I was recently referred to this office for my migraines that 3 other neurologists have neglected to identify whey i get these headaches. well finally after coming to The Neuron Clinic and seeing Dr Pham and her team i finally have been getting the help i need with proper treatment. THANK YOU Dr Pham. from the warm welcoming of the staff at the front Briselda and the other small girl were so nice, ensured my insurance was correct as the info they had wasnt correct, the medical assistant with the broken foot that helped me, i knew i was in good hands as her mature attitude and warm welcoming felt like i knew her. despite one of their employees being in a cast she still was so nice, her colleagues at one point made sure she was ok and i thought wow what a great team there is here at this office. i would definitely recommend this clinic if you need migraine treatments. -Charly M read more

I came to the Neuron clinic with concerns of losing consciousness, severe neck pain, and losing feeling in my limbs. I have a family history of degenerative diseases and brought this up to my first doctor, Alise Pham, who was very helpful and quickly got me set up with imaging. For my follow-up visit however, with Ross Mandeville, I was told that my imaging was completely normal and that i likely had an overactive vasovagal response and to consult a psychiatrist. less than a month later, I was in the ER with a brain aneurysm and cervical stenosis, bulging discs, and foraminal stenosis, all but the aneurysm were listed on my original imaging from Alise Pham. I now have mobility issues in my hands and suffered multiple blackout episodes where i hit my head due to these issues; I'm very sad that my experience went this way, Alise was once again very helpful and caring and listened to my concerns. read more

Pro: Drs Con: For the most part, everything else! I have been a patient here now under the care of (2) drs with one specialist who is more dedicated to the field of study for my condition. The drs attention to detail and care are as a professionals should be. The rest of the team.... I've had issues with Referral Specialist, Medication, Prior Approvals, Supervisors, and such... I was told recently that this company is "centralized". Meaning each office does not do the paperwork or the behind the scenes work. It is a centralized hub that performs all these functions. This differs from what I was originally told. Upon speaking with a supervisor at my last appointment where I shared my concerns with the team. I was spoke to by a supervisor from a different location who was there training. I was told I would get a call back same day but did not. I can't recommend The Nueron Clinic, unless you're ready to make calls and confirm things are moving on your own. This last few months have me rethinking if I want to continue with this headache. read more

Beautiful building and office space. Counter staff was very kind. We were pleasantly surprised to see a familiar face calling us back!! Nurse Cheryl worked at a the senior living facility where family is lives. So, We knew we were in good hands from the start. Dr. Silver was amazing and asked questions to learn more about his new dementia patient. It was heartwarming and appreciated that as a Doctor, he took the time to recognize and appreciate the support we provide to our family member. The wait to get seen at the Neron clinic is crazy backed up for months. What helped me is to be flexible to travel and requesting being on a wait list for sooner appointments and calling or email them at infoneuronclinic.com to see if they have any openings due to cancellations. This process worked for me. They were very accommodating and friendly to call and will get in touch with you with in 24 hours if not by the end of the day. My first visit the patient intake process was easy. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. I arrived 40 minutes ahead of time to fill out the necessary paperwork and I believe you can also fill this out online. The clinic today was not super busy but steady. Anna the nurse practitioner was very lovely. I felt she heard me out and she made sure she understood by asking questions. She was very informative and I can tell she cares about her patients. She has a warm and kind spirit that made you feel welcomed to open up. Judy was the front desk staff who kind as well explaining follow up and assisted me to set up that up to avoid being scheduled extended months out. The type of care I received so far has been beyond my expectations considering the reviews which had me worried a little. I don't like to dismiss people's feeling so I wanted to address it. I know a lot people are being seen with various things like headaches etc here that makes them physically not feel good and often irritation is taken out on the staff. As a fellow nurse I have seen this too often and know that when a patient doesn't feel good it doesn't take much to get on their bad side. I can however say as a patient "at this" location I feel that the staff has been kind and I would recommend coming here if you're having other issues at the other locations. I had by far my worst medical experience at this location with Julia McKeehan NP. I was originally given an appointment with her for an EEG directed by my primary care doctor. She was extremely unprofessional and almost condescending. The first visit I ended up getting up and walking out of. Came back and had the EGG with a different practitioner. Followed up with Julia again recently. I was questioned about my personal life completely off topic of my EEG and given false information I had to correct her on. This woman should not be in this line of work. I had to cut her off from her intrusive questioning to remind her I was there for my results and had nothing more to say to her. I highly recommend asking to work with a different neurologist if you have to be at this location. read more

