I had an impacted wisdom tooth that I had been ignoring for far too long, and when the pain finally got too much I called the Coast Dental - Morrow office to see if I could get in that day. They couldn't get me in, but referred me to the Stone Mountain office which had openings the next day and had the rotating oral surgeon in residence. When I got to the Stone Mountain office, I was really nervous about the price, as I didn't have health insurance. Not only did the dental assistant quote me prices, but she explained what each procedure was and why it was necessary. Then, she had me do the necessary xray first to be sure I needed the oral surgeon to take out the tooth rather than a dentist, because the oral surgeon costs more. Lastly, I can't say enough positive things about the oral surgeon, Dr. Harrison. She explained exactly what was going to happen to me, and then patiently explained it again when my mother came in asking questions. She explained before the surgery how I was to take care of it, and then retpeated it and wrote it down after she finished too. Throughout the surgery she verbally walked me through the steps she was taking, asking me how I was doing several times, and at one point stopped the procedure to give me more anesthesia when I looked to be in too much pain. I can't speak for the other Coast Dental locations, but the Stone Mountain location is doing everything right.

You'd think this would be important information to tell patients before booking them, especially when confirming a specific day. This kind of disorganization is beyond frustrating.
