We came here twice during our Lake Placid visit and both times, everything was great. First time, I had a delicious biscuit with sausage gravy and I devoured that. My husband had banana nutella french toast and I thought he was going to eat the place. We came back a second time and this time I had a special on the menu which was "house biscuits griddled in our waffle iron topped with white pepper gravy, 2 poached eggs, crispy chicken and maple chive hollandaise" with home fries on the side. When it came out, I thought there was no way I could eat that but twenty minutes later, my plate was nearly empty. It was so good. The chicken was amazing, the eggs were great and the biscuit/waffle was spectacular. I think I left about five or six little potatoes. Service was great and even though there was a line for a table, it moved quickly. I highly recommend this place for great food in a nice atmosphere with excellent service.

My favourite table has a window seat in it, like a bay window, with a pillow for back support, with a British flag design on it. Aren't there likenesses of the Queen (Elizabeth II) around the shop? I believe so, and wonder what they will do now that QEII has passed on? Perhaps they will eventually post pictures of King Charles III. It will be my pleasure to go back to check it out. The cafe space overlooks the tarmac, but we were a little bummed that we only saw one plane takeoff while we were eating. We aren't locals and assumed there would be more! But that wasn't an issue. Plus, once my toddler started to get fussy, the staff whipped out a coloring book and some crayons. It was so so kind of them and nice that they were prepared. The food was excellent as well. My husband got the hash and eggs and was very pleased with the big hunks of corned beef throughout the hash. I tried his homefries and they were also delicious!
