Called salon and requested 2 appointments for mani/pedis. Was advised appointments were not used or…read moreavailable and that this is a 1st come 1st serve salon. No problem, we drove 45 minutes to get there. When we arrived at 11am we were greeted by Lee who seemed very friendly and polite. We were seated in the last 2 open chairs and began to listen to the casual conversations around us. $5 Lee was the entertainment. We understood the 1st in thing completely as we patiently waited. As the hours ticked by, I finally got my pedi prep by MaMa and then waited again for a very busy Rose to get around to complete the gel color. In the meantime, my SIL was finally getting her pedi from Lee. Again we waited. We were forced to watch a Vietnamese cooking show that was tuned in the entire time we were in the salon. While finishing her pedi, my SIL asked about the possibility of a mani as she is a nail biter and had very small nail beds. Rose assured her that it could be done but she would be using overlay rather than tips. Rose worked on my gel manicure first and then started the overlay. She even took before and after photos to post on her webpage. I was truly impressed. At just after 5pm we were finally finished. Even though the wait was ridiculous, we felt it was worth it. It was my treat and $255 later (including tip), feeling pretty, we left (after over 6 hours in the salon) with the assurance that we should return if we had any issues. After just 3 days one of SIL's acrylic overlays popped off. 2 of the other nails had jagged edges and several of my gels were chipping. The salon opened at 10am and since we knew of the 1st come 1st serve policy we were at the door at 9:25am. Shortly thereafter a well dressed lady showed up and advised she had a standing 10am appointment for a mani with Rose. Another very nice lady also showed up and said she was advised by Lee to come at 10am. When Lee opened the door promptly at 10, he advised he had a 10am pedi scheduled with yet another lady. So much for the no appointment, 1st come policy. When I tried to get the situation sorted out, Lee said "don't you make my day bad, I am diabetic and I'm already shaking". He advised me to sit and that Rose was on her way. He escorted the 2 pending pedis to a chair and asked my SIL to have a seat at a mani station. The 10am mani appointment went straight to Rose's station. Lee then began the pedis and began answering questions about us to the ladies he was attending to. "No, they don't come here, they need repairs". He also commented on SIL's lack of nail beds (while she was sitting behind him). When Rose showed up, he advised we were there for repairs. She remembered us right away and said "she has no nail beds, I said I would do my best". The mani lady knew we were there and why and advised to handle SIL first. Both Lee and Rose, almost in unison said no, she will take too long. So SIL sat, I sat and they talked about us both like we weren't even there. After waiting until after 10:30, my blood was boiling. I felt disrespected, lied to, and cheated. At this point I told my SIL, I had to leave and actually started to but came back in. I had to voice my ABSOLUTE FEELINGS OF FRUSTRATION & anger. "I'm not sure what I am more upset about, your disrespect of my SIL in front of her, your lies about appointments and 1st come 1st serve, the fact that I paid top dollar and tipped accordingly or you complete lack of customer service" or something to that effect. I advised I would leave a bad review to which Lee loudly responded he would have an answer to. What should have been a simple fix and repeat business for LA Nails, turned into people showing true colors. Experience showed new customers are not treated the same as the regulars. If you're new, look elsewhere.

I needed an acrylic fill-in badly! wasn't sure where to go as I'm new to the Buckley area.. Chose…read moreLA Nails after reading lots of reviews and looking at nail pics. i did have to wait a bit since they don't take appts but I did call ahead. Rose and Lee were very friendly, and kept acknowledging me with updates as to when it'd be my turn. I wanted a design instead of just polish, so I brought a pic for reference.. I told Rose to be creative and just do whatever.. I got there about 1:00, got seated at a station about 2:30 as there were 2 people ahead of me. Finished at 4:20.. Nail art is just that, ART.. it takes time... love, love, love the results!
