Booked what I thought was a couples massage on the website. Once there we were split up and I didn't get to enjoy the massage with my girlfriend. I was under the impression if we make an appointment together we would be together. Me and her were sad that we could not be together for the time of the massage. Would not come back here for a couples experience. It did feel a little unorganized, when I was there, there was atleast 5-6 people waiting for a massage. Once you got a masseuse you would enter the next room to discuss what parts you want worked on, its a small narrow room and about 4 customers were in the same room at once on top of whoever was going to massage them so 8-10 people total, it became cramped and echoey and we were all talking over each other and couldn't hear each other. Just bad timing? Then you enter a 'main room' where all the massages take place, your area is enclosed by basically sheets. So you cannot see who is getting a massage next to you but you can hear, so I feel like privacy was low. I feel like I couldn't say anything to my masseuse because I didn't want to disrupt anyone else's massage. I would suggest more or larger rugs for where we are getting a massage? Feels wrong to get a nice massage then get dressed and have to walk on concrete for a moment with your bare feet. But credit where credit is due I did enjoy the environment reminds me of a Hawaiian aesthetic. Staff was friendly and did not have any issue there. The massage I received was two thumbs up and felt good afterwards. I would recommend this place if you are by yourself, not a talker, just want to get a massage and leave. If you are looking for an experience with someone you're in a relationship with and want to be with each other during that experience you are not going to get it, I would look somewhere else. Super shady massage place. I went for a massage back in September. They coerced me into signing up for a package. I did, but as I suspected, I do not have the time to get here for monthly massages. I canceled the membership back in November & they are still charging me monthly. Just disputed it with my credit card company & reached out to them. Transported to a massage bed on the beaches of Cabo by way of The NOW. I'm blown away by how AMAZING this place is from the customer service down to the ambiance. They did not miss a beat. When I walked in I was greeted by Hannah with a warm smile and pure enthusiasm. It's true what they say, first impressions are everything. I can't believe she remembered me our conversation from the week before when I booked the appointment. I can barely remember what I had for lunch today. The next thing I noticed after walking in was the fresh smell of a candle burning and the breathtaking decor. You're immediately awed by the gorgeous rugs, basket weaved bulb lights, crystals, wooden sliding doors, and the hard-to-miss menu of services. When I was brought back for my massage my therapist Braeda she asked in the calmest of voices if I was ready for my journey which I thought was a cool touch and I almost shouted "ABSOLUTELY let's go!" Lol After walking through the door to your journey you're met with beautiful drawn curtains, candles, hanging lanterns and what I call bliss. The sound of ocean waves hitting rocks was majestic. I don't know if they have surround sound in the rooms but I'm here for it. If I hadn't known better I would've thought I could reach out and grab a wave. we shall see about the service, but I setup my online account, confined via text my appointment, and still got a call today explaining that I needed a name on file. when I called back to I provide my name the agent held me for a few more minutes confirming my number (which she called me on), I shared with the agent that I didn't have much more time to spend on the phone- which set her off as she started yelling at me that not all the online information transfers etc.. and then she abruptly slammed the phone down in my ear. My first experience at The Now was amazing! Love the simple, modern look to the place. I get a lot of massages, but Carrie has been the best masseuse I've had! I walked in feeling sore and tense, and walked out feeling loose and at ease. I asked for medium pressure and she delivered! I highly advise against going to this poor establishment. They operate this McDonalds like chain, like a bunch of college kids. They're not afraid to charge you for services they don't perform and it's overpriced for what you get. Would highly advise against going here, save your money. Additionally, the last massage I got here the service provider had the flu and got me sick. I was emailed by management the following week that one of the service providers had COVID. I work as a dental hygienist and therefore am in need of serious relief to help my posture and career longevity. I joined the massage ritual program on my first visit about a year ago and I am so grateful! It has lead me to taking better care of myself by slowing down. When you enter the lobby is bright and modern with a rustic Nordic vibe. The infused water is lovely and there are a variety of seating options. The massage area is a dimly lit space, a hallway with individual areas divided off by large pieces of thick canvas. The beds are heated and have lovely thick blankets to add a little weight. The "music" is the sound of waves crashing. It's very easy to get to a mindful place of relaxation. There are several add one you can have with your massage, balms for the massage, eye refresher, scalp treatment, and even Gua sha. I'm a fan of all though usually pick one. I have seen both Britney (who has an amazing vibe and such relaxing hands and technique) as well as Max (relaxation by getting the knots out). Two very different experiences though a body needs different things at different times. Some pros, I don't feel like I have to keep up small talk (it's a silent massage) I always know what the background noise is going to be (waves crashing), and by having a ritual membership I remember to take some time to be kind to my body. You can also let the months accrue, and even gift your massages to friends. I look forward to this every month and with two small children and a full time job I need that time to be taken care of, and they do it! read more

