My massage was alright, the lady did well pressure wise but I felt like she kept pushing hard against my boney prominences rather than my muscles. I wasn't offered any time in the quiet room or a robe afterward, so imagine my surprise when my other 2 friends are in robes in the quiet room together after the massage. The staff is very attentive and guides you to the dressing room right when you arrive to get your robe and slippers. They have extended sizing for robes (up to 4X I believe) and I love the inclusivity! Their relaxation room is wonderful and has the BEST peppermint tea. The massage was my first and it was amazing. Very relaxing and I left feeling great. I have had a few facials before but this was by far the most luxurious. The esthetician was great and explained everything she was doing and provided recommendations without me feeling like she was "upselling" me. This is a nice place. Greeting upon arrival went well. We were asked if we wanted a drink before we got changed. By drink I mean soda or water. We were celebrating an Anniversary... it use to be a time they wound at least offer you Mimosas or a glass of champagne, guess they got cheap with that aspect. Nothing like that was offered for our couples massage. We both did a himyalan hot stone message. It was very relaxing. I especially love the hot stones on my skin. I was greeted by the staff at the desk, offered a complimentary beverage, and then the concierge took me up to the second floor where I met the upstairs concierge who provided my robe, sandals, and a locker. I got my mother a Balanced Body Massage for Christmas and we went for a spa day on Feb 24th. At checkout my mother was charged extra for her massage. When questioning at the front desk, the receptionist simply said that my mother requested deeper pressure, hence the additional charge for a deep tissue massage. I called the following day, hoping to talk to the manager about the unnecessary charge. It took me 5 phone calls throughout the following week to get no call back or response. So I ended up emailing on Friday 3/3 the general manager, Kelly Jacobs. I was shocked how she responded. She had any interest in rectifying the situation but instead, placed blame on the customer. It comes down to communication. I have never been charged for a service I didn't request. If a client wants deeper pressure then the therapist should say it is an additional add-on fee. If that were communicated as an upgrade, I know for certain my mother would not have opted for it, knowing the service was a Christmas gift. She simply thought the therapist was giving her the choice of firmer pressure. Rather than reassuring me how this will be a learning opportunity for the Woodhouse therapists to be clear with service upgrades and/or credit me the difference, they'd prefer to lose future business. This is certainly a place you go for a full experience, not just for the massage. I recommend heading there early so that you can start to relax before you even get to the massage room. When you walk in, you're escorted upstairs to the changing room, asked what complimentary beverage you would like (champagne, water, tea, etc.), and then given a quiet room where you relax with magazines and nice music until your massage. I will note that other couples will join you in your quiet room as you wait, it's not dedicated to just you. The Swedish couples massage was a lovely experience. The Woodhouse is a relaxing day spa right in the middle of old Dublin. I scheduled their spa classics package and I wasn't disappointed!! When I arrived I was escorted upstairs and given a robe and sandals to change into. I will say their bathroom/changing could use some upgrades. There was only one changing room and it was occupied so I had to change in a bathroom stall. After I had changed I was shown to the quiet room to fill out some paperwork and wait for my massage. Don't count on the quiet room actually being quiet... I seemed to be the only person there who wasn't part of a group so everyone was talking and eating rather loudly. It was so loud I didn't even hear them call my name when it was my turn. You're offered a choice of drinks while you wait, water, champagne, wine, mimosas and more. There's also small bowls of trail mix and other snacks you can help yourself to. First up was my Swedish massage. It was incredibly relaxing. I asked for a focus on my legs since I ran a marathon two weeks ago and he did a great job. I like how the massage starts and ends with a deep inhale of an essential oil mix. I then returned to the quiet room to wait for my next appointment, a signature organic facial. The facial itself was great, but I feel like she spent a lot of time massaging my shoulders and arms. It was nice don't get me wrong, but since I had just spent an hour in a massage it seemed a little redundant. For my final treatment I had a warm agave nectar pedicure. I like how all of the colors are laid out for you to flip through during your pedicure this way you don't spend forever trying to pick a color before you even get started. My toes turned out great! Overall I had a wonderful experience and I definitely want to go back to try another treatment, maybe a mud wrap. It would be so easy to make a day of this since there are several restaurants