Great bar. Friendly people. Had a blast at 80s karaoke. Made some new friends too. Didn't try the food but will be back to do so.

I love the atmosphere here but they need a little work on their menu; 80's theme bar with cute decor. The food is just typical bar food.

We made the trip, got there about 1:50pm, as soon as we sat down the bartender/waitress came over (I wish I got her name) but she was so sweet! She the informed us that their grill closes at 2pm... yep in 10 mins. (They close the kitchen from 2-4:30pm) We explained that we were from an hour away and drove there just to try their burgers, she was more than understanding and was super nice! She let us order our food anyways. We were extremely grateful. The food came out pretty quickly. I got the BBQ Burger Stack and Mashed potatoes, my boyfriend got the Boss Burger with fries. The food was so delicious! As for the place itself- it was very comfortable. A place that felt like it was actually lived in- not just a place to come in to eat. If I lived closer I would be there at least once a week.

Genisio Bar & Grill didn't have many reviews, but the menu pics looked good, so we gave it a try. Glad we did! It's a nice little place, just a mile off the highway, so very convenient. It was busy over lunch! Obviously, it is "the place to be" for locals! Service was prompt and friendly. There are lots of choices on the menu, with sandwiches, salads and pizza/calzones. (No soups, which would be a nice addition to their menu.). They also have a kid's menu and dinner specials most evenings and the server said they get very busy at night. They also had a daily special, which was pot roast with carrots and potatoes today. The server described the tenderloins as hand pounded and breaded onsite. The corned beef for the Rueben is slo cooked fresh as well. So, my husband got the tenderloin and I got the Rueben. Both were generous in size and very good! I actually took half home as I was too full! Fries were crisp and hot. They have beer in bottles and cans, as well as soft drinks. The atmosphere was comfortable and it appeared to be very clean. We're glad we stopped and will keep this little place on our list of places as we travel! (PS--the menu had been updated from the original ones posted. I am posting updates.

Has some basic bar food full of grease and who knows what else. This seems good enough for the locals, but of course they have limited options. A pretty basic looking bar. It was pretty quiet inside. This was a place we stopped waiting for another place to open. It's about $4 for a basic cocktail. The food menu is limited. Mostly greasy stuff with the most popular option being the burgers. Those not minding the grease would probably find that the best thing to eat here. Good if only looking for a cheap drink. It also has basic bar food. The locals here can be a wild bunch but this place seemed pretty quiet though.

And the bartenders are downright kind. I remember an ooolllldd man at the bar, falling down drunk, and he was going to drive home. Oh hell no. Patrick, a bartender, asked me to follow as he drove the old man home in the man's truck, parked it, and helped the man walk into the lobby of his apt complex - the highrise. I did, and Pat and I drove back. Then, there's The Whiz. I was there on a Sunday afternoon, reading the paper and having a drink, and an autistic man walked in. I remember the men at the bar yelling 'it's The Whiz! Come here! We'll buy you a drink!' I thought oh hell no. I will not let them get him drunk. I watched, one man ordered a round 'for the boys' and winked at the bartender. She nodded. The 'boys' got rum and cokes, The Whiz got a plain coke. It was awesome. Then The Whiz ordered a round for his friends and slid her a quarter. She got their round, and when The Whiz wasn't looking, a man slid her a $20. Listening to their convo, I found out he was The Whiz because he was what's called an 'idiot savant' like Rainman. But he knew sports. If you asked him who the quartback was for XYZ team at the 1964 Superbowl he'd just rattle it off. The 1st baseman on XYZ baseball team in the 1942 World Series. He knew. Sadly, The Whiz died last year. 2000 people were there for his funeral. We loved him. And that's Leamens.