This business makes false claims about their billing and cancellation policy. They will not cancel your membership even if you give 30 days notice and they will claim in takes their "system" time to process your cancellation request which essentially will require you to pay for two additional billing cycles before they will actually process your request to cancel. Although their website/contract etc states they have a 30-day cancellation, they will not honor this unless you request to cancel your subscription the same day your auto payment is processed for that month. So, note that you have a ONE DAY WINDOW per month to cancel your subscription otherwise you will be billed for two additional billing cycles. Would not recommend a membership with this company unless you are aware going into it that you will have to deal with a huge hassle to cancel. Hopefully the new FTC click to cancel rule will help to eliminate what this business is trying to get away with. read more

I'll be honest, as someone who gets massages relatively frequently, this might have been the worst massage I've ever had. It started with the therapists greeting, her shirt was filled with stains. This really set the tone for the rest of the massage. She informed me that she had a medial issue and wasn't able to apply full pressure as a result. I should have stopped it there but I let it go. Once on the table, the therapist put on gloves, this took away from the experience 100%. Then the 1st half of the massage was her rubbing my upper and lower back with her forearm, not very relaxing. My bicep/triceps, quads and hamstrings weren't even touched. The massage was weird the whole time, I expected a lot more from this place and am walking away very disappointed. The worst client experience ever. Do not go here if you have any issues whatsoever with your back. I was in pain for 4 days afterwards. When I called to cancel I was asked to bring in doctors note. Excuse me? Bring a doctors note to whom? Then manager Trevor wrote a condensing email where he asked me why didn't I tell him sooner and asking me why didn't I complain about the pain there as he watched security cameras. You don't always feel pain at the time as your body is still warm from all the movement. I don't need to justify myself but I work in the city and honestly didn't have time to even call to cancel. Today I called because I have 3 weeks of billing cycle to cancel. All in all, I don't need this. This place is very poorly managed. Instead of apologizing for how manager handled the situation, the manager by the name Trevor wrote an email. It was appalling and insulting. It's not even about the therapist but literally you do not handle client experience this way. Please be aware. 10/16/23 UODATE To further explain, this is an update written communication from this general manager. I find it highly concerning that this type of management is allowed in todays business. Be aware!! Please read below: "Ranka I have officially initiated your cancellation here at the NOW in Naperville. Below is your signed acceptance to our membership agreement form. I really don't like leaving negative reviews, but this massage was so ... not great I feel I have to. My husband bought me this massage to help me relax. I've had quite a few massages in the past, so I know a bit about what to expect. The masseuse asked me where I was hurting and what pressure to use. I told him that my shoulders were hurting and to use more pressure on them, but overall please use a medium pressure. He spent the majority of time on my lower back. While doing my arms, I felt my hand touching him.. almost being pulled to him to touch him. Totally inappropriate... Obviously that is my biggest complain about the massage. Instead of massaging a lot of areas, he almost just pushed on me if that makes sense? He did that a lot on my neck which was painful. He also told me at the end he used a very light pressure as to not "hurt" me when I specifically said medium. I won't be back, I think I'll stick to the place I normally go. The ambiance is beautiful and I was expecting great things walking in, but the strangeness overall of the massage will be making me not come back. read more

Little bit of trickery going on with the membership sign ups. And its gonna cost you almost $500 when you realize what you were actually signed up for vs how it was explained. It's in the contract! The gentleman will tell you. What contract? They sign you up at the counter. As for the experience. The massages were delightful. We actually traveled hrs for that date. Guess we will be paying for it for months ahead too without a choice and not living in the area. We had originally talked about going back 2x a yr. But after the membership tricks and speaking to the person there has definitely left a bad taste. And not much interest of even returning for the forced purchases of 4 massages.
