts, can't be out after 11pm even to take your dog to the dog park. Favoritism between seasonals on who is allowed to have certain privileges and items on their sites. It's a real shame because this use to be an amazing campground. Zero Wi-Fi and hardly an cell service. read more

This.place won't disappoint, had nothing but fun. The staff were extremely nice and helpful! Just one warning that we didn't know, if you are renting a trailer home, don't forget to bring sheets, blankets, and pillows. Our room had none so we went to Walmart and still had a great time! Starting off the staff is simply amazing. Very attentive friendly professional service from the front desk, pool, maintenance and store. The park is clean as a whistle. The life guards where very attentive. With that being said I can't recommend this park to people that want a peaceful relaxing weekend or those with small children. The speeding golf carts with the foul language music are nonstop and are a hazard to those around them. Rules are in place to control all of this but not enforced. The music speakers next to the beach house blare music till 10pm. Sites 2- 20 on loplolly lane are very narrow your neighbors sewer hose is 5 foot from your picnic table. I really wanted to like this place but they won't get my recommendation. I'll try again. read more

I hate to give a one star review to a place that we have loved so much in the past, but things have really taken a turn for the worst... My biggest concern is the cleanliness of the park as a whole... The pools are downright nasty. The water is cloudy, there's trash all over, most of the chairs are broken, and some of the water features don't work. The playgrounds are dangerous in my opinion. My children are constantly finding trash while playing, cigarette butts, broken glass, beer tops, and dog poop. It's gross. My family has been going to Bethpage for years, and I no longer feel as though it's a safe place for my family. I'm not sure what I'm more afraid of, getting hit by a golf cart being driven by a clearly intoxicated individual, hitting an unsupervised child on a bicycle with my golf cart, or myself or children catching some sort of flesh eating bacteria from the lake or pool.... read more

If your looking for a place to party this is the place for you. Tons of drunk people driving around on golf carts blaring load music until quiet hours which don't start until 11pm so if you have kids that actually need to go to bed at a decent hour just forget it. Also I hope your kids have seen half naked women because if not they will definitely see people wearing thongs at the pool. For a place that puts a lot of effort into planning weekend activities for the family they sure missed when it came to enforcing any kind of rules to make this place actually family friendly. read more

2020 Labor Day Weekend - VERY FRUSTRATING & DISAPPOINTING! My husband, 2 kids and I live in Mechanicsville and we made a reservation for Labor Day Weekend as to avoid heavy traffic on the interstates. It's a quick 1-hour drive, we had visited several years before and enjoyed our time there and thought we would give it another whirl. We reserved a cottage in River Birch where the large gazebo and a playground are located for three nights for around $300/night--not an expensive place to stay. We arrived Friday afternoon and Friday evening seemed okay, but with some golf carts blaring music and speeding down Virginia Ave. (main artery for travel). For the most part, it seemed reasonable as it is Labor Day weekend and people are there to have for fun. We enjoyed sitting on the front porch and people watched. For the most part, things calmed down and we could work with it. Ummm, let's just say Saturday and especially Saturday night was Friday night on steroids with the speeding golf carts being driven by underage kids, loud blaring music, embarrassing use of profanity and not to mention the unscheduled (not on campground's social calendar) corn hole tournament that was held under the bright lights of the gazebo until 11:30 pm (past the so-called enforced curfew). It was so loud Where was the staff? I never saw any enforcement of any kind during the day or night. Even my teenagers were questioning the atmosphere?!?! Here I am thinking a campground is a nice family environment for a quick weekend getaway--well I was so very wrong! So wrong, that this morning we packed up and left leaving a night's $300 stay on the table. Funny thing, yesterday afternoon my husband and I looked at the cute cottages to purchase on Holly Avenue. After our experience last night, we wouldn't even consider purchasing one now! Before leaving, I called the manager, Ty, and explained what we experienced and why we decided to leave, but he didn't seem empathetic and I'm sure he has heard this same story many times before--we weren't the first and definitely won't be the last. Ty did not offer any concession or try to do anything to make it right. He simply made excuses and basically said "the kids on the golf carts turn off their headlights so we can't see or hear them if we try to enforce the curfew". It's the same golf carts that blare the music during the day--give me a break!! So what was supposed to be our third night at BethPage on this "what was supposed to be fun" weekend, I'm taking the time to write a negative review from my quiet living room sofa instead. I'm hoping this will help others to consider what they're getting themselves into before making reservations. I'm giving a 5 thumbs down review. read more

