I have been coming to this salon for over 5 years and have never once left a negative review anywhere before, but my last several visits has left me so upset that i'm not coming back My most recent appointment was the final straw. My nails were uneven, poorly shaped, and not drill filed correctly at all. The top of the nails were uneven, and my natural nail underneath was no longer attached correctly. I initially wanted to do a blue French tip again, but they were so bad that I said never mind. He took off the blue, but as you can still see, there is blue polish left behind. The sides of the acrylic are uneven and bumpy. I had to get the entire set taken off immediately after because of how bad they looked. I was refunded for the nails themselves, but I was still charged for the take off, which made no sense considering they were not even properly soaked off. They were ripped off. While my nails were being ripped off with nail clippers, I was told that I need to say something if I feel uncomfortable during my appointment, as if I am the problem or somehow responsible for teaching the nail tech how to properly structure acrylics. They kept telling me that the color looked the way it did because the acrylic was old and turning yellow, even though I never once said the color itself was the issue. The issue was the structure, filing, shaping, and the fact that my natural nail underneath was no longer attached correctly. She kept saying she could reshape them, but reshaping was only part of the problem. Also, the fact that my natural nail was no longer attached correctly to the acrylic should have been where the tech guided me toward what actually needed to be done instead of just continuing to put polish over it and moving forward with the service. Another time, I got gel polish on my toes and the polish ended up bubbling and leaking polish. Another visit, I got blue French tips and the blue lines were not even or done correctly at all, and the shape of the nails was completely wild. Then another set I got was pink with chrome, and the way the acrylic was laid made my nail beds look extremely wide and completely flooded my cuticles. As you can see in the attached photos, everything I am describing is visually there. Linda was the reason I continued coming here for years, but ever since she left, I genuinely have not had one good experience. Pedicures are OK / good based on who you get as a tech, but the wait times are atrocious even with an appointment. Last three times I've waited 30-45 minutes. Acrylic / manicures are the same, can be OK depending on who you get as a tech so if you have someone you like make sure you only see them! read more

No matter how busy they are , you get seen promptly. It's a nice touch that they offer beverages even wine during your visit at no extra charge Ive been coming for years and anytime I have gone somewhere else with a friend no place has matched their spa pedicure it is the absolute best!! They do fantastic services for nails as well I usually do gel or dip on my natural nails and am always pleased! I've liked all employees I've encountered but have made nail appts with Cindy she's really great! read more

