We initially had problems related to the freon, and later there were issues with the motor in the unit itself. While mechanical equipment will inevitably have problems from time to time, Toce worked tirelessly to make sure everything was addressed properly and that our AC was running as it should. Living in Clearwater, Florida, reliable air conditioning is incredibly important, especially during the intense heat, and Toce consistently made us feel supported and taken care of throughout the process. His responsiveness, professionalism, and dedication to helping residents truly stood out. We really appreciate all of his hard work." Mathew: Matthew from the maintenance team has been absolutely fantastic in helping us troubleshoot and repair our AC unit issues. He was always available, responsive, and committed to making sure we were taken care of. One moment in particular really stood out to us. Our AC stopped working after hours on a Saturday night, and with the Clearwater heat, the apartment was quickly becoming uncomfortable. We called the leasing office and left a message, honestly wondering what the chances were that someone would actually come out that late on a weekend. About 20 minutes later, Matthew arrived with a smile on his face and immediately got to work troubleshooting the issue -- even going up to the roof to investigate the system. He was able to get the AC running again temporarily so we could get through the weekend comfortably, but what impressed us even more was that he didn't stop there. Matthew later came back to perform a deeper inspection to identify the root cause of the issue. It turned out the evaporator coil needed a thorough deep cleaning, which was causing the breaker to trip. After he completed the cleaning, the AC has been running amazingly well ever since. Problems can happen with any mechanical system, but Matthew was relentless in making sure we felt supported and taken care of every step of the way. WARNING! I am a previous resident and here is my experience. When your lease is over there will be many surprise move out charges. June-July 6th almost $800 that I did not anticipate. My lease was over and I moved on July 6, today is July 29th and I've received a surprise move out charge this morning for $418 along with not receiving my security deposit. Every time you pay rent you WILL be charged an $8 convenience fee for using the online pay option, HOWEVER that's the only way to pay for utilities/rent/trash/sewage, do anticipate an extra $8 charge for every transaction. The complex WILL charge you $5 for every light bulb that's out, they do not cover light bulbs along with multiple cleaning fees, carpet cleaning fees, and a trash bill that's nearly $200 (for my 6 days of living in the complex this July). When I left my apartment everything was clean, not a single stain was on my carpets or floors. However there have been many residents moving out and now that the numbers are lower the complex has become greedy. Overall with money aside, it's is a nice complex located in downtown Clearwater. Be prepared to see and experience many Scientologists around the complex/area. The maintenance was wonderful and the management was good in early 2025, however after the previous AMAZING manager resigned and since April 2025 the management has been lacking. The gym and pool are both awesome and it's typically a very quiet area (Scientology hub). If you're willing to pay a lot of surprise charges, this is the place to be! read more

