The Yelp reviews are why I contacted this office in the first place. The main reason I did not go with this firm is that a consultation for 30 minutes would cost $99. I am seeking legal help because of debt so I would think that at the minimum, consultation would be free because most if not all of the clientele are seeking help for financial troubles. So just from that consultation fee, I surmised that the cost would be too high for me. It might end up costing me more than my initial debt. I could be wrong but I was not quoted any other fees as I requested. For all I know, the rates could be very reasonable but that is not the impression I got. Update: I increased the rating to 4 stars because Jesse Langel contacted me directly to address my concerns and advise me. I applaud his concern over customer relations and his thoughtfulness in reaching out to me and helping me as much as he could and his promise to continue to advise me if needed. My debt is not very large so the cost effectiveness of hiring Jesse is, unfortunately, probably not in the cards. This is why I can't in good conscience give 5 stars since I won't be able to see his work but I got to see some of his integrity. I do recommend that if you have a need for an attorney, Jesse Langel has at the very least demonstrated that he cares and will be there for you. The developer ignored our requests to fix these leaks and even filed for bankruptcy, all the while forming a new LLC to avoid litigation. Our building board hired Adam Leitman Bailey to pressure the developer into negotiating repairs. We paid $50,000 for these services. They drafted a letter that requested a meeting, which did not elicit a response. They then asked the entire building to contact our local city councilman, on our own, and also promised they would contact Letitia James. A month later, we secured support from our councilman, by ourselves, but the firm said they would not contact Letitia James. They also declined to help us after they said it wouldn't be worth filing a suit. In short, we paid 50K to do something we could have done by ourselves, and got a letter and a false promise in return. Stay away from this firm. *Adam Leitman Bailey is sending out threatening letters to anyone who files a bad review here. There used to be more negative reviews until they threatened to sue everyone.
