I was looking for replacement strings, including low G for a tenor ukulele. Guitar Center didn't have the strings in stock, but I could look for them at the online Guitar Center site. I did find replacement fluorocarbon strings for my new (at least new to me) soprano ukulele. If you're looking for regular musical instruments that you could play in a rock band, such as keyboards, guitars, drums, and their accessories, instrument cases, music stands, speakers and amps, you could probably find it here and at different price points. The employee that I asked for assistance in locating where the ukulele replacement strings knew exactly which aisle to walk me to, but two other employees didn't seem to want to use the register to ring up my purchase so I could leave, making me wait until a third employee walked up to ask if I was ready to check out. After I said yes, he walked to get another employee to help me. At the end of the sale transaction, the employee thanked me. I just stood there looking at him. That's when he asked, "Didn't I give you your receipt?" I replied, "Yes, but you didn't give me my strings that I just paid for." In the short time that I was at the register, the employee managed to hide the strings from himself and it took him a few seconds to find them.

"highly sought after teacher" / "works 6 days a week" - what this really means is you're understaffed and overworking your teachers. If they're working 6 days a week how can they possibly meaningfully engage with their students? Don't confuse lack of teacher supply with quality of teacher. Parents are smarter than that. 3. We provide welcome packets for instruction. This completely misses the point. What about meaningful parent engagement to ensure practice at home? What about recitals to showcase learning? A packet is not a replacement for meaningful dialogue and musical learning. I repeat - we were there for almost a year, RECITALS NEVER HAPPENED. We doubled up with voice lessons + piano lessons. Parents --- do the math, this was a terrible investment. Conclusion: We've been at ZTunes and have never been happier. As a parent, I'm too busy to throw shade or unnecessarily put down small businesses. This experience was severe enough for me to do so (TWICE), because I feel like I have an obligation to parents out there who are just looking for a meaningful musical experience for their children.

It is for kids ages 0-5, which at first I was nervous about, but it was fine. Parent involvement is needed, so if you think you are going to go and just watch, you are wrong. The class is on Saturdays before the store opens, and you need to per-register. It is an 8 week class that is about $130 for one kid and $200 for 2. The teacher gets everyone to sing songs, play instruments, and dance. My kids loved the drums and the songs. They made us all have a dance party and my little guy was rocking out to " We will Rock You" by Queen. It is nice that it is not all kiddy songs. They also were showing the kids how to keep a rhythm with drum sticks. I highly recommend this class to anyone with little rock stars!

The staff is very organized and professional which I appreciated so much! My kids are already asking for more weeks of camp!!! When I arrived Renee wasn't there and apparently neither was anyone else who could process my payment. Not only that -they were not ready for my daughter either and suggested that I take off and that she "hang out" there for about an hour and half with them. She's 8!! ok...... Surely they mean that there are some other kids perhaps in the same situation and they have some activities planned for them or something along those lines. I quickly figured out that was not the case as I watched the instructors skip out to lunch. Since no else said anything else to me I decided to sit and wait with my daughter until they returned and made time for her....A few days later I checked my bank account only to find that school of rock had charged me double. #$%^&*(. And when I called and spoke with the owners Mike and Renee, they cheerfully responded with sarcasm and reassured me again that "WE DONT GIVE A SHIT!!!!!" AND just to make sure that I got the message Mike sent me a cheerful email..with all exclaimation points..that he PERSONALLY DOESN"T GIVE 2 SHITS!!! . My next issue with these assclowns. We've been sooo happy with Eclectic…read more Background: My spouse is a professional musician who is mostly self-taught, and has a company that does mommy/me music classes for ages 0-4; I also do some music as a side gig and was classically trained (Suzuki) though don't do classical anymore, and both of my sisters have taught piano. We wanted our kids to love music first and foremost. That's what Eclectic prioritizes, and we really couldn't be happier with it. It's a little weird for me to imagine my kids NOT taking classical-type piano just because I was immersed in that growing up and it was such a big part of my youth. But I also had some reservations about my "path" which gave me lots of sightreading skills and a good musical ear, but I had a ton of insecurity being as good at piano as I was but having zero improv / chords skills. Until I started playing with my husband in my 30s, I could not "sit down" at a piano despite having devoted my entire upbringing to it; I was nothing without sheet music in front of me. We weren't in a hurry to start them on formal music lessons, but my younger child (currently age 7) had taken an interest in drumming before he even turned 1, and was really talented, but I was noticing his technique wasn't good so we decided to get him lessons just before he turned 4 - mainly so he would learn the right stick technique before getting too attached to something that would be hard to unlearn. Then the pandemic happened, of course. But we kept up with virtual lessons for him, and then later added voice lessons for my older child (age 9), who didn't so much take to the virtual lesson but then started taking ukulele last year and absolutely loved it, particularly her teacher Lily. Both of their teachers (Stevie and Lily) play and teach multiple instruments, so my kids can change it up when they get bored, and are already learning multiple instruments. Maybe my favorite part of Eclectic is the showcase. This is not your mother's piano recital - the kids are up on stage at the Red Light Cafe and the cash bar is open! Such a cool experience for both of my kids, and I had a great time. I repeat, I had a great time at my kids' music recital. Eclectic also has "regular" piano recitals, but even these seem to be filled with so much more creativity than mine growing up. Kids sometimes play their own original songs, and the variety is amazing! I am not knocking Suzuki, but listening to the same 10 "book 1" tunes (Lightly Row, Honeybee, ........) at least once per recital for 12 years... oof! The recitals I've been to are pretty short and go quickly, and I rarely hear repeats. Finally - we love their summer camps, which culminate in a 6-song mini-concert where the kids have two bands that play all together as an ensemble. It's just awesome. We're so happy.