within walking distance of the spa. After a month of trying to call them, left messages for managers, talked to someone who said a manager would call, they never got back to me. I've been here for a couples massage and recently for a facial. For both services: greeted at the front desk and asked whether you would like a drink. They offered wine, champagne and mimosa. You can also ask for just juice. In the relaxation room (where you wait for the service) they also have coffee and tea as well as snacks. You go up the elevator after check in to the second floor where you're greeted by someone with your drink. They give you your size gown and show you to the changing room where you're given flip flop style sandals to change into. For both services, they recommend you take off your bra since they do neck and upper chest massage for the facial as well. You can also return to the relaxation room after your service if you would like. The couples massage: first massage ever so was a little nervous about it. The beds are heated and the blankets are thick which was probably my favorite part. They are very respectful in asking what pressure feels good. Facial: I did the deep cleanse facial with a Gua sha add on. On my goodness! Best facial EVER! Lisa, the facialist first wraps your feet in a hot towel (heaven) while she asks what your current skin regimen is. She doesn't talk a bunch during the service which I love and is very deliberate with her touch. She begins with a mini scalp and neck massage while the steamer in on you. Also while the mask is on your face, there is a hand and arm massage. The facial also includes a neck massage. The gua sha add on was very nice because the stone is heated and feels really lovely on the skin. I'm not sure I would get it again since there is a deep massage of the facial muscles as a part of the facial so I think a similar effect is already part of the service. Was given a certificate from a friend to have a Spa Day. Unfortunately, by the time I could use it, this particular service was no longer offered. The customer service was excellent in helping me choose an alternative service. I have never had a massage and was very nervous, but felt reassured and cared for. This would be a great place to treat a new bride or engaged couple, especially if they are new to this service. It also is wonderful for last minute gift cards. My husband took me here yesterday for a couples massage on my birthday. He scheduled me with a guy and he got a lady. I was a little uncomfortable having a guy since I thought his hands would not be very gentle. As Kevin said in the previous review, you do need to arrive 30 minutes early to fill out paperwork and sit in the relaxation room. They will serve you drinks so it's worth the wait. I got the mimosa and my husband got champagne. The robes were alright mine looked used and I've had better since I did a couples massage on my honeymoon and those were nice robes. I would have to say my honeymoon massage was a little better than yesterdays massage with the guy because I actually felt relaxed there than at the one I went to yesterday. Yesterday my massage guy started stretching my muscles out. If you know me, you know that I never stretch even before a workout. I've paid for it with an injury that I won't forget because this injury has stemmed out for many years. I had the most amazing first-time experience at the Woodhouse - Dublin yesterday. I'm 37 weeks pregnant and opted for the 80 minute mama-to-be massage. Upon arrival, I was greeted by a friendly receptionist, given new client paperwork and taken upstairs via elevator. From there you are directed to the locker room where you change into a robe and sandals. Lockers are provided. They also have any toiletries you may need, I forgot a hair tie so I was relieved when I saw those were offered as well. from the locker room, you are taken into the 'quiet room' where you can relax prior to your service. This room was lovely; dim lighting, multiple fireplaces, beverages and light snacks. From there, you wait until your masseuse arrives, I waited no longer than 10 minutes. Brandon, my therapist, was incredible. Being 37 weeks pregnant, I was quite uncomfortable at first. I voiced this and he was so accommodating. He suggested I turn to my side and provided multiple pillows to prop myself up. I felt like I was at home in bed, it relieved my discomfort right away and I was so relaxed. The massage itself was amazing, it was just what I needed and cannot thank him enough for making this mama-to-be feel so pampered and relieving the overall tension I've been feeling. After the massage, you are taken back to the quiet room where you are offered a beverage. You can stay as long as you like to unwind, no rush. I opted for a steam shower following my massage, again, they offer all toiletries you may need. When you're finally maxed out on zen (again, no rush) you are escorted back down the elevator. To top off the wonderful experience, they have quite the retail space, offering a ton of unique body products and candles. I needed to grab a gift for someone so this was perfect. I have been to Woodhouse Day Spa twice in the past month. The first time was with my husband for a duet massage. Because of coronavirus and the precautions the spa is taking to keep everyone safe, we had our massages in separate rooms. The second time I went alone and had a very similar experience. The massage itself and both masseuses were amazing! Woodhouse has done a fantastic job making the room into a tranquil and peaceful place. The facilities are also very clean. I took one star away for the lack of a full, high-end spa experience for the price. You literally go in, get your massage, and leave - no congregating in areas, no ability or time to relax and drink your tea/beverage. I completely understand why; however, paying $120 for a massage is extremely pricey for no frills. Because of this, I will be finding another more cost effective spa with the same massage quality. read more