If I could give zero stars, I would. I was referred to the Neuron Clinic over 3 years ago when my neuropathy was so bad that I could barely walk without losing my balance and falling. I could barely use my arms and hands as well making driving and cooking out of my reach. I still have neuropathy but it is much better. I was working with Dr. Farhidvash but her availibility has decreased significantly since. I asked to be moved under the care of another neurologist and after waiting a month for approval, I was scheduled a couple months later only to be met by a nurse practitioner who assists Dr. F. She informed me that my neuropathy wasn't in their records. Disappointing. Disheartening. I got a referral from my primary care for another neurologist because the Neuron Clinic is terrible. read more

My rating is FFFF!!! Somehow your clinic approached me. I never contacted you when I was searching for a Neurologist, to treat RLS and Neuropathy, but I went ahead with your clinic. Instead of being given to a Neurologist I was given to a Nurse Practitioner ( Anna Gela Bert??) who tested me and found me with beginning Alzheimer's, which shocked my family. True that I'm 87 and that I'm becoming forgetful, but the test she gave me included math questions (I'm sure you know the one and Math was my worst subject in school.) I also KNOW that I've got my head screwed on straight!!!! Noone questions my ability to think and carry on with my daily life. I live alone in a 3 br house and the only help I need is with driving. This NP soon took over my prescriptions and sent them to an unknown Drugstore. Again---Wrong! I'm 87 and no longer drive, so I have my prescriptions sent thru CVS Caremark. But she never asked. I'm done with your Clinic, which seams to be failing! By the way, I'm saving my review, in case you don't use it. I'm not responsible for any charges which I didn't approve! I came here to understand why im having seizures or seizure-like severe tremors when I get sick, and im back to square one with no answers. I know all the doctors here tried their best, and i appreciate them, but i got no answers. This is the US medical system and western medicine. I visited The Neuron Clinic, and while the neurologist PA I saw was very kind; however, my overall experience with the clinic has been terrible. I suffer from migraines and have been waiting for months for the clinic to contact me regarding my treatment. After multiple attempts, I (the PATIENT) had to coordinate a three-way call with my insurance provider and the clinic's Botox Coordinator. During the call, the insurance representative confirmed that my treatment had been approved as it should have been, with the correct number of units required. However, after the call, I had to reach out to the clinic seven times, leaving multiple voicemails without receiving a single response. When I finally managed to speak with the Botox Coordinator, she claimed that--despite the insurance company's confirmation--my treatment had not been approved. I later discovered that my insurance authorization case had been closed by the clinic's Botox Coordinator without notifying me. Even more frustrating, the clinic continues to insist that my treatment was denied, yet they have no paperwork or documentation from the insurance company to support this claim--only their vague internal notes. To make matters worse, I spoke with a "gentleman" from the clinic who mocked me for calling seven times. Why did I call seven times? Maybe because they never called me back! Unbelievable. This clinic has demonstrated a complete lack of care, professionalism, and respect for patients' medical conditions and time. I do NOT recommend this clinic. read more

I was in a car accident and was referred to them to get TBI screening for my primary doctor. Yuan Xing was my doctor. She was 45 mins late and spent less than 10 mins with me, refused to give me the TBI screening that i told her my primary doctor wanted. She didn't even ask about previous head injuries. She seemed rushed even though my appointment was supposed to be a 45 min appointment with the doctor. The quality of care is horrible and I would not recommend if you want to get some actual help. read more

Helped greatly with foot and leg pain. I went to THE OTHER neurology group a few times and received no (zero) treatment. Also THE OTHER cancelled out appointments on me repeatedly. Separately, my medical group Scripps cannot hire anyone for physical neurologist nearer than San Diego City. For myself there have been no long waits or cancellations here at The Neuron Clinic. HORRIBLE! Was referred by my child PCP, referral was placed & sent in. I called to f/up on the appt request & was told after a week of waiting that they take 7-10 days to review referrals. Called back two weeks after & then was given an appt this week. Got a text NOT a call this week saying that they don't take our insurance & it was out of network. informed them I would pay cash as my child has to be seen (my child had a concussion back in February and had issues since w/light sensitivit, constant headaches). Was given cash pay payment of $300. Then on the day of the appt was notified the appt is canceled. Called them up right away & was informed that the NP he was to see is out sick. Understandable everyone gets ill & there are callouts, but then to offer an appointment months out instead of within weeks is unacceptable of the canceled appt. Had issues with this group from the beginning never recommending them ever & will let PCP know how horrible they are & NOT offer them as an alternative. read more