One of the best campgrounds in America! Had a great experience. Staff is friendly, guest are laid back, and the grounds are well maintained. First Glamping trip 6/27-6/29 2020. Easy checkin and hookup. Our location was ideal as we were very close to most of the amenities. The place is huge and all employees were helpful! You'll need to bring a bike or a golf cart to get around ! Don't have either? No worries you can rent theirs! Reasonable pricing for the rentals too! Their is a lake for swimming, kayaking, paddle boarding and a beach to lay out on. Bathrooms are conveniently close by. Bathrooms and bath houses are very clean and have air conditioning. The river is near by as well and has a landing area so you can bring a boat or ski. Huge lot near the dumpsters for ease of storing your stuff if you can't fit everything on your site! The camp store is very nice especially to pick up something you may have forgot or have a snack attack or just to pick up a gift. Again pricing is reasonable. Stores, boutiques, antiques, grocery store and ABC store within 10 minutes of camp ground. The ice creamery and mini golf makes this place even better !! Each week they have a newsletter that have a list of events for each day! Perfect place for all ages ! The only reason I am giving this a four star is because of COVID 19 - the water park was closed and the trampoline in the lake was not there. You had to wear a mask in the camp store which is totally understandable the only thing I didn't like was one of the employees told me I was wearing mine wrong - I honestly didn't even have to wear one because I have asthma but out of respect I did so. The incident just made me a little upset. Either way our group had a blast! So many memories were made! read more

Not sure how to do describe how unbelievably crazy this place is. Very disappointed in our choice to spend Labor Day weekend, which we cut short because of the loud,obnoxious campers. The sites are level and nicely paved but they are extremely close together and we had no shade at all. The road by our site was nothing but a parade of golf carts blasting music all day and night. The golf cart traffic throughout the campground was actually dangerous. We tried riding our bicycles but the number of golf carts made it almost impossible. The lake was full of sludgy, slimy, debris which deterred us from swimming or paddle boarding. We basically paid $140 per night to park our Airstream while we explored Urbanna, shopped and ate at the local restaurants. It's a lovely waterfront town. I could not and would not recommend this campground to anyone. Find a nice state park instead!! read more

Day 1: This place could be great, if they hired security and kicked out loud, drunk, obnoxious idiots. The campground itself is well maintained and it has a great pool, fishing peers, small lake with a beach, dog park, and miniature golf/ice cream parlor attached. The amount of drunks driving around on golf carts blasting music, blaring music and profanity coming from campsites, unsupervised kids riding around on bikes and driving golf carts on the same road with these drunks is dangerous. I am sitting here, been up since 5 a.m., thinking about packing up and leaving once the wife and kids wake up. We had the honor of having drunks blasting music across from us at midnight. When I walked over and politely asked them if they could turn it down a little, it set the Redneck fury in full motion. My wife was threatened, I was threatened, the loudness continued, and no one from the campground would answer the after hours number or came by the area. Unless you enjoy Rebel flags flying everywhere and being around the most completely unruly crowds imaginable, I would probably stay away. Nothing ruins a vacation like the need to carry a weapon on you due to people threatening you while being belligerent and drunk. Day 2: I spoke to Security this morning. They said they were aware that they had major issues the night before, but unaware of how far things had gone. They stated that there is an officer at the park until 2 a.m. daily. They stated they would be going to sites in the early afternoon, once the people were awake and sober. They came by my site to speak to my wife about the guy who came over cussing and threatening us while I was dealing with the mob across from our site. Not sure what they did, but it is now 4 p.m. and this place is 100% different than last night. We actually took a nap outside in the zero gravity chairs to enjoy the cool breeze. We will see how the rest of the weekend goes before I change my rating. The rest of the stay: The rest of the stay was great with the occasional outburst from the idiots across from us, pretty much just a jab at me to try to piss me off. I will give them a 3 as the place is very well maintained and there is a lot of fun to be had for the family. I do disagree with them that they let the people stay. If a large group creates a hostile environment, disturbing many others, and then threaten a woman, and are allowed to stay? The security, while trying to keep the peace, are far more tolerant than they should be. read more