I've been to a number of spas throughout Columbus and other areas I've lived. In all of the places I've tried, I have yet to find a massage therapist that I really liked AND would return to. A friend of mine recommended The Woodhouse Day Spa as she loved it her first time there, but wished she knew they allowed clients to stay as long as they wanted afterwards (and arrive pretty much as early as they want). We booked appointments for a Friday afternoon - a hot stone massage for me and a facial for her. I've never had a hot stone massage before and when I booked it, the receptionist assured me that if I didn't like it then I could certainly ask the masseuse to switch to a swedish massage. I was relieved to hear this as the hot stone massage was a little pricey... My friend and I met at the spa about 45 minutes early. The lobby area has a reception area and some product. The receptionist had another attendant come down to get us; she took us up to the 2nd floor via an elevator. We were provided robes and sandals and then taken to the changing room that included about 20 lockers, sinks, 2 toilets, an actual changing room and a walk-in shower. The bathrooms were uses as changing rooms as well... The changing room was stocked with mouthwash, q-tips, lotion, soap, etc. The attendant asked us what we would like to drink, we chose mimosa's. We went to the "quiet room" and the attendant was there with our drinks. We were able to relax for a few minutes prior to our appointments. I had JP as my masseuse and he was very cordial, professional, and the hot stone massage was amazing. The room was relaxing and the table seemed to be heated as well. I loved it and would get another one. After our 50 minutes of relaxation, he took me back to the "quiet room" and my friend and I stayed there, finished our mimosa's, and continued to relax for another 30+ minutes. I really enjoyed the experience! We didn't feel pressured to leave after the services were over. The entire staff were professional from check-in to the therapists. Our experience with the changing room was different from others. There was one locker where the key didn't work, but they did continuously clean the changing rooms and took out the hampers with used robes/sandals. Personally, I would highly recommend this spa, particularly the hot stone massage (and the mimosa's!). Although the spa is pricier than most places, it's well worth the costs. Just writing the review for the Pedicure experience. Its was nice & relaxing but the price is something I cant get over . It was $75 for a regular pedicure + tip. Even in the most luxurious hotels in Miami or New York you don't leave a spa for $90 just for pedicure (have to add that those luxurious hotel spas have great amenities like sauna, hot/cold room, pool etc and they typically have great ocean/city views and open fresh atmosphere as you go through the experience.) The treatment from staff is nice & professional where they make you feel like you are checked in to a five star spa and once you go upstairs there are robes and lockers as you change someone prepared you tea, champagne etc and then you get seated in this tiny dark room which seats 12 people and there were already 10 people when we walked in so you are toasted with all the robed friends as you wait for your relaxing treatment. Then we got picked up to go in to the pedicure room which was just a regular looking 4 chairs with bins (nothing special compared to my $40 pedicure spot). At the end they did a good job and hoping it lasts but its still not worth double what I pay in Columbus or more expensive than W or Westin kind of a hotel in big city. I am glad I gave it shot since everyone always talked about this place but I wouldn't do it again.. Also be aware they are super popular for weekends it was very hard to find a pedicure spot for me & my friend here so we ended up going at 10am. read more

I wound up arriving right on time. I notice​d that my massage did not last the full 50 minutes. I was a little annoyed but didn't think too much of it until I saw the same issue here on Yelp​. It seems to be general practice for the spa to cut services short and charge full price. If they need people to arrive a standard early time for services, then that is for what time the appointment should be. At the prices they charge and the luxury they're supposed to be offering, time management should be on them, not me. But I enjoyed what I did receive of my massage. read more

