You place your order at the bar and it's delivered to your table once it's ready. The lady working at the bar was very nice and helpful. Although the cafe was pretty busy we didn't have to wait long for our order to arrive. They offer a nice selection of sandwiches and sides. The soup of the day was pepperoni pizza soup...didn't give that one a try but it sounded intriguing. The bread used to make the sandwiches was better than most restaurants and the quality of the food was excellent. They have regular events with live performances each week inside the theater. The use of the space, which I remember visiting when it was an antiques shop 'back in the day', was well used and the patio area quite niece. Recently I was down to help clean out my childhood home and the last day of my visit overlapped with Merle's first day open for the weekend. I decided to swing by and am so glad that I did! It reminded me of a great shop I used to visit frequently in Greensboro which is no longer in business. What a thrill to find a local shop run by ladies with a great eye for design and quality. I purchased several items which they carefully packaged for me and held them while I continued to shop other businesses in the area. I ended up with 2 large bags that would have been awkward to carry. When I was ready to leave town I stopped by and picked up my purchases. They also have a few additional items on the second floor that have significant mark downs. I'm excited to have found this great shop and plan to be a regular customer as they carry several designer lines I have not seen in this market. Definitely worth a visit.