Disappointed to not be able to bring a golf cart - money hungry camp ground will only allow you to rent from them. Cannot even rent a 6 seater and they are twice the cost for a rental as a local business that we have rented from previously. Had I known they were going to monopolize business, we never would have booked with them. All the extra costs for the amenities that are closed because of short staffing issues.... There was a fecal matter issue at the kiddie water park slide we told the lifeguards and they didn't do anything. Kids were sliding into it and we eventually went to the front desk to complain and the lifeguard didn't show up until 45 minutes later after it had gotten all over kids until it was gone they showed up. It was a male lifeguard he walked past it and shrugged his shoulders then looked at the slide toward the turtle and saw nothing. He walked by the yellow slide at the middle area again where it had happened and he bent down and saw it and made a "it tiny" gesture and walked away. They didn't close the park down to clean it at all. My dad is a firefighter/paramedic and it's considered a hazardous situation.... it's beyond disgusting. Also, workers vaping on duty especially when it comes to the lifeguards who's supposed to be watching kids if they drown. It only takes one mistake. read more

I'm 17 years old and we stay with our family, I love it there! I don't drink, it's not my thing personally and I try to avoid everything in that aspect. There is a lot of drinking with the adults, they have lots of fun and my family has a blast. The pool is great, the lake/beach is amazing, and the ice creamery is wonderful. The customer service at BPR is lovely and each worker is so kind, especially in the camp store and the entrance hut. Some permanent members can be rude but Id assume it because they have been drinking and have nothing better to do. If I have anything to say about Bethpage it would be at the campsite and camp resort is amazing but those who live there often feel unkind and rude, especially when drinking. Steer clear of drunks. read more

Pulled up to the guard shack to have everything processed quick and easy to get immediately taken to our lot. Spot was huge and hookup was easy. Only thing that seemed to be missing was a fire pit. Did the Christmas in July events which were very entertaining and kept my son very happy (he needed a reminder from Santa that he is always watching). Water park was clean and well maintained but staff was very "in a hurry to close it" at the end of the day. Activities staff made this a very enjoyable time! read more

We have been coming to Bethpage for three years. This year (2018) we visited twice. The campground is well kept. However customer service sucks. I walked to the reservation office and called twice. I was told maintenance would come down to see what they could do about my problem. Maintenance never showed. We learned the hard way that during the Oyster Fest, they will pack as many RV's into the most horrible spots ever (all for the love of money). They do not have control of those who use golf carts. They speed through the streets and pass campsites playing very loud music. If you are looking for peace and quiet during quiet time, this is not the place for you. No one honors quiet time. Our neighbors reserved three RV sites but only had one RV. They parked cars on one site and a trailer that did not require hook ups on the other site. However, we were assigned the muddiest site. There is no way trailers or cars should take priority over RVs that require hook ups and a dry campsite to take in the outdoor life. The photos I provided is what you will get at Bethpage. read more

It's a frat house for adults. The pools were disgusting (trash, band aids, dirt, greasy water) and no one believes in watching their children. The cabins were nice but extremely small, most people either know each other or own their own plot there so expect to see adult drunk parties everywhere during the weekend nights. Kayaking was the best part of this place but don't fall in the water, it's filled with jellyfish, not their fault but not something you'd expect unless you're a native to the area. read more