I worked at this store for approximately a year. My experience started out positively during the…read morefirst couple of months, but unfortunately, it steadily declined after that. One of my first frustrations involved compensation. I was told by Lindsay that after three months I would receive an evaluation and potentially a pay raise. That evaluation never happened as promised. It ultimately took around ten months before I received approximately a 10% raise. The raise itself wasn't the issue as much as the fact that what I had initially been told was never followed through on. In my experience, George and Claire were two of the most competent and hardworking people there, and I have respect for the teachers and repair staff as well. My biggest problems were with the environment surrounding the sales staff. There was an excessive amount of sitting around on phones, inappropriate conversations, and sexual jokes throughout the workday. At first, I assumed it was occasional joking between coworkers, but it became a regular part of the work environment. I repeatedly expressed that I didn't enjoy those conversations, but they continued. My interactions with Mike were particularly frustrating. On one occasion, he repeatedly called me a "twink" because I didn't have facial hair. He also regularly made comments telling me that I should "suck a cock or two to find myself." These weren't isolated comments. From my perspective, this type of behavior occurred regularly despite me making it clear that I didn't appreciate it. When I objected to the jokes, I was then accused of being homophobic. Regardless of anyone's sense of humor, I don't believe an employee should have to repeatedly deal with sexual comments directed at them after asking for them to stop. Another major frustration was the distribution of work. I frequently felt that I was expected to handle undesirable or tedious tasks while other employees spent significant amounts of time sitting, talking, or using their phones. At the time, I was making around $12 an hour. Eventually, I became so frustrated with the environment that I began calling out frequently because I genuinely did not want to be there. There were also situations involving customers that contributed to my decision to leave. One regular customer, Mark Pollack, repeatedly made comments to me about whether I was successful with women and once asked me an explicitly sexual question. He would sometimes ignore me socially while still expecting me to retrieve guitars for him to play. During one interaction, after I responded to something he said, he told me that I needed to "shut my mouth and not speak again." I found that extremely disrespectful. That same day, Mike told me in front of another customer that I would never make it anywhere, including Nashville. For me, that was the final straw. Whatever disagreements coworkers may have with each other, I don't believe it is appropriate for an older coworker to repeatedly make sexual remarks toward a younger employee or publicly tell that employee that he will never succeed. I paid off my account that day, left, and never returned. Based on my personal experience, I cannot recommend this store as a workplace. I believe George and Claire have put substantial effort into keeping the business running, but the culture I experienced among parts of the sales staff was unprofessional, immature, and unnecessarily hostile. What began as a job I genuinely enjoyed became an environment I no longer wanted to be around. I hope the workplace culture improves in the future, particularly when it comes to professionalism, accountability, appropriate conversations between coworkers, and respecting employees when they ask for certain comments to stop.

Upon arriving, we walked in and was greeted by a manager he let us know we have an hour of play time before we have access to the room. Once had access to the room, we had 20 mins to set up, which our party coordinator, Jada, really showed her strengths. Once the room was set up, our guest were allowed to enter. We had 40 mins to enjoy the snacks we provided and pizza from the venue. We were allowed to bring a cooler and prepackaged foods. We had charcuterie, fruit, drinks, chips, candy and cupcakes. The pizza, fries and chicken tenders were provided by catch air. They do have a full kitchen with many hot items, a limited coffee menu, plenty of cold beverages, ice cream, candy, snacks and cold sandwiches. Overall impressed with the food aspect, the buffalo chicken pizza is worth a try. The bathroom facilities are clean and the play area is expansive. Your kiddos will not run out of things to do regardless of age. The under 4 area was not lacking. They even have a toddler area up on the second play level. Ari took our pics and was extremely professional. Can't recommend this venue enough.

Staff did not know that decorations could not be taped to the ceiling, staff did not include a happy birthday display for the celebrants, staff did not help clean the room ahead of the next party, and staff were VERY rude to the parents and guess of the celebrant. The process to check in was not bad. I actually like that they put invisible stamps on family members which staff then check upon departure to ensure that you are leaving with the correct child and did not just sneak in unpaid. Overall, the children had a lot of fun playing, however, I would never book a birthday party here for the simple fact that they don't know how to handle them and for the price that they're charging I don't think it's worth it.