UPDATE!!! MY amazing move to Florida was cut short with the management change in 2023. I was sick for over a year. I thought it was allergies until I realize I was doing fine when I traveled but at home I stayed sick. After discovering my apartment had mold in the apartment exterior wall. I brought to the manager she suggested that Florida has mold even in my 3 luxury cars. Then lead to say that she can't help me .. she suggested that I move. The experience from speaking others wasn't unusual. Location is great. When moving here be prepared to be sick. Health update since moving. Have not had allergies, headaches, nausea is gone. The manager had threatened me with a law suit regarding my emails so I had to remove her name (melody). Hard to get a response from them and if you ask to speak with their higher up they ignore you completely. It is a nightmare living here and we're promised parking before signing papers and told them it is a big concern of our from looking at their parking and they lied saying we wouldn't have any issue but we do. My boyfriend and I have to park far either at the very front entrance of the apartments when our apartment is the very back entrance and walk to it or when there are spots in front of the park we have to park there and walk to our building. I've reached out several times regarding this and other things and they do not care. They asked if we wanted to be where construction was to get a lower rent before we signed and we said no and yet they have construction right outside our window and blocking off half of the parking lot making it even more difficult to find those few far parking spots. On top of that we haven't been able to use our ice from the built in ice maker in the freezer because when we moved in there were maggot eggs in there and we're never cleaned out. They let us move in with a bunch of bugs in the place and dirty bathtub and countertops and floors that we had to clean. There is also no regular towing as they promise and when you call the tow company they tell you to call the office. There is obviously no communication going on with the two of them as the tow company thinks it's over 24 hours for vehicles who are non residence to be towed and the office says they told the tow company to tow right away. From the very beginning this place has been a nightmare. From move in to now 8 months later to move out. I would give the property 0 stars if it was an option To start when we moved in the place was dirty human and dog hair everywhere and stains in the bathroom etc. when trying to reach out and get any help after move in it was almost impossible. I've had 15 maybe more emails ignored by the property manager. It was all great and perfect before move in and now after it's basically "good luck" Second for the first 6 months we moved in the neighbors above us were always loud, not just a party loud or anything like that. Just aggressively wake you up out of your sleep type loud which the office told me was "normal apartment noise and they can't do anything" ALSO Cindy then decided to tell me that I'm too loud sometimes also when before hand and before raising this issue no one had told me or let me know... and then after following up 20-30 times maybe more about the neighbors majority of my emails were ignored over the 6 month period. When I finally got a reply the response and their solution was they were moving out in 30 days so deal with it. 3rd neighbors move in below us almost right after those moved out. It's a couple who screams and argues with a baby who would just scream and cry while they argue to the point you could hear it inside outside first to third floor loud. The office again did nothing although cops showed up almost nightly till they got evicted 2 months after moving in. 4th I went to pay my rent this month for September and the site wouldn't let me on.. I was told either bring a check down or it looks like the site should be back up (response was later in the day this time) By the time I got home from work which is late, the site still would not let me on. I communicated this to the office to still not get a reply for 2 or 3 days and then when I finally get a reply it stated that since I didn't pay it or bring a check by when I was told it was fixed that I had to pay the 100 dollar late fee... I wasn't not trying to pay rent on time YOUR SITE WASNT WORKING and now THE NOLEN is screwing me out of 100 dollars and if you ask for a corporate number or regional person number they won't respond to your emails or help you. This apartment does not care about its residents. Do not let the niceness before hand fool you, after you move in they do not care and won't help you if you have issues. read more

The office staff's only job is to sell you on renting here. Once you sign the lease agreement they do not care about you or your interests. They work here because they receive 30% off of their rent. That is their only incentive for this job. I rented because the complex is "The Nolen LUXURY Apartments". There is no luxury. The staff does not treat you as such and the units are not anywh near it. The building is 5 years old and there is constant construction to fix a poorly built building because the utilities are not to code. If a light bulb burns out you are responsible for it. If a battery burns out in the smoke detector you are responsible for it. They do not take care of you. When we moved in there were maggots in the fridge and freezer and I was not believed and I was told it would be "taken care of in a couple of days". The floors were filthy and so was the bathroom. A poorly managed building with bandaid fixes. But don't worry they have bingo! read more

The Nolen is great! I lived here for nearly a year. I stayed in a furnished apartment which was very comfortable. I felt safe walking around the complex when coming in at night. There are large parking areas so there is always parking available. The property management team Jessie, David, and the handyman crew are beyond helpful. They are dealing with 100's of units yet make you feel like your needs are special and unique. I have no idea how they do it. Very competent staff. The whole complex is clean and lawns well manicured. The pool area is beautiful with foliage and kept spotless. The Nolen is on the side of the street which is safer relative to other areas. I would come here again in a heartbeat! Please keep my apartment ready! Haha! read more

I was literally going to move out until Cindy took over managing the property a few weeks ago but she's awesome! They just added two electric car charging stations and the insides of the apartments are nice. I had rent payment disputes and issues and backlogged requests prior to that. She even helped me with a few requests after hours and for once it seems someone really cares about her tenants and the property. I don't go to any of them but I see posters up all the time for community get togethers and events and so forth. Maintenance guy is fast and accommodating in response to requests. They are pet friendly and have doggy poop stations around. You definitely can't leave your pets poop laying around. One complaint is hallways sometimes smell but I know it's just one or two tenants and they would weed them out if the culprit could be identified. It may be a coincidence but since Cindy came in I noticed the elevators and lobby seem to be a bit better kept. Walls are definitely thin-ish. They do have a parcel pending system that notifies you by text message of packages. Pool is nice and they have a firepit. Can't smoke at all on the property. (No smoking even on balconies) Not drug, party or cigarette friendly. read more