If I'm going to pay $200+ for an 80 minute neck/back/shoulder massage (w/ tip), then there's no way I should leave feeling like I was hardly even touched. Yet, that is exactly what happened. When scheduling the appt, I asked for the best, most experienced therapist due to the fact that I suffer from chronic migraines and neck pain. I made it very clear what my needs were. I've been getting massages regularly for well over a decade, so I know what a skilled massage therapist's hands feel like - on my neck and upper back in particular. This massage consisted of the therapist feeling around for trigger points, but never being quite able to grab and work them out. I'm 5'5 and 100 lbs, so it's not as if knots are difficult to detect on me. She was extremely friendly and pleasant to talk with, and she genuinely wanted to help me. However, she just wasn't capable. I believe she's a gifted massage therapist, but needs more experience and training to warrant the high prices. I don't mind paying top dollar, but I expect to get what I pay for. Bottom line: I've had massages of all types in practically every setting from high end spas to physical therapy offices, to privately owned massage studios, and in my own home. I've had almost every type of massage there is, and more than once. I've never before paid so much for a massage, and gotten so little benefit in return. IMO, Woodhouse is charging Ferrari prices for Ford quality. read more

We recently celebrated our wedding anniversary and decided to treat ourselves to a spa day. We each landed on a facial and a manicure. Both were very good. I've never had a facial, and Marissa was very good. I secretly not secretly wish I could have seen the crap she pulled out of my pores. Joann did my manicure--I love that she intuited when and when not to talk. Sometimes spa people talk a lot, and Joann did not. She did a great job with my hands. We have been going to Woodhouse for years for massages and holiday fun. This year the support staff really put a damper on our fun. The massages were wonderful but the staff that greeted us was not welcoming at all. They treated us like we were bothering them. And why give us mimosas downstairs and then take us to the bathroom and have us change? Where do you put your mimosa? On the bathroom floor? We always picked Woodhouse because of the awesome services and the welcoming staff. That is no longer the case. And the manager was just as bad when we tried to point out where things were lacking. Woodhouse is amazing! I loved it before my last visit, but grew more in love with it on my last visit. They specialize in pampering to the fullest. You start by walking in through two oversized wooden double doors and are immediately greeted with warm, calming aromas and two smiling women at the desk. They take your name an escort you into the elevator to begin your Woodhouse experience. Once you arrive on the floor they offer to lend a robe, even if you're only getting a manicure, so they can pamper to the level of the clients interest. They then offer a drink, water, coffee, or mimosa and lead you to the quiet room to relax before the service. The services are calming and well timed. I never get bored by being there for too long and its certainly not rushed. The staff here is very friendly and that is the biggest contributor to my repeated visits. I learned during my last visit that the owner is very hands on at the spa and visits almost daily. He or she is good to their employees and treats them well, in return the employees are magnificent to the client which keeps them coming back. This is the perfect spot for relaxation! read more

I LOVED my first experience at Woodhouse Day Spa! I get massages pretty frequently for general muscle pain in my back, but this was one of my favorite massages of all time! As other reviews have said, they are more expensive than many other massage therapists in town, but you're paying for the entire experience. Upon arrival I was promptly taken upstairs to a locker room & changing area where they offered me a mimosa, wine or water. I opted for water and it was delicious! I couldn't get enough and I'm not a very big water drinker, TBH. I had the back, neck & shoulder massage, which was great to see on their list of services! Most other spas and masseuse services I've been to don't offer such a specific massage. I usually opt for a Swedish or Deep Tissue massage but it never quite does the trick. They have you fill out paperwork prior to your massage and you can indicate how much pressure you'd prefer during the session. I like a VERY deep massage, and I've never had a masseuse that really took that seriously. Let me tell you, my masseuse was ON POINT!! He honestly did an incredible job and could identify the knots in my back and spent extra time on them. It was A-MAZ-ING. I can't say enough about how great this massage was. I got up from the massage feeling so refreshed and I was pain free for a week! (I often feel my muscles tighten back up later the same day!!) Their "quiet room" where they have you wait for your massage was very comfortable and I decided to hang out there after my massage just to relax and enjoy how great I felt. As icing on the cake, my masseuse sent a handwritten note to my home later that week. A very nice personal touch. If it weren't so expensive, I would be booking a massage weekly here.
