My doctor recommend an option for Physical Therapy to ease back into exercise and to make sure that I protected my repair since it can take almost a year to fully heal. I was recommend to this location by a friend of mine who had a similar injury. When I initially called Dunn and Associates I was greeted by a receptionist that was very friendly but not informative. I kept asking questions like what to expect, what to wear, and how much my insurance would cover for the service. Even though I gave my insurance information over the phone and describe my reasons for physical therapy, I was told that all information would be addressed in my initial consultation. When I arrived for my initial consultation I was told it was actually my first therapy visit and I would have to pay my copay. I was extremely put off by this, because I made the appointment before work and was dressed in a skirt and office jacket. I was not prepared to pay or participate in a session. I even commented to receptionist that when I made the reservation over the phone she should have instructed me on what to bring and that money would be due. It was not that I didn't expect a cost, but I would have like to known the price so I could save my money or even postpone my first appointment so I could pay at time of service if the amount would have been substantial. I have had two physical therapy sessions so far. Most of the therapy is related to Pilates and protecting the core. I receive very detailed instructions and handouts for me to practice moves at home. They constantly ask me to have weights and a small ball at home, but I keep telling them they should offer this as apart of their rehab service since it is required for my at home therapy routine. I have seen some improvements with movements and think that the therapy is really helping me in getting back to shape. I am still bothered that this office just seems generally disorganized when I arrive and on communicating what is expected about the therapy process. I could not imagine being older and not understanding what was needed to get the best results from my therapy. I am happy with the Physical Therapist I have, but feel like all the non medical staff needs to learn more about the business to have better customer service. Few more weeks and I trade this office for my Gym.

He diagnosed the problem, told me that due to the severity the only option was surgery, and finished with the successful pain relieving surgery. Fast forward, I'm not sure how many years since that surgery and no pain but several months ago I wondered if it was coming back. In this modern era I researched on the internet and found carpal tunnel syndrome can reoccur. I convinced myself this was the problem and finally got around to scheduling an appointment with Dr. Blackburn. Today I went for that appointment and was once again impressed with Dr. Blackburn's professionalism, his examination , the x-rays to confirm his diagnosis, and the treatment. Great news it was not carpal tunnel, did not need surgery, and was treated with the fitting of a hard wrist brace. I'll go for a recheck in 6 weeks but I can tell there was Instant relief from the pain the minute the wrist brace was fitted. Thanks again Dr. Blackburn! You are Woohoo, as good as it gets.

HORRIBLE OFFICE/ Let…read moreme start off by saying I personally worked with some of the physicians in this office and I do think they are top notch. My personal experience was horrible, I was attempting to make an appointment for my 12 yr old son after we were hit by a driver who ran a red light. My son was immediately taken to the ER and dx with a broken hand on 5/18, we were told to get him into Louisville arm & hand as soon as possible. On 5/20 (Monday) we called to make the appt and was told we can not without the proper claim information . We promptly got that and called the office back with that info. The first person we spoke to stated the insurance company would have to call. We asked for the number they need to call and were told the lady who takes care of this does not recieve Incoming calls because she was too busy. We asked if we could provide the number to call and was then told that she does not place outgoing calls either. Some one please explain how someone dealing with insurance does not place or receive calls?!? We contacted insurance desperately because my son is in pain and plays sports and we need to know what is happening with his hand. As a RN myself I was afraid it was healing improperly during the time we were waiting. So our insurance company called the office. By 5 PM that day, I got a call asking if I still want my son to be seen?!? I said of course his hand is broken. The female stated she would need the insurance information. I explained this had been provided 3 times now and she said, " oh yea, I see that in the chart. I will have someone call you tomorrow to schedule." 5/21: By 1 PM we had no call to schedule so I reached out. An extremely rude woman said she could not help because it shows the insurance was in there but not confirmed. I explained I got a call last night saying it was confirmed. She said " welp, I can't do anything because there is no note in the chart" I asked to be scheduled as a self pay and she said " we can not and will not schedule your son as it is a motor vehicle accident and we need to claim to be confirmed" I explained he was in pain, he is young and plays sports and she said " this is not my fault and I can't do anything" she said she could send a note back to the woman who takes care of this but that is all as that individual does not accept incoming calls" I called Louisville Ortho immediately and was able to schedule my son for a visit on 5/22 with no issues. It is 5/22 at 9:30 AM and I have yet to hear from Norton Louisville Arm and Hand. Absolutely unacceptable service and response time. Extremely rude and unknowledgeable office staff. Will never send anyone there for any sort of treatment.

Just concerned I won't remember my meds is all. They were in my file the whole time? Then Dr. Price bolted into the room briefly asked what was going on, cut me off while I was talking, told me he didn't see anything on the x-ray to match with the pain I was having. Most doctor's smoothly slowly exam range of motion during the leg exam, NO! He rapidly shoved my legs back as if to play with a young child. Extremely painful, but he had already made his mind up that I wasn't having any issue. I was wearing a skirt he didn't bother covering me up as he flailed my legs around in the air even thought I had asked for covering! I asked did he view the MRI imaging that my other specialist saw issues? Extremely arrogant, dismissive, and disrespectful. Really spoke down to me as if I were crazy and not in extreme pain. As he roughly shoved around on my back during his brief exam I explained I was having a spinal fusion surgery and disc removed in my lower neck, he scoffed as if I didn't need that either. Tried quickly telling him I had severe pain in lower back and possible fusion there as well, but he cut me off again so I wasn't allowed to explain that either. THREE TIMES he shoved where my other damaged disc was that's pinching on the nerves!!! I was gasping for air and instantly sobbing as he told me that's where my hip pain was coming from. AGAIN my spine specialist saw in the MRI and showed me where my hip bone was pushed over rubbing bone on bone in the socket. He left the room, I hobbled over to be sick from the pain HE INDUCED then took my next muscle relaxer. He comes in to see me picking up my leg then dropping it when I walk he cockily asked WHY ARE YOU WALKING LIKE THAT? You need to bend your knee, no wonder you are in pain, AS IF I'm causing this debilitating pain! Like it's my fault? Through my tears I try to explain it hurt moving the joint around, this has been the only way I have been able to survive throughout the day with the pain. He finally admits to seeing what the other two doctor's saw, didn't give me a treatment plan, my options, nothing! Offered a shot in my hip, I'm still trying to collect myself and in shock that a supposed top notch doctor couldn't be so condescending and pompous to his patients, but I now see he has 12 other poor online reviews over the years stating the same exact situation and character. Well done you want the treatment or not?! I really wanted to bolt out of there but my children need me back to some kind of working order and my other surgeries are approaching. He finally gives me a gown but hikes my skirt all the way up and my panties down vs just pulling both down a little bit from the top as I requested. He doesn't sterilize the area, slowly put the needle in but it was very painful. His nurse suited him as she was just as rude and abrupt as he was looking at me as if I were petty, I hear her from the hallway, all needles are uncomfortable. The staff were very professional and the place was tidy and clean. I had some complications with skin tissue build-up which required some deep tissue massage. The staff knew exactly what to do. Milli Crowder and Kelly Condren both worked on me until I was able to complete my rehab and return to a normal life. PT can be painful at times and the staff constantly watched and gauged my reactions to reduce my suffering.
