It's a nice local spot to get a good salad and a welcome relief from McDonald's and Arby's

It is a small shop but extremely comfortable place to be. I was really happy with this shop.. It's not far from where I was staying and the team member was very enthusiastic about this place. Easy in and out off the main road and they had a reasonable parking lot. We walked into a very busy shop with many people working together behind the counter to make the line move very quickly. Place your order, pay and they put your food together. They had a great selection of everything with plenty of bagel choices. They were all moving extremely quickly here. The bagels were extremely fresh and tasty. I always remark that I like these "plump" bagels. I would not feel the same if they were not as soft and fresh and tasty as there were. I had cream cheese on an onion-egg (not toasted) and my wife had a toasted everything with butter. All good. They put a fair amount of cream cheese on and the butter bagel was not dripping. I will definitely return on my next trip back to Utica. Kudos to the team at Willie's Bagel Cafe

This was perfect location wise just being a short distance from our hotel. Getting into the area early Saturday morning meant tons of street parking so that was no issue. Stepping inside they have plenty of seating and I can imagine it would be a perfect spot to study for college classes for the students. The space was open and felt inviting. Service was friendly and quick with no issues. One worker taking care of drinks while another worked on the food with the one more free taking orders. They have most of what you would expect a coffee spot to have drink wise for both coffee and teas with seasonal and special flavors too. Food wise they have loads of breakfast and lunch bagel sandwich options with a good variety of bagel flavors to change it up as well. Drink wise my wife got their pumpkin latte seasonal and loved it, while I got the Brown Sugar Cinnamon Latte that was solid once mixed a little more. Food wise we both liked the sound of their Lumberjack that came with two eggs, bacon, sausage, cheese, and a maple syrup drizzle. We differed on our bagel choice with my wife picking cinnamon raisin and I chose cinnamon French toast. Both bagels were delicious and well made and the sandwiches were tasty just would likely ask for either lighter maple syrup or none next time. Made quite a mess and made it a bit too sweet but no real complaints. We were happy to try this spot out and would be a spot we would frequent if we were local! Good drinks and tasty bagels with really endless choices for sandwiches when you consider all the bagel choices. If you want a bagel meal if you are in the area check this place out!

Owner Tony Daddabbo, an Auburn native, honed his bagel-making skills in New York City at the popular "Columbia Bagel" just a few blocks from Columbia University. Daddabbo said the key to making an authentic New York City-style bagel is to keep it simple and fresh, using five simple ingredients: Water, yeast barley malt, syrup, salt and flour. Wife and I recently stopped into Auburn Bagel company to grab a quick bite before running some chores. It was around 1030AM on a Sunday, and there were already plenty of customers dining or ordering. We looked at the menu and my wife decided on a Bagel Weck sandwich on pumpernickel - roast beef, creamy horseradish and a side of aus jus for dipping, while I chose a chicken parm sandwich on a garlic bagel. The line to order moved quickly, employees were friendly, and our food was made relatively quickly, and we enjoyed our food - my only complaint was my bagel was a bit too toasted and crispy for my liking, but that's all preference and there was nothing wrong with the sandwich itself. We did think it was a tad pricey (over $12 for each for a bagel sandwich), but they were a decent size and were filling. We'd definitely return.

I had the bagel of the week - Quattro Formaggio ( 4 cheeses)... with bacon, egg and fried egg it was a very tasty sandwich. (My only disappointment was the very small amount of thin bacon and it was all on one side as you can see in the picture). I love that you can order the egg scrambled or fried. Excellent bagel, delivered warm and quite quickly considering how busy they were.

Their ingredients are locally sourced, and all of their menu items are fresh and made from scratch. I walked into Riverwalk Bagel on a rare morning trip to Oswego village and wanted some breakfast. Ordered a ham, egg and cheese on a jalapeno cheddar bagel. Got it, started eating and everything seemed fine. Meat was piled high, bagel was decent, but as I took a bite or two, I noticed something green in my egg. Not really sure how I missed it, as the spots are noticeable even in the pic I took before I started eating. I took the sandwich apart to see that there were green spots all over my egg. I took it to the front counter to see if maybe there was something they put in the eggs I didn't know about, but the response was basically "no, they're just old and get green spots on them when left in the steamer too long." I watched another employee go to the steamer and throw away the remaining eggs, but received no offer to remake mine or anything, employees were pretty apathetic the entire time I was there. I'm not expecting employees of a bagel shop to jump for joy or anything, but the complete lack of interest from the employees when I expressed a concern about an admitted problem on their end will probably keep me from coming back again.