In order to convey the level of seriousness of this review, I'd like to start off by stating that I am writing this during my visit. It's just that important to me. I'll start off with the positives: - Maint. staff is awesome, knowledgeable, speedy, friendly and happy to help - the campground is beautiful, well-kept, full of activities & things to do - camping sites are easy to access and hookups are well thought out and placed with convenience in mind - campsite parking hosts and front gate hosts are friendly, helpful and make a great first impression of the campground - campground facilites are in great shape and maintained impeccably - campground layout is well-thought and everything is convenient - camping welcome package is very descriptive and does a great job welcoming you to the park - camp management is friendly and customer satisfaction oriented - mosquitos are under SERIOUS control here! i don't think we've ever had to light citronella candles or spray ourselves down in DEET. I don't think I've seen a campground in VA handle this as well as Bethpage does. Serious kudos here. - quiet hours are respected and observed by camp guests. there is definitely a high level of mature attitudes here given the large disparity in age between all guests that stay here. Now for the negatives: - front desk staff at the campground office is not customer-centric and not inviting to work with. In dealing with the front desk, my wife and I are regularly given condescending, patronizing and passive-aggressive remarks. There is one member in particular that both my wife and I will no longer work with because this person is just unpleasnt. While standing in line to be helped, the front desk staff is overtly rude and short to the guests they're working with. It is also worth noting that other guests have mentioned the same type of feedback. While standing in line today, there was not one guest at the counter that was happy with their experience. - microcharges for the various amenities within the park is pretty frustrating given the price per day cost. The cost of camping and experiencing the parks' amenities does not provide an equal or positive value to us as customers. While cost and value determination is subjective in nature, comparative to other parks, Bethpage is rather high. Specifically, the daily price of camping $85 per day, plus $15 golf cart charge per day, plus $4 in-season fee, is asking a lot ($104 per day, not counting taxes). To place context around this assertion of value and cost, consider that a stay at the Ft. Wilderness campground at Disney is $110/day for an in-session mid-grade site (without tax). While this cost is not cheap ($6 more than Bethpage), the value that my wife and I experienced while at Ft. Wilderness (disregarding the rest of Disney, for fairness' sake) far outweighs the value we've found at Bethpage. I could give examples but it would add more volume to this feedback than there already is. - guest visit costs. $12/per guest is unreasonable given the amount of cost-based amenities the park already has. I'm sure (hope) there is a business-math breakdown that is used to justify this number. Regardless of reason, guest visits can provide an intangible amount of profit because it can entice many visiting guests to return with their own camper (or even buy one). To me, $12 to spend a few hours at a campsite would be a huge turnoff. $6 seems reasonable, of course this is a subjective figure). read more

We have camped at Bethpage several times in the past 10 years. This was our first time back here since they were sold. We were very disappointed during this trip. One of the highlights for us coming here was the lake. No more. The beach isn't very inviting and the lake was even worse. It looks like the new owners are putting more money into expanding the already very big resort than into maintaining their man-made lake. The paying guests are supposed to observe the quiet hours of the campground but the construction workers do not. Woke up at 7 am to the sound of the backhoe. This will most likely be our last visit here. The benefits of the resort do not justify the cost anymore. We won't be recommending to friends anymore either. read more

My wife and I spent Thursday through Sunday here. We had heard good reviews and they were spot on. The staff is very friendly. They had very reliable and routine trash pick up from your site. Every place here was immaculate. One of the highest quality campgrounds I have ever seen. The pool area is AWESOME! The adult pool is an amazing thing. Will definitely come again.... Next time we might even bring the kids! :D The only reason I didn't give Bethpage a 5 star rating was that the amount of golf carts during the weekend was insane. Have stayed here in years past with literally 0 issues. Since it has changed hands from a local private owner to a corporate business (Thousand Trail's), it has become less than desirable. No longer does it have that home like feel, it has become very corporate and robotic in nature. You used to be able to hang an American flag from your golf cart, but that's no longer allowed. I'm sure the woke corporate is catering to the less than 1% who would ever stay here to begin with. You can also tell by the lack of staff to run the place that they do not buy into the corporate theme. In years past there was no shortage of staff, but this year all of the pools and slides can't be opened due to "lack of staff." Part of the charge to stay here are the amenities, but you can't even enjoy what you are charged for because they can't staff appropriately to open everything. Very frustrating as a long time guest to see the rapid decline happen right before my eyes. Really wish the owners family kept it instead of selling out to corporate greed. Stay at your own risk but be ready to abide by the rules, rules, and more rules! read more