I've lived in the Nolen over a year now and have had absolutely zero issues. The apartments are immaculate and even the one bedroom is as spacious as a two. The maintenance people and staff at the front office are always friendly and helpful. I've read some of the reviews below and I'm not sure if it was just previous staff or what, but I've never had an issue here with staff, cleanliness levels, or response times from staff up front. I look forward to moving back to the Nolen after I handle some out of state business. One of my favorite parts of the Nolen was how close it is to Clearwater beach (10 minutes) and the pool area. I pretty much used the pool almost every weekend and loved it. The pool even has grill and fire pit areas. I would absolutely recommend this apartment complex to anyone looking. Whatever staff was here 2-4 years ago is not the staff I've dealt with here. 10/10 recommend. read more

I moved in in March and my dryer has not work since he day I moved in. Sitting puddles of water in my dryer constantly. Can't dry my clothes or else if I leave them in there for more than 30 minutes, they're soaking wet again with a horrible smell. Been contacting the office about this for about 7 months and they say they'll "fix" it but I've given them 7 months to fix it and I'm paying full rent. If looks could kill.... I love the decor and the layout of the apartment. And the gym is amazing, but that's it. The place looks great, but there's a chance you could be killed. Last month I called 911 because of an attempted murder that happened right outside the main entrance to Building C (on the property, in broad daylight). Note: This was not first time I had to call 911 because of an incident here. Building Construction: 1 - 10 Comfort: 0 - 10 Noise: 0 - 10 Bugs: 5 - 10 Safety: 0 - 10 Appliances 2 - 10 Repair Service: 1 - 10 Property Upkeep: 1 - 10 Management Staff: 1 - 10 Building Construction: Window leaks, warped walls, floors, very loud appliances, broken doors, and thin walls. Noise: Screaming kids in the hallway, main entry and apt doors are unadjusted and slam shut non-stop, stomping on the stairs, dogs constantly barking, and inconsiderate neighbors stomping around, slamming things, loud TVs, etc. It sounds like my neighbor above building a picnic tables everyday. Bugs: I've only seen a few cockroaches, but got lots of ants Safety: Gates are still not working, main entry doors do not always close, pass-codes are not changed after criminal activity, non-residents showing up out of nowhere to use the pool. Appliances: water gets into the dryer somehow, the washer peaks ~100db (louder than a lawnmower), my microwave needs to be rebooted all the time, and the dishwasher and fridge are very loud when they run. Repair service: unfriendly, leaves notes saying "seems fine," doesn't complete the repair, subtly displaces blame on resident. Property upkeep: overgrown grass, cigarette butts in the hallway, all over the property, dog piss stains in the hallway, and dog shit on the sidewalk. Smells like dog piss near all main doors. Management Staff: most are very friendly, some really care, but those who can do something about your problem give you a fake smile, make promises, and don't return your emails and requests for help. I've offered a solution to every single problem, and offered to help implement, yet none were taken. three stars???don't see how thats possible... Anyway, we've been having so many issues with our upstairs neighbor since we moved in 7months ago. I have to complain about them constantly to our leasing office because our upstairs neighbor is especially loud during quiet hours I had called the office recently to ask if our neighbor was moving because we heard furniture moving three days in a row (non stop not to mention) and didn't want to complain if the loud moving furniture was because they were leaving. the man in the office responded with "don't you think this is ridiculous", "you've complained quite a few times and there's nothing else we can do as the neighbor wants to file harassment charges against you as it is". Basically a big F you "it's an apartment it's gonna be loud" yes this is what he told me. not only do I have to deal with inconsiderate upstairs neighbor but now even the leasing office is against us because "what else do you want us to do" was their response! WHAT THE ACTUAL HELL!!! we now are in the process of talking to lawyers because there are still 101 million more issues with this complex that we have now taken action into our own hands because we can't even depend on the complex anymore for . Please please please don't move here i wish I believed the reviews before moving and I gave them the benefit of the doubt but everything is true. I inquired about an apartment here in April 2021 and created a profile on the company website. Two days later I got a notification that I was approved for the apartment without even applying and that my credit had been checked WITHOUT MY APPROVAL! I tried calling and emailing the office to get it straightened out but never heard anything. I then asked some friends in the area about the place and found no that when the building was under construction there was a hurricane which soaked the frame and the continued building without letting it dry so there is black mold everywhere. I absolutely LOVE Living here. I moved in 2 months ago, and I have enjoyed every minute of it. We'll start with staff: the leasing staff is phenomenal. Megan and her team are professional, friendly, knew me by name almost immediately and are always willing to bend over backwards to help in anyway they can. On move-in day, I realized that the apartment I picked was not going to work as it was a handicapped unit, and I did not realize that- the staff helped me change it and I didn't have to change my move-in day, I just switched to a different unit, super easy and they were totally understanding. This was my oversight, not theirs, but they were more then willing to help me and went out of their way to get me into my perfect place. Per the other reviews, it is true we did have a shooting in the parking lot in July of 2018. I witnessed it, and it was scary. Look- this happens, nothing the apartments or community has to do with it. Bad people are bad people, period. When this happened, I emailed Megan, the property manager (it was after hours, at 8PM), and she was here within 15 minutes working with police, and even called me to make sure myself and my niece were ok. The staff went above and beyond to assist everyone who came to them during this scary situation. Moving on, we'll talk amenities. Awesome pool area, huge gym and fabulous resident lounge. I use the gym every day and everything is always spotless and clean (not easy to do). Residents: literally, the nicest people I have ever lived with. Everyone I have met have been friendly and easy to talk to. I couldn't believe it, on move-in day, my neighbors came and welcomed me to the community. It feels like HOME here. Maintenance: My bathroom door did not close all the way, and one of my cabinet fronts came loose, they were here the next day and fixed everything. Bugs: I have read the reviews, and yes, we live in Florida, we get bugs. If you report it to the leasing office, Massey bug control comes to your door within 48 hours to get rid of them. Palmetto bugs (not roaches) are normal, so are ants... but the staff handles these issues quickly and efficiently. I did not have an issue with bugs, but my neighbor did complain of ants, and they are completely gone once she reported it to the office. Lastly, we'll talk about my apartment: the kitchen is gorgeous, and the layout is super spacious. I have the one bedroom "socialite", and though only 750 square feet, it feels much larger. I opted to live on the top floor as I don't want to deal with neighbors above me. I don't care what apartment community you live in, if you have a neighbor above you, you will hear them. That said, I cannot hear my next door neighbors, like, at all. I love the floors, they are super easy to clean, and I also love all the upgraded features! I absolutely LOVE my apartment, the community and the staff here. I give it an 11 out of 10. read more