Dr. Merick is great physician. I have been going there for over 2 years and the other Providers along with the staff are very professional and kind. The only thing that I do not like is the phone tree. It takes a bit to long to get through to the office but if you leave a message, they are good about returning calls. I don't like to post negative reviews, however, this place has no consideration for their patients time. I requested personal leave from work to go to my appoitment. I was told to be there 15 minutes ahead of my appoitment which was 2:30pm. I checked in at 2:15pm and after sitting and waiting for 30 minutes, I asked the front desk receptionist if the doctor was running late and she told me it would be another 45 minutes. This appoitment was booked 3 months in advance and the same thing happen on my previous appoitment to this place. They don't consider you deserve to know how long they are running late so you can adjust yours schedule. read more

This place does not even deserve a one star rating. This is a toxic environment and the people who work at this place are awful and unkind. Do not ever encounter a meeting with Ana Carron-Gelabert. This woman should not even be in the medical field. She's so harassing and unkind. She threatened me and she is not a nice person. The receptionist at the front desk were on their cell phones and were very rude. One of them took out their personal cell phone and took pictures of my ID cards, saying that there's an app on their phone for this medical facility, I was shocked and embarrassed that I was mistreated so badly by these people do not ever come to this place to get treatment you will regret it and you will be traumatized. I came to my appointment 15 minutes early and they still saw me at a late time. If I would've showed up late, they would've rescheduled my appointment. This was a referral from my doctor and I wish I never stepped into this office. If you were harassed by these people file a complaint with human services or contact an attorney, know your rights and know that you should be treated with dignity and respect when you see a doctor. This woman was a nurse practitioner, and I thought she was an MD talking to her was like talking to a stranger on the street. She was so unprofessional when my insurance tried to contact them they never answered any of their emails or their phone calls until it got serious. I have experience at two other clinics I recommend Oculus Brain Center and Kaizen Brain Center! I would even recommend The Neurology Center, UCSD BEFORE they ever consider this clinic, or Dr. Kevin McGehrin. I was optimistic about the clinic based on their website and claimed specialties. I discussed my situation for needing to establish new care after my insurance was no longer viable with my current neurological clinic. Despite a clear record of 2 years the verbiage and treatment used during my appointment was passive, dismissive, and definitely NOT specialised for Brain Injury medicine, Nuerodegenerative disorders, memory/ cognitive disorders. It was about a computerized 20 questions and not what the patient was expression or accessing a patients record to understand the best treatment plan. Refused referral, refused to prescribe current treatment even to taper off if did not agree with treatment. The front desks were misleading with both confirming that the care could be provided, that I could get a emergency appointment to be prescribed my medication while my primary care covered my current perscriptions until my appointment. I left in shock. I have never had such an experience, despite a clear RECENT record since my injury. I am heart broken after waiting for a month under this belief. It also felt terrible to experience such a bed side manner being that THIS IS A PLACE THAT CLAIMS TO BE ABLE TO DEAL WITH MEMORY AND COGNITIVE DISORDERS. That means under neuroscience a doctor would understand how to concentrate on his patient and not his computer. I think it takes time to become a well established physician and not someone young based on ego. Labels and diagnosis can have comorbilities. It's beneficial to access the entire picture of a patient and examine previous medical records and clinical notes. I ask please to avoid this clinic and do not risk waiting a month or longer. Do not trust the lazy responses by the operators about a general referral being sufficient, the quick and lazy charting, the repetitive questions in both paper work and their online chart, and them verbaly repeating them. This is not individualized care. I have never come to lengths to have to report a situation to my insurance, and also write a review. It's important to have others know THIS IS NOT A PLACE TO TAKE YOURSELF, OR YOUR LOVED ONES. It does not matter the length of your record or tests, or your experience. Please avoid this place there is bette replace to heal. I really wanted to give this place a try after being impressed with what they offered or claimed to offer on their website. read more