Very disappointed!!! We had reservations for 7/5-7/8 that were made a week ago. Got called today that our reservation was cancelled. We were told that if we cancelled they would keep all of our money. We get nothing, due to their so called mistake. They said we could be put on the wait list, they should've have made the reservation. Really??? Not my problem. Thanks for nothing Bethpage. Not sure if we will be back. We book here every year for our anniversary. We loved the spacious 50'x50' sites separated with pines and the ability to "buddy up" with site behind. This trip we were guided to the new section. The gentleman back us in as far as possible hold long is forward of the awkwardly placed bollard to protect the water spigot from being hit with a slide out. Unfortunately this left no room to park the dually and a golf cart one disconnected. The new sites are SMALL! The attendant immediately saw the issue and suggested he call the office to see if they could move us to the old section. Luckily there was an open site and we were able be moved. The office staff is less than friendly. This may be our last trip here if the new section becomes the only available area for weekenders, If so this would be sad and unfortunate. Only time will tell. The campground was clean for the most part. If you have a large camper and tow vehicle just make sure to call ahead. read more

We have been coming there for 15 years. It is under New ownership. Will not go back we go with 12 campers. My site was a mud pit so was 7 others. Went to the office nothing was done all week, Beach was not even clean,pool water nasty. They said the would comp the next trip, Hell no. Please save your money I drive 4 hours to spend my camping trip in the mud can't get in the pool and wouldn't touch the beach. I loved that campground. Sorry you won't see our team there anymore. My family are true amateurs when it comes to RV camping so we were happy to show up to Bethpage in our rental RV and see drive through sites, easy hook-ups for power, water and sewage and nice clean facilities. We did not come properly prepared to cook so we ate several meals at the restaurant, the Poolside Cafe. This was not your average public pool snack bar, the food was excellent. Miracle is the chef and gave me several recommendations that were spot on. Breakfast was great and priced fairly and the lunch/dinner food was also very very good. I liked the chicken salad sandwich and the fried oysters. We will be returning to this clean, we maintained, well run campground. Also, a shout out to Urbanna Baptist Church for their service on Sunday morning at the campground. read more

First let me start off by saying that my family and I have been come to Bethpage campground for years. It use to be one of our favorite spots to go. However, over the years, it has become nothing but a drunk fest for adults on the weekends. And drunk adults who don't pay attention to their unruly children leads to disrespectful kids which I don't like. I hope that the start of this camping season is going well. This is a post that I put on your Facebook page back on October with the thought that someone would have read it and maybe responded to it. But no such luck.... Then I remember that one day I made a post asking that if anyone read and responded to post that people made and answer was no. The suggestion was made that I send it in the form of an email. So now that the camping season is upon us, I thought that it was a good idea for me to express my concerns. The majority of the time that we come to Bethpage, we have an awesome time. There have been a few times when people have been drunk and belligerent and that didn't impress us very much. But because we didn't want to cause any problems (we had to stay there for the weekend) we didn't say anything. To be honest, for a long time we felt that Bethpage was known as the "Part Campground." For that reason we much prefer to come during the week than on the weekends. Up until last year, we had spent the last few years at Grey's Point for Halloween. Because we had friends coming to Bethpage, we decided that we were going to try it again. (We had stopped in the past because of no trick or treating). Now on to my post from Facebook: "This was not a good weekend for me at Bethpage. People inside the tent were drunk, rude, and disrespectful. And their kids were just as bad destroying three props that were left there from earlier in the day. One kid was taking the tail of one rat and doing something that he shouldn't be doing with it to another rat and there were little kids standing there. His parents were there to but i guess they didn't care. Then some guy said to his friend as i picked up a skull his kids were bouncing back and forth on the table that "this was a kids event" as he walked over to the table that i put the skull on and he so nicely picked up and placed back on the other table. Well then kind sir control your kid and teach then not to destroy stiff that doesn't belong to them. And honestly, Bethpage should of had adult supervision inside just like they have the police riding around outside. I was very disappointed and I'm sure i made a few people mad at me in the tent. But there is a difference between having fun and being drunk and throwing a beanbag around and hitting people with it who didn't want to be hit and destroying property that didn't belong to you; like the pair of eyeballs that your child kept banging on the table." So I am saying all this to let you know how disappointed I was in how the supervision was during this event. The lack of respect of the adults that are camping there. Are there any public intoxication rules? It doesn't make it look good in front of the kids. And it really does give the campground a bad name. I hope that plans will be put in place that this does not happen in the future, not only at the Halloween event, but at all events. I do want to compliment Clark and all of the lifeguards at the pool. They are always very respectful and on point. read more

