I'll start by saying that I don't have terribly high expectations of chain massage places, so my standards are already pretty low. A friendly greeting, a table warmer, a passable massage, and I'm pretty happy. Simple. So tell me why this spa decided to hire someone with all the warmth of barbed wire to be the face of their business? Jasmina is incredibly rude and unwelcoming. If I wanted to be treated with contempt by a place I give my money to, I'd skip the spa and book me a water boarding. Why do businesses still think it's ok to have rude people in customer service positions?! It's 2026. And no, I don't want a performative, canned response. I got a massage here today. I never knew about this place and I lived here for ages, but I guess it's new. It's a total vibe! From the receptionist to the setting, I felt like I was in Paradise. Super chill atmosphere ! My therapist did a fantastic job. I actually fell asleep, but it was very soothing and I was super tired, but I signed up for a membership so I'll be back maybe before my next massage. Really happy with my membership with The NOW. The reception team is great at helping guide who the best masseuse is for my needs. Corrie gives an excellent, relaxing but effective at working out soreness and knots kind of massage. For more significant aches and kinks, Josh was excellent. They both take no shortcuts and are focused on making sure their client is ok throughout the session. They work hard every minute of the session. FYI there is a country-wide benefit to being a member -- if you're traveling to another city where there is a studio, they will honor your membership discount and you can expect a very similar if not replicate experience. I visited now massage on the evening of August 26 2025. I was told that I would receive a special "first time " rate of 95.00. I proceeded with massage but was billed at a much higher rate. On 8/26 I called and was told only the manager could put through the credit. And it would take a day then on 8/29 I followed up and still no credit. Today is September 5 and I am now told I must reach out to the manager myself and was give her name as Dominque Franklin and a phone no of 908 300 5461 Apparently Ms Franklin is a very busy lady and cannot both herself with such trifles as customer service. Had to cancel same morning due to illness. They charged my credit card without telling me. Would not reverse the charge and staff was nasty and did nit want to hear anything. Do not go here because if u do not cancel within 48 hours you will be charged. Bad attitude and they do not realize that people in a small town talk. read more

Modern, boho chic massage spa. Picture: chunky rugs, rope/string artwork on the wall, and cowhide rugs. It looks like this place is only a few months old. Everything feels new and clean and smells fresh. The smell is strong when you walk in from the candles (if you have asthma or scent sensitivities this could bother you). I personally enjoyed the scent and found it relaxing. Front desk people were nice. I feel they are still learning the ropes because there were a bunch of hesitations and slip ups (especially over the phone when booking), but that's ok, they were still nice and got the correct info. There is a small waiting area where you check in with water, but then there is another small area you enter right before the "journey room". In this area the massage therapist asks about what are you looking for during the massage and the usual run down: any pain/recent injuries/allergies etc etc. Now, as mentioned, they call the massage a journey. They say "enjoy your journey". I know this is targeted at gen z and millennials, but I do think it's a tad bit cheesy, but that's okay I got behind the vibes. The journey room is lovely. Very tall ceilings with basket lighting at the top. Each room is divided by a thick curtain that is not see through. I appreciate how there is not a single slit/crack in the curtain and you cannot see into the next room - it is all very private. I also enjoyed the sounds. They do not play music, but instead fairly loud white noise/ocean waves/wind sounds. I highly enjoyed this and liked it more than typical spa music. This felt very tropical and as if I was in a little shack on the beach. You barely could hear sounds from the next spot over. Jean was simply the best. Polite, kind, and professional. Everything you want. I would 100% choose her again. I got lucky with my first time being there! The pricing is pretty fair - I would say middle range. Definitely some more expensive spas in the area as well as cheaper, but for the experience they are giving you I would say the price is reasonable. One caution I would give: the rugs in the journey room are thick and a bit slippery. I tripped slightly on one. I would be careful with these. read more

The Now was wonderful. Very relaxing environment (it's like we are in Tulum with the canvas tents and sounds of waves) and in both my experiences with Stacy and Senetra they can tell where I really needed work on without much explanation. They did ask prior to start and took care of any past injuries but with their magical hands they could tell exactly where I needed concentrated work. Love the promotion for the first visit had a $30 discount. It's a bright and welcoming entrance that leads to a relaxing environment. Vast amount of parking. Highly recommended. I visited this establishment with two other ladies for massages and ended up purchasing three gift cards, each worth $150.00. When I needed to change one of the names on the gift cards, I called and spoke with the general manager, Alex. To my surprise, she was incredibly rude and dismissive--one of the most unpleasant people I've ever encountered! In a customer-facing Manager position, it's essential to hire understanding and helpful staff, not someone who behaves like a bully.
