My name is Dan and…read moreusing my wife's Yelp account, I'm a 50 year musician and currently am the Rhythm Guitar player for DeJa Vu in Yuba City. I have been a lifelong customer of Petes Music in Yuba City. A $10 cord has consistently and intermittently shorted out while playing at gigs. To be sure it wasn't a problem with my equipment, I used it on different equipment. At the Yuba City Peach Festival this past weekend, I had 3 issues again. These all but brief lost connection and is frustrating and not acceptable. The Petes Music technician said there is nothing wrong with it. I told them I disagree. I told her that 3 musicians and several issues with this cord should be good enough evidence something is wrong. "And given my lifelong customer status, are you telling me you would rather imply I don't know what I'm talking about and lose a regular consumer"? She told me "That's your choice". This response is disrespectful at best and basically, their refusal to accept that the cord obviously has an issue during performances, is a rhetorical statement that im a liar too. Does Pete know of a shortage on cords? Must be a real issue. I'm sorry business must be tight because that $10 cord was probably purchased for $2 at wholesale.

I called them back later that day and the next day, the manager did not bother to get on the phone with me but was relaying messages to Megan on the phone. They assured me they would be calling me back. The next day. I received a text message letting me know it would be six more weeks and the manager would update me. I had yet to talk to a manager or receive an apology. I texted back that it was unacceptable since they already had it 6 weeks and they lost it. They said they would try to get it done as soon as possible. Two weeks later I was informed the manager would be picking up the instrument and would contact me. A week later Gabe contacted me and was very apologetic for the situation. This was the first apology that I had received. Gabe is the reason this review got one star. He went above and beyond to apologize, communicate and called me more than once. I did get the instrument back. However, when I went to go pick it up, Megan acted like she did not want to help me or recognize that I was in the store. I paid over $300 to have the instrument fixed and my daughter informed me not all the pads were replaced. Very disappointed in this music store and the customer service received. I will be using a different music store in the future
