Do not waste your time. Read the other bad review. We made an appointment for a tour and there was no one here when we showed up.

The building's thoughtful design really sets the tone for a meaningful visit. They've done an outstanding job sharing the layered stories of the Battle of Gettysburg--why it happened, how it unfolded, and its lasting impact on our nation. Their storytelling truly honors the sacrifices made, weaving history into every exhibit. Staff were exceptionally helpful and knowledgeable. The interactive displays were a highlight--my kids especially loved the miniature cannon where they could "pull the trigger," and the realistic cannon shells you could actually lift to feel their weight. Super engaging! And please, Don't skip the Cyclorama. This massive 360° painting weighs a staggering 8 tons--4 tons of canvas and 4 tons of paint--and it's presented so vividly you feel like you're standing there in the middle of the battlefield. In short, the Gettysburg Museum and Visitor Center delivers history with clarity, compassion, and creativity. A truly unforgettable visit -- 5 stars all the way!

The gentleman I asked acted in a way that my 13 year old commented on how he cam across. He had no info! You are the visitors center! At least the one we spoke to could come across a little better and maybe they should have some info on what is going on around Gettysburg for the 250th!

Staff were fun, easy to engage and made all participants feel welcomed and comfortable no matter their riding experience. As a solo party they made me feel welcomed and included. The horses were wonderfully well behaved. The tour guide was knowledgeable and easy to engage. The tour guide informed us that this is a female owned business and is highly ethical. They have many horses so they never have to use the same ones each day. Would definitely recommend and will be returning I'm sure!

The pros: The staff is awesome. They get 6 stars. They did a great job explaining safety and how to handle the horse. This is extremely helpful for those with no riding experience. They provide helmets and a radio receiver with an earbud to listen to some canned recording explaining some background of personnel, battles, and music. You get to ride right next to some historic buildings and farmhouses that you wouldn't be able to on a road or bus tour. The cons: Unless you get a certified guide, they are not allowed to narrate the history of the battle as you ride along the trail. We did not have a guide along with our group for the ride so it was fairly quiet most of the ride. Unless you are very well versed with the locations of the army units and battle locations, the ride might be a bit confusing. If you can tie this into the end of a visit to Gettysburg with the museum, film, bus or car tour, then it will be a blast.
