Saturday we arrived at Stop n Store to load a rented truck w furniture, drive 9 hours to St Louis Univ, move our son in and fly back Tues. Stop n Store was closed! NO NOTICE given to customers...NO RETURN PHONE-CALLS...NO HELP! We carried every piece of furniture over 150 yards from our unit to the truck parked in driveway for 2 1/2 hours !!! COMPLETELY UNACCEPTABLE!! NO CUSTOMER SERVICE!! (Ps. Mouse droppings on sofa)

My only expectation was that my possessions would come out of the unit in the same condition that they were placed in the unit. Much of my furniture including 2 couches was destroyed! It was chewed up by mice and covered in mouse feces. I found 2 dead mice in the unit. There was never any food etc stored in my unit. I complained to the manager. He said they were not responsible and they would put out more rodent poison. I tried to file a claim with the storage insurance which Stop N Stor conveniently adds the cost to the monthly bill. I believe that cost is mandatory. The insurance does not cover rodent damage. Basically I'm screwed with uncompensated property damages and they say no one is responsible. I think they should change the rental agreement to place in big bold print at the top of the contract that your possessions can and probably will be damaged by rodents! Many people may reconsider storing their valuables there if you saw the condition of my couch.

This place was great for my kids who have fun imaginations and no fear when it comes to art and painting. There was a table set up with small sized easels and canvases and each child picked the colors they wanted. They were free to paint whatever their heart desired and Bev would help with suggestions to make their art dreams come true. While the paint dries the children are taken into a side room where they can have pizza, cake, ice cream, and present opening before taking their masterpieces home. The grown up version went a little different, with appetizers and drinks first to loosen us up first before we ventured into the other room to paint. For my party we painted wine glasses. The freedom to paint anything was great for kids but not us adults who fear messing up and know our complete lack in artistic ability. Most of us turned to the internet for ideas. Bev was there to offer suggestions and encouragement as we painted. While it was nice to see all the different outcomes, I need step by step instruction to make art less intense and more enjoyable.

Do you find yourself asking "is it the weekend yet"? If you have answered yes to one or more of these, you are way overdue for a girls' night out. The first thing that comes to mind is dinner, drinks, and dancing, but let's face it--a night out on the town can be expensive. You don't have to spend a fortune to have fun. Just get creative when planning a fun, affordable experience with friends by challenging them to try something new and interesting. Here's an inexpensive idea that my friends and I tried that won't break the bank: Brush And A Bottle Paint Night. With a glass of wine in one hand and a paintbrush in the other, could you imagine a better way to unwind? Trashed Studio offers an all-inclusive three-hour instructor-led painting class with all supplies (sans the wine) provided for just $30! Local artist Bev Elliott will challenge you and your group of 6 to 12 friends to get creative in this step-by-step demonstration through the painting process. For those of you who have never picked up a paint brush, the ever-so-patient Bev is right by your side, ready to offer individualized tips and style suggestions. Her passion for painting is contagious, and you'll find yourself channeling your inner Monet--shocked by the hidden artists that you and your friends have become. I must admit that I was slightly hesitant about the evening since I'm far from a modern day artist. With Bev's guidance and acrylic paint, I quickly discovered my artistic abilities. I personally found acrylic paint to be very forgiving, easy to use, and any mistakes can be painted over (even when dry!) I enjoyed the night out with my friends, and getting to come home with my own piece of art was an awesome added bonus. The relaxing atmosphere of this cozy art studio is filled with laughter and good vibes from the moment your paint-filled brush hits the canvas, making that stressful work week you've had seem less overwhelming. I highly recommend Trashed Studio: Brush and a Bottle class for first time and/or experienced painters. For any event (girls' night, birthday, family get-together or work outing), plan your next paint party with Bev and be sure to check out other services Trashed Studio offers!  **As a disclaimer (let's not get confused by my writing style), this is not an advertisement, nor do I work for Trashed Studios. When I find something I love I give my honest opinion, and I never recommend products that I don't use or enjoy. Sincerelybs.com

My mom and grandmother were in town for my birthday and it was finally the right opportunity for a celebratory meal at Edwins. We dined in the brasserie, where the menu is classic French bistro cuisine and the service is accurate and attentive. Across our party of four, we sampled from across the menu: the shrimp cocktail, soup du jour (potato leek), and mixed green salad were soon followed by steak frites, roasted salmon, and shrimp scampi. Everything we had was well-executed and flavorful. We followed with dessert, splitting a creme brulee and bananas foster across the table. To accompany the meal, each of us got a glass of wine or cocktail. I was pleased to see the retro revival cocktails - you don't see a Japanese Slipper on too many menus, and I found it well balanced and refreshing. What a wonderful experience, and serving a wonderful mission.

We had a reservation so were seated immediately. I got the chicken paillard and creme brulee. The food was a good portion and taste overall. I would love to come back when in town.

The center is kept very clean and is structurally safe and sound. There are playgrounds outside that the children regularly play in- the teachers also take the children to the local parks to play. They offer a wide variety of activities for the children and provide care in a kind manner. My child had a wonderful experience at St. Peter's Child Care Center and I would highly recommend this daycare to anyone looking for quality care. It was truly enriching to her and I did not feel as if I was burdening anyone with the task of providing her stimulating and high quality education and care. The teachers are incredibly nice and welcoming and they made her feel very comfortable outside of her regular home environment. The center regularly hosts very nice activities to for the families of the children attending the center. It is obvious that they put a lot of thought and effort into what they do. St. Peter's is an excellent option for a childcare provider and I am glad to have found such a quality provider in Lakewood.
