My daughter has been attending Kids Academy since 2017 and my son since 2020, and it feels like a…read moresecond home for them. Many of the teachers who were there when my now five-year-old started as a baby are still there now taking care of my three-year-old. They did a great job keeping everyone safe during the pandemic and managed to close for only two and a half months. It has all the convenience of a corporate daycare center, but has a tight-knit family vibe, which is nice. Probably the biggest con is that they don't provide lunch, so we have to pack their lunches every day. They do provide breakfast and an afternoon snack, though. You can tell the teachers genuinely love and care for the kids. My daughter had some behavioral issues when she was three, and they were so patient with her and worked with her and us to get her through it, which I really appreciate. My daughter will be going there a few days a week this summer, and they have fun field trips planned three days a week for the school-aged kids. Next year will be my son's last year there full-time, and I'm genuinely bummed about it!

Another huge plus for me is their hours! Being that they close at 630PM, it allows plenty of time after work to run any type of errand I need to before picking her up. The teachers are hands on and communication is fantastic. We get pictures and updates throughout the day and every time I would walk in the door I was greeted with a smile. They remember you and build a great relationship with your child. The preparation our daughter received at Medina Goddard for grade school allowed us to send her to Kindergarten with confidence and most importantly she was a confident 4 year old ready for kindergarten. The facility was clean, the classrooms are nice and again, the STAFF WAS AWESOME. She had a tough start, but the teachers were patient and kind and helped her adjust. It wasn't very long before she would light up when she saw them. It was my first experience with daycare as well and everyone was very supportive, answering any questions I had, making recommendations for my daughter based on what they had seen and their experience; it really helped to calm my anxiety. I have always felt that she is safe and well cared for there. She has grown immensely in her time there and I truly believe it is because of the effort of the teachers. We get weekly lesson plans and daily updates of what they're doing and how it contributes to her growth. We had our first parent teacher conference and the teacher showed up prepared with observations and opportunities for my daughter. You can tell they care about the kids and their growth. Let me tell you that our daughter learned so much from the wonderful teachers. Everyday she shares something new she has learned. It feels like a true family. It is so easy every day dropping her off at school. I genuinely trust every single teacher and director. They communicate throughout the day and I love that I know she is learning, happy and safe. Ashley goes over and beyond with the Pre-K kids. She truly has a heart of gold. She cares for the children and you can see that teaching is her passion. Lee and Mady are so helpful and are always there to answer questions. Jess really holds the fort down! She is so great with the children and communicating with parents. I completed a tour and was impressed with cleanliness of the facility. I was told at the time that there was only one slot available and to secure it I was to pay the $75 application fee. I went home right away and paid. This was back in December of 2021.I received an email stating my kiddo was approved. I was so excited for her to start. Well today is January 27th and my emails have been ignored. My calls not returned by Sarah, the Director. But of course somehow they were able to getting around to charging me $560 for services never received. My little one has never stepped foot in their facility. My apologies for the lengthy review but I just had make it known that I would never recommend a company who takes care of children and feels it is professional to take someone's money then them more money for services not rendered.

There have been oftentimes classrooms are over ratio to state guidelines. When it comes to communication among teachers, it's not quite there. It has become common to hear "I don't know" when asking a question in regards to my child's day. There have been times I have seen teachers not paying attention to kids whether it's taking over the fence while kids are on the playground and their back is turned to them or being on their phone. There was a time I came to drop off diapers and all the teachers were just sitting in chairs. Not one single of the new teachers and assistant director ever bothered to introduce themselves and I can guarantee don't know my name as a parent. Incident reports no longer go home. My child got hit and had a bloody nose and no one bothered to call or send home an incident report but rather just updated in the app. After having a sit-down, the owner and assistant director were not very welcoming in bringing up concerns so not all concerns were brought up. It's very much a "can do no wrong attitude" even when my daughter came home with fingerprint marks on her leg that looked like it had been from holding too tight during diaper changes. Upon leaving, I could overhear them gossiping about me as a parent when they thought the door was shut. It's not the first time though that concerns got brushed under the rug. Sasha has been the only asset to this company and we have appreciated all that she has done. I have attached pictures of the fingerprints, the bite mark from when my daughter came home with (I had to tell them it looked like a bite mark for them to even look at the cameras because they weren't watching and didn't see it happen), a teacher on her phone, as well as the threats. *Since posting our review on google I have received quite the message about being sued for posting our experience which should indicate how well parental feedback is taken.

This place has really went downhill. We used to love this place and loved the staff but as time…read morecontinued and our kid continued to grow we noticed that it was difficult to keep this place staffed. Sometimes they would staff the young kids rooms with fresh faces without enough training to provide parents the lesson plans they have for their children. So the kids would be left roaming free doing whatever they wanted. There would be times that the kids were finally calm and was learning how to self regulate their emotions and then a new teacher comes in and changes the atmosphere. And sometimes they would assign teachers who gag when it comes to potty training kids which sets some kids back because they are thinking that they are doing something wrong with the reaction that teacher is giving. There is no consistency with these teachers and they keep rotating all the teachers around which causes chaos. There hasn't been any more lesson plans given to the parents because the teachers never know which class they will be in. There has been times where I would come in early to pick up my child, only to hear the tablet speakers blasting and the children staring at the tablet and watching DannyGo. There are other times where I would come in and hang out with my kid a bit in the morning and smell the strong odor of marijuana on a teacher as she walks in to start her day. They aren't always consistent to checking in your kids into the classroom so you can look on the app and see how their day is going by either looking at the posts from the teachers or logging into the live video feed but only if they are checked in by the teachers. They are very adamant when it comes to parents checking in their children but aren't when it comes to teachers checking in their children. Overall, we used to love this place and loved the staff that were meant to teach. There are still some people there from when our kid started and we love them, but we can see that them being short staff is effecting them. These teachers play such a huge roll in these children's lives so it's important to keep them happy and honest. When I talk to another parent they were noticing a difference in the teachers' attitudes as well. So seeing some of these teachers' patience running thin shows that they need some extra training because kids will be kids and they need guidance. We also didn't appreciate when the the director Richelle took 9 days to respond to us about some concerns we had when it came to them being short staffed and causing us issues because they were not able to care for our child. Child care is expensive enough so waiting 9 days for a statement to be corrected only to get charged a late fee in the process while waiting is ridiculous. Really wish Ashley was the director because she is always prompt with responses and she is so caring and respected amongst all of her peers and children. The children all love her and listen to her. She knows how to handle difficult situations and how to properly de-escalate any issue with both adults and children. Hoping this place gets better in the near future for the children.

The teacher she has right now, Ms. Stephanie (Glenn) is absolutely amazing. Few teachers have the patience and dedication that she has. I am so happy with her experience!