Last time I got a full set here I had a great experience. But this time I got a full set and it was a horrible experience. The acrylic burned my nails when under the light (which is not normal) and the nail tech continuously burned me with the drill and drilled my skin. When she painted my nails she got paint all over my finger each time and then would wipe the sides with a paper towel. It was like she had never painted a nail in her life. The last time I was there I went to a different nail tech so I guess it just matters who you go to there for good service. Don't bother to make an appointment because they will take you late and then all they do is talk to each other not paying attention to your nails. The owner is rude! I tried this shop out since it was close to work and I had a good experience. The nail tech was gentle and did not nick or cut me, she did a pretty nice job on my SNS (dip powder) manicure. Used to come here very often and they were my go to salon. Recently, my sister was visiting from Miami and they acted in such a way I have never seen before. They were very rude and presented us as thought we didn't know what we were talking about. After being told to sit down and wait, they jumped at us and asked why we didn't pick a color yet. Even one of their customers were rolling their eyes at us and getting involved in our conversation. This prompted us to not feel welcome and leave. I recently went back to this nail salon. I called for an appointment and was told they weren't taking any at that time since the salon was empty. I went over and every chair for both Manicure and pedi were filled. The owner told me it would be about 10 minutes. I told here I had called and was informed they weren't taking any appointments since they were empty. Her response was I don't know who you spoke to. All of a sudden someone was available. They wrapped my hands then said I would have to wait at least 10 minutes for a pedicure. I was already there for 15. When I said that's why I had wanted the appointment I was told well your nails are wrapped. Going to this nail shop is like going to a nail SPA!! It is a state of the art shop for sure. I have been using Helena for my services there for about 1 1/2 years. She is the most amazing nail technician ever! I love the way my nails look . ( and I am very picky) she also does a fabulous job on my eyebrows. The shop itself is beautiful and very clean. I've been going here almost 2 years now. I really liked the place and up until now have always had a really positive experience. Recently though things have changed. I feel like they want to rush you through the process as quickly as possible even when there isn't a long wait. The customer service has been lacking. With that being said they do have reasonable pricing. My nails don't break and they have a very large selection of colors and various different application options. They also offer a frequent customer discount like most salons in this area if you have your card signed. One thing that does concern me though is during a pedicure I noticed they did have a disposable kit for pushing cuticles and filing but they had other tools which they used that they pulled out of a drawer like nail clippers etc that I can't be certain were sanitized between uses. I'm certain they were not because when she finished using the tool she slid it back into the drawer and closed it instead of placing it aside in a basket or something like that. The salon appears clean the staff can be a bit pushy and of corse they try to upsell you on services. With all that being said it is one of the best salons in the bensalem area. Prices online are totally not accurate vs when you go to the salon... I've only been to the salon a couple of times I thought the prices weren't too bad from the ones that were on their website. when I went it was totally different when they charged me and a couple times before it's never had the TV on that shows the prices of the services. Recently went waited 45 minutes I'm patient don't mind waiting. Was there to get a regular manicure thought it was $12 it turns out it was really $20 and the lady did not tell me that they were going to charge me extra for removing polish that I had on one hand that i was there last time for an, the old gel manicure. Like how was I supposed to know when there's no prices listed anywhere in the shop. I also brought my own nail polish and she was complaining that it was very light in the shade so she had to do three coats instead of 2, of the polish. Also was saying I'm wasting my money by not getting a gel mani, because reg polish doesn't last as long, when I didn't want to get gel because it makes my nails brittle and thin, I just wanted to take a break from getting it. Also she left me numerous times to answer phone and take other customers charges, schedule appts, and monitoring the sign in sheet. This is my second home nail salon. I really wish i could do like a 3 1/2 star but I will round up in this case. I work in bensalem so I go here every so often for fills. It's pretty conveniently located across from the neshaminy mall in a shopping center. The staff is very friendly and they always do a nice job. The prices are good and they have a nice selection of colors. I had one somewhat negative experience here on a Friday afternoon around 3:00 as I didn't make an appointment and was told 15 mins which turned into more like 45 so I got lunch and waited. I try to avoid going Fridays now. As with many nail salons they always ask if you want gel, tell you it's better- I always explain it doesn't really last longer for me and my nails grow fast and I don't want to pay the extra, but I wish they would remember me and stop asking every time. Other than that, the place does a great job and I will continue to give them my business when I'm in the area. read more

I don't normally go to a different nail salon but this day I did because the salon that I normally go to was closed. This place says on the door $20 for gel manicure they charged me $25, not only that but every sparkle color I picked they didn't have. Then when I found what I liked, the guy kept saying no... So I was getting so frustrated cause all I wanted was something simple and he was making it uncomfortable. Then he filed my nails crooked... Was weird. Then when it came time to pay I gave the guy $100 bill, and he marked it then went to speak with someone else about my $100 bill, then came back I asked if everything was ok he said yes just making sure it's not fake! This is my go to nail shop and has been for almost 10 years now. The shop is clean and the family that runs it is friendly and courteous. They do a great job with gel and regular polish. Well I always go here because they give the most awesome pedis!! I also get my mani's there always by the same woman who I won't name since it's difficult enough to get an appt with her... I love it there... but she's been away so I went to Nick who did his own thing on my "Queen Bee" nail designs, and he said I'd get many compliments... well it's been 2 days, and I've never had so many compliments especially from guys!!! I've been a customer here for 10 years. I've been to many other nail salons in Bensalem and Philadelphia. Nail Shop V has consistently given me outstanding service and that's why I won't go anywhere else. The prices are in line with other nail salons and the owners and staff always aim to please. The staff has been there as long as I've been going there, if not longer, and it's nice to have that person that knows you well every time you go in. They are all very experienced and do a great job.
