If I could give zero stars, I would. I left my massage with discomfort as soon as I walked out, but I never expected that discomfort to turn out to be multiple painful scratches across my back. I didn't realize what had happened until I got home. A massage should leave you feeling relaxed, not injured. This experience was unacceptable and painful. I would like a full refund, as I paid for a massage to help me feel better--not to leave with scratches across my back. I hope the business pays closer attention to nail length and technique so this doesn't happen to anyone else. read more

Worst massage of my life!! I requested a deep tissue massage with a focus on my calves. What I was getting was the most dainty, soft massage of my life. Most good massage therapist will check in with you to see if the pressure is sufficient. However this one, never asked once. Finally I spoke up and said she could go much more firmer. She replied she was working up to that. I explained that she had already moved onto to other body parts. I waited again for her to check in with me, but she never did. I lay there getting more and more frustrated as she poked and light rubbed her hands on me. She put very little pressure on my back and my calves. Finally, I just ended the massage because I was so frustrated at how horrible this massage was going. She did nothing to resolve or correct the massage, even though I had requested it. Once I got to the counter they were still wanting to charge me. Finally they comped this partial experience. I am so disappointed. read more

I rated NOW highly several months ago but changed my mind. The website forces you to choose an add-on, when I did not need it. Also, the front desk gal persuaded me to become a member and said I could "cancel at any time." When my body healed, I told her to cancel my membership, BUT I had to email the owner to request PERMISSION to do so. I could not get out of my membership for 45 days + had to pay the regular non-member rate for remaining massages on my account. Misleading. Do not recommend. I absolutely love this place. The massages have always been wonderful and I absolutely love the ambience. The ocean sounds playing are very calming and realistic. I just immediately relax the moment inter theassage area. They just added an infared sauna which is a perfect end to a relaxing massage. read more

My whole experience was amazing from start to finish. When I walked in, I was greeted by an amazing space, as well as the nice girl in the front. She helped me with my forms and we had amazing conversation about the background of The NOW until my therapist Meagan came to get me. This was the best massage I've had to date. She truly addressed my concerns and educated me on how to take better care of my body. The atmosphere was so different, but beautiful and very relaxing. Just got done with the the most overpriced and underwhelming "massage" of my life. I am not even sure you can call it a massage to be completely honest. $200 later I somehow feel worse than I did when I walked in the door. The set up and ambiance is really amazing but then you quickly realize you can hear everything going on in the room next to you. Even with the overly loud water sounds blaring in the background. I absolutely won't be back between the feeling of being on top of the next room, the lack of an actual massage (even with paying extra for "deep tissue" ), and the price. Ok, so this place is new, and let me tell you, it's a great business, Jonny knows how to use his hands and stretch you out to relieve pain hrs incredible. The front office employees are also great some things you need to know though. Just like most massage places, they do not take FSA visa or master cards. You will need to pay for it and ask for reimbursement from your savings account. Also, this is a little different from most massage places in the states. The rooms are only divided by a curtain you can not see through but can hear the next area very easy so to limit that they have a peaceful ocean sound loop playing. The advantage is it's very relaxing. The disadvantage is that you can't really talk too loud to your masseuse, but you should be relaxing anyway, haha. I enjoyed my time at The Now Massage Dublin. I have tried Hand and Stone, Woodhouse Day Spa, and independent spas and I would say it is a huge rival to Hand and Stone. The atmosphere was very relaxing and well decorated. I also liked how during the massage you are listening to waves. I received the signature 80 minute massage. My masseuse did a decent job. When she found knots she focused on those areas as well as massaging the full body. She also rubbed my feet for no additional cost! I visited this location last Sunday. The receptionist was a sweetheart and very professional. My masseuse on the other hand was quite withdrawn and did not listen when I shared my areas of concern. I paid for an 80min massage with deep tissue enhancement. He spent more time on areas of least concern vs. the areas I specifically explained as pain points which is the reason I paid for the enhancement and more time. My final frustration with this experience was when I briefly opened my eyes after feeling a long pause and caught the masseuse scratching his beard and arms intensely. He then placed a liquid on his hands that I assumed was sanitizer, but later realized it was more oil and I was very uncomfortable to know he continued my massage without properly sanitizing.
