They keep telling me "their accounting is working on it" and nothing gets done. It's also impossible to get any of the area directors on the phone for any issues after you sign up with them. Attached are all of the emails of them going back and forth and gaslighting me. This place deserves to be sued and shut down!

If you're paying a company to have someone served, the people who work at that company should at least be familiar enough with the law and legalese to advise you on the process of suing someone in small claims court. Talking down to someone who wants to do business with you who claims they paid a rental company a holding deposit they're withholding should be pretty easy. You're suing the corporation. I mentioned the corporation's name three times on the call and he continued to ask me who I'm suing. I told him, look, if I'm paying you I need to know I'm handling this appropriately. Who am I suing? The corporation? The manager? If I'm suing who I paid directly that would be Rent Cafe but I'm obviously not doing that. He continued to talk down to me as if I, the customer, was wasting his time. Yuck. Understand that you can work with these people, but they don't even have general legal knowledge.
