On another review site, someone mentioned that the receptionist at the front desk is extremely rude and has apparently been there for 30 years. They actually went to the dental office physically and stated that they wouldn't be returning because of her attitude. While I'm sure that Dr Jernigan is a good dentist based on the glaringly positive reviews that I have seen for him on a variety of sites, his awful receptionist is driving people away from him. The doctor who does the wisdom teeth extraction is a third party doctor, and while the procedure was quick and easy, the after care instructions were not clearly written. I was told NOT to contact North Decatur Dentistry with questions or issues, and to instead call the doctor who performed the extraction. But the paperwork had no phone number for that doctor. Sometime later I received a bill in the mail for over double what I initially paid. When I inquired with NDD, they told me they misinterpreted my insurance coverage and that's what I owe. It was a very frustrating experience, and I don't recommend it.

That's not something you expect when you're sitting through a dental treatment like this, and it made the whole experience feel really unprofessional. Dr. Fuller seemed unsure of what she was doing, even though she kept insisting everything was going well. But after sitting there for hours with no real progress or completion, it was hard to believe that. From my perspective, things clearly weren't going smoothly. They also continue to insist that a social security number is required for insurance payment when our insurance company confirms this is not true - our new dentist had no issues with finding coverage without it. I understand insurance reimbursement amounts are not great, however, this is just wrong. Choose a different dentist for care. My family did.