Relocated at last minute from Texas and wanted live near Clearwater Beach, This is the best location and its downtown.. 2 minutes from teh beach. I contacted Cindi(Manager) and she was awesome working with me while still in Texas. Came to visit and she suggested I catch the water ferry to the beach to get to the beach. BEST ADVICE!!!! The apartment is awesome. Its so modern and spacious. I was able to setup everything while online.. Every question I had, either Cindi or Jesse was able to assist me. For a man who has lost his Grand Mother, Mother, and only Sister. These ladies has really made this move less mentally stressful than it could have been. the apartment rating 10 being the highest: Location 10 Amenities 10 Apartment 10 Staff 12 of 10 Staff Communication with tenants 10 this is the perfect place for someone who wants city living while being less than 2 miles from the beach not just any the one of the top 5 beaches in the country.. I have been very happy living here. I have to say, the entire maintenance staff are outstanding! I am wheelchair bound, and Chad and Matthew fixed a drainage grate outside the front door, that was very bumpy to get over in my chair. They fixed this within 2 days of starting. They didn't have to be asked and a service request wasn't done. They saw a problem and took care of it. Whenever Chad or Matthew see me, they always ask me how I'm doing and if there's anything they can help me with. Dan is the painter. I put in a service request to have some drywall patched, where I hit it with my chair. He fixed that area and touched up the rest of the apartment! I was so surprised and impressed! I just uprooted my entire life and moved across the country to be underwhelmed. I chose the place sight unseen due to time constraints, plus the place is brand new. I blame myself for not visiting first. However.... this is what I've learned in 2 months. 1. The Nolen is noisy. I can hear my neighbors playing their music or when they have people over. Others in the building think it's a frat house and are running through the halls and banging on doors at 3am. 2. The Nolen is not clean. I had my first roach last night. The common areas of the buildings are never vacuumed. My friend, who doesn't live here, mentioned how gross the stairwells (that are covered in dog hair) were. It's been there for at least a month and a half of the 2 months that I've been here. 3. The Nolen was constructed poorly. I live on the 3rd floor and both my windows have or are leaking. One has water coming in so bad that the baseboards are stained. 3/5 stars? It could be worse, right? read more