Been coming to Bethpage for a while and have to say my last few visits are less then stellar. I am currently staying here now for a 3 day get away. When we arrived I was amazed how nasty the site was. Cigarette butts everywhere,trash and chicken bones. Called the front desk to request someone to clean up the site before we could setup. Supersites are a joke ! Sites are so small you can't even let your slide out all the way. As other people have said kids are not watched by their parents very well. Think I'll start looking for new campground. read more

Bethpage is a very good campground. However there is a little too many drunk people driving around on golf carts to be considered completely family-friendly. This is not a place I would allow my children to ride around on bicycles for fear they may be killed by some drunk guy driving a golf cart. Other than that one problem this place is second to none. The staff are super friendly. The pools are well-maintained. The waterslides are awesome. The camp store is well stocked and It has a very nice ice creamery on the premises. This is primarily a weekend place as there are not very many activities during the week. read more

Excellent campground. Amenities: Outstanding Maintenance: Outstanding Size/location/condition of sites: Great Cleanliness: Outstanding Affordability: Pricey...but it takes $$ to offer the amenities they have. Worth it. Service: Okay...not the most warm and fuzzy... Noise: Quiet and extremely peaceful....but we were there Sun-Tues Child Friendly: Totally We found this campground online and selected it do to location (reasonable drive from Washington Metro Area)...and amenities suitable for amusing a busy 4 year old. Excellent experience. We were there Sun-Tue...therefore the campground was very, very quiet. Gated resort...amazing water park...extremely well maintained...sites were super easy for pull through and hook ups....you could have camp fire at your site...well provisioned camp store with anything you might need...close to Urbanna if you want to explore antique shops/market/restaurant...nice fresh water lake with paddle boats and sandy beach...very, very clean bathhouses...really...a very nice campground. The staff were numerous...very much rule enforcers and not necessarily the warmest....but at a resort of that size I guess rules are rules. Life guards were extremely nice and friendly. They also offer rental cottages for folks without RVs. I would highly recommend this campground...but my guess is if you go on a weekend, holiday or special event...the place will be hopping. read more

