When I called to schedule my initial appointment the receptionist Kiara was very pleasant and highly efficient at her job. She sent me the new patient forms right away and upon arrival, all I had to do was provide my insurance and ID. I literally waited 5 minutes to be called to the back. My hygienist Kim, was amazing! She was attentive, personable, professional and kind. She did a great job of explaining everything to me as it was happening. I also think its very clever how they have televisions placed in the ceiling...I've never seen that before. The technology they used was so cutting-edge, I hate that I been missing out on them all this time but if things continue at this rate, they certainly have a lifer. Lastly my dentist, Jonathan I think was his name, fell in line with the rest of the experience. He also was professional, friendly and had a great energy about himself. This place has it together!

The dentist seemed rushed and didn't take the time to explain my treatment options clearly. In order to get the x-rays and time with the dentist that are ordinarily part of a standard preventative dental exam, two appointments are required. This is a revenue-driven corporate model that costs the customer much more of a time and money commitment. Of course, this two-appointment model could also be driven by staffing shortages. No matter, if you prefer one co-pay per cleaning and preventative exam, you might consider a more traditional dental practice.

She let him sit on my lap for the cleaning and went out of her way for him--letting him pick the flavor of toothpaste, raising a lowering the chair like a ride, using some of the tools on his hand, searching through boxes to get him his favorite color toothbrush. He did have a cavity and they were able to fill it right then and there. The dentist was very kind while I was berating myself for not taking better care of my kid's teeth, assuring me that even his own kids had cavities. The cost was reasonable, under $300 for the cleaning, exam, and filling. All in all, it was a very positive experience, and I think the best thing about it is that my child isn't afraid of the dentist.

I have seen him for all my 6 month cleanings & exams since then. He doesn't push unnecessary filings or expensive deep cleaning treatments like the other dentist I have seen. He is a good, honest dentist that isn't just trying to as much money out of you (and your insurance company) as possible. He seems to be in-network for most insurance plans, so I cannot comment on how inexpensive or expensive he is. Heidi is my favorite hygienist in his office, and she is always makes my appointments more enjoyable. However, she does try to talk to me while she's got sharp objects or the polishing tool in my mouth :-) I have always enjoyed going to the dentist, and Dr. Gabriel and his staff is as much like what I remember when I was a kid in a small town as I think I'm going to get in Atlanta. I thought I'd take a minute to review after a great appointment I had yesterday. Long is the hygienist who has cleaned my teeth all these years; he's so kind and wonderful! Yesterday, I pointed out to Dr. Schaeffer something cosmetic I didn't like about my teeth, and he took the extra time to fix it on the spot, and it made such a huge difference to me.