We have had a great experience since we called to inquire about the property and apartment. We signed a lease without seeing the property as we were coming from out of state. We are renting a 2 bedroom apartment and the floor plan is set up really well. It seems more spacious than 1057sq. ft. The modern look is sleek and comfy. We had a few issues but nothing major when we moved in. For example, one of the sinks would not drain but Victor promptly fixed the issue. My only complaint about The cleanliness was/is the cleaning crew did not do the best job vacuuming the carpets. I still find clumps of hair from the previous renter in the carpet. My suggestion would be to get the carpets deep cleaned after renters move out and new ones move in. While we have been in the apartment Meghan, Cindy, and Victor have had a sense of urgency if there was a work order needed. Meghan and Cindy truly care about our needs and are enjoyable to see around the property. When we first moved down here Meghan gave us several suggestions for restaurants and kid friendly activities. The staff really is welcoming and makes you feel at home. I find the property to be beautiful, welcoming and comfortable. The gym is amazing! They have everything imaginable from free weights to cardio machines to a yoga room, spin bike, and turf plus more. It's nice to save $ and not have a gym membership. The pool is great as well and it's a fun environment on the weekends with other residents. The location of the Nolen is ideal as it's in walking distance to several restaurants and the best grocery store I've ever been to. They have a pond/lake out back that we utilize often; I run while my kids scooter around. The facility is dog friendly with all breeds and for what I've seen people who own the dogs clean up after themselves. We've never had an issue with people being loud but we also have the understanding that we are in an apartment complex and everyone's schedules are different and there is a wide range of ages. Ages ranging from 20's through their 50's. I will be honest and say there was an incident about a month ago that happened on property but the management staff acted immediately and took care of the person/people involved and they no longer live at The Nolen. For safety reasons I wouldn't mind some cameras on property but overall feel safe at the Nolen. The management staff is open to suggestions, making changes, and making things luxurious at the complex. Meghan and Cindy have always taken the time to answer any questions or concerns we have had or attended to any issues that may arise so I thank them for always having an open ear. read more

The Nolen is a great little community with an amazing staff. I cannot begin to say enough great things about the property manager, Megan. I am pretty shy and my boyfriend deals with many leasing office interactions, but regardless Megan treats us both like we are family. Megan has done everything in her power to help us over the years, even before the complex was open. Though the staff and owners have changed since we moved here, Megan has been a constant source of kindness and support to us whenever we need her! HORRIBLE experience! 1. Cockroaches are an issue. I found one in my sweet dog's food and of course several other times and I have a very clean home! They only have pest control when you ask for it. 2. Not a safe place to live. A human trafficker was a arrested and a guy was shot in the face in the 3 months since I've lived here. 3. Management takes little to no responsibility for anything. They created a new website due to a change in companies and when the autopay in the system glitched, it made my rent late. Megan suggested (in her typical bitchy way) that I check to see if it comes out of my account (which it doesn't show until after the 5th when it's already late, even though the Nolen shows I have paid). Also I use autopay to ensure I pay on time because I do forget things. 4. Poor communication on things being implemented on the property such as gates and discontinued use of the key pad to the buildings. They have no back up plan or instructions on what to do if these things don't work I don't recommend AT ALL. The only 2 people who puts their selves in your shoes and actually cares are Kim and Cindy. Cindy however has kind of made me mad by jumping to conclusions from time to time, but she's okay in my book. Megan needs to go 100%. She's going to run the place in the ground and can't keep up. The neighbors are nice and most of their dogs are very tamed and they do make this a better than crappy experience but it still sucks nonetheless. read more

She was very kind and despite the fact that I wasn't for sure I was moving she still took the time to show me the two floor plans I was interested in. She was very knowledgeable about the area and she sold me on the spot. I have to say I was quite indecisive because I haven't lived in an apartment in over 15 years, I had no idea if I wanted a 1 or a 2 bedroom, and wasn't sure of my move-in date. With the help of the other lady in the office (sorry don't remember her name but she is always there!), I was able to finally nail down the perfect unit.
