Upon arrival, I was greeted by his friendly staff then Dr Roczey took a few X-rays to look at what the issue was. He gave a thorough exam to find that it was a pinch nerve and adjusted my back. I don't know what I would if I had not found him because I am already feeling so much better. Dr. Roczey also gave me several exercises to do to help improve my posture. Much of the treatment seemed to be directed by physical therapy assistants who simply instructed patients to perform exercises from a printed sheet. The exercises were rarely explained in detail, and I was not given a clear understanding of why I was doing them or how they related to my recovery. Sessions often felt rushed and impersonal, with instructions such as, "Do this for five minutes, then move on to the next exercise." The physical therapist's involvement was generally limited to applying heat or providing a brief massage at the end of the session. As a patient dealing with multiple painful conditions, I expected more hands-on guidance, assessment, and communication throughout my treatment. I also attempted to express my concerns to Nicole, but I did not feel that my feedback was taken seriously. Rather than addressing my discomfort and lack of progress, the focus seemed to be on whether I planned to continue attending therapy. Everyone's experience may be different, but if you are looking for a physical therapy practice that provides personalized attention, detailed explanations, and close patient-provider interaction, this may not be the right fit.