We stayed April 2019 for 3 nights. We had a total of 7 campers throughout the park. We had all ages in our group and I don't think one of us were spared from what I will call HARASSMENT. We were constantly stalked, targeted and under surveillance for the entire stay. UNWARRANTED. Below is a lists of incidents from our stay: 1. The kids were told they couldn't ride on the side of the road they had to ride on the side walk. Which is difficult when you have people walking on the side walk. Then told by another security guard it was not a rule and tell the other guy it was not a rule if he said something again. 2. We had 2- 3 year olds at our site riding their bikes around the light post ....again on our site (we were right at the end of the lane) ...and they were told they couldn't do that. 3. 2 of our teenagers were climbing trees and security reported to our lot stating it was destruction of Beth page property and insinuated that we would be kicked out if we were spoken too again 4. A group was INSIDE of the camper playing a card game and security came and said they were laughing too loud 5. An 18 year was vaping and security asked how old he was. The response was 18 do you want to see my ID and security says "oh I guess your getting smart now huh? ".... NO he answered your question and was willing to show proof 6. We had a maintenance guy stop by too "look" at the water spicket . We did not call him nor was there an issue with said spicket...why was he there? He surely didn't show up when our lot had 3 inches of water sitting on it to see if he could help out.... 7. The teens left a day early because they were tired of being harassed. 2 security guards followed them to the gate and then refused to let them out of the gate until they laid on the horn until they opened it.....again. WHY? 8. Security Circling the campers multiple times an hour looking for a reason to approach us 9. Security was driving around with no head lights targeting people - yet kids have to have bike lights??? 10. 2- of Beth page maintenance trucks were flying past the park by the pavilion on Saturday - isn't the speed limit 10mph? The complete an utter disrespect from the guards and the lack of care for the patrons is astounding. Friday into Saturday it rained quite a bit. Most of our lots were covered in 3 inches of water and still were when we left on Sunday. One of the people in our group stopped and spoke to a security person about it and I overheard the security guy say "Well it did rain... that is part of camping...if you want to complain you can go up to the office and speak with them". LOOK I get that it rained and I can understand it being wet and maybe a little muddy however What we experienced is not normal or business as usual. Beth page you know you have a problem with your sites flooding ... how about you work on that instead of bringing in the tiny homes for people to purchase. You are a camping resort and you should be catering to the campers. Also, let's talk about these water restrictors you guys installed. It took atleast 5 - 10 minutes to get water pressure to build up in our campers and the flow that comes out is crappy. Yet you leave the lights on 24-7 in your new rental/sale units?But we can't have normal water pressure? We spent a good portion of our summer at Bethpage last year and LOTS of money along with our stays and have never experienced such disrespect and disregard for the people who PAY to be there. When did Beth Page become a penitentiary? We have to buy yard time now when we camp? Oh wait we already paid so what's going on here? This stay is not a stay I can look at and say I enjoyed and not the other 6 campers that were with us. Either. We do not intend to return to your establishment and donate anymore of our money just to be targeted and harassed for our whole stay. read more

This is great campground. It has a pool and a nice beach . It also has places where you can fish and has a nice country store. I really liked staying there. They also have cottages there if you don't have a camper. I would recommend this place. read more

This is my favorite camp resort in Virginia! I like the family environment and the amenities are the best around! some times the pool area gets congested but there is a great beach on the lake right next to the pool area! read more

My family just went to Bethpage for the first time. It's a beautiful place, well kept, clean. We did have a few issues during Memorial Day weekend. We checked in Thursday May 25th. We got to the camp ground late around 1015pm. A gentlemen on a golf cart lead us to our site and show us where to pull in and we set up and everything was fine. The next day Friday when a lot of people were showing up we were out on paddle boards for over an hour, we come back and our friend who was the sent next to us stated the front desk was looking for us. The gentlemen that worked there rode up on a golf cart very arrogant and said your in the wrong spot and need to move right now and the people that Belonv in this spot have been sitting in rode for over an hour. We stayed their staff put us here. He stay he didn't care and needed to see our paperwork and we were in the wrong spot and should have been one spot over. So the staff said well the guy wouldn't mind taking your spot. So we were like so you made this person sit in rode for an hour when you could have just given him the other spot???? It happened to a few other people on our same street. Also they do not carry enough golf carts for the site. We went first thing on Friday and there were about 15-20 golf carts and I was told they were reserved for handicap. I said I tried to reserve one over phone but was told it's first come first serve for handicap or regular. So we spend Thursday-Monday with no golf cart which was not very pleasant. Then we were told come back Sunday at 4. We did and they said they are not renting the returns back out. It was over populated with teens on golf carts driving fast, drinking and not paying attention. Golf carts were parking in front of gate to pool and in front of entrance way to lake. I would return but not on a weekend. read more
