This is a friendly neighborhood dive bar with lots of regulars. During our visit, we noticed the diversity of the crowd and how easily everyone talked to each other. We appreciated their prices (we had an old fashioned and a Bulleit on the rocks for a total of $15). Hubby also sampled the pretzel bites and thought it was exactly what you would expect. Nothing fancy, but standard bar food. Had we been interested in more of a dinner, would have been happy to try a burger. Between their prices, good cocktails, bar food and comfortable vibe, we would definitely stop by next time we are in the area. We considered this a good find! read more

They have had to overcome sizeable obstacles over the years but have still been able to maintain a strong connection to the community while serving amazing food and drinks. I have hopes this place will be good. Stopped in on a Monday at 8:50 and waited at a table for 12 minutes before moving to the bar for service . I then waited an additional 13 minutes at the bar to be served. I overheard the bartender tell another customer he had been a 10 hr shift, so I'm guessing that explains why service was a bit on the slow side. Never did get served, I'll try again during the day to see if I can get service. Again I have hopes that they are good, but service right now is a little chaotic during the later evening hours. read more

Review Visit: November 17th, 2014 Boozie's is great. After seeing the Davenport Sky Bridge and Rhythm City Casino, my friends and I were hungry and looking for some drinks. The coat check lady at Rhythm City Casino recommended this place... and we are sure glad she did. Walking it, it was a slow day, so we sat at the bar to converse with the bartender. She was jubilant and friendly. Served us promptly and kept us entertained. We ordered food and the chef came out to even talk to us. When he served us our food, he actually gave us an extra burger (we only ordered 2) and almost double the wings we ordered. He said we seemed like cool guys and wanted to take care of us. We tried to tip the chef, but he refused it no matter how hard we tried. The food itself was great! But then again, I have a soft spot for bar food. I always say 'Bar Food is the Best Food'! On top of that, we happened upon a drink special. So we were wining and dining for dirt cheap. So all in all, it was a great time and just the thing we all needed. Full of food. Full of beer. 3/12/26 The new Boozie's in the Freight House has been open for a week and I would not recommend it. It's very loud and we were there after the lunch hour. They need to install sound absorbing panels. My wife's sweet potato fries were burnt as were my onion rings which lacked any taste. The Boozie burger was good but lacked a bun that would hold up under the moisture of lettuce, pickles, tomato and onions- my bun fell apart. They have ways to go before this becomes a place people will want to frequent. Boxes stacked one corner and the 1st floor lobby is not all that inviting. The dining area/bar is just not as comfortable as it could be with more booths and less tables and chairs. Sorry management, it wouldn't take much to easily raise the bar. Showed up on a Sunday afternoon and it was just the right atmosphere for us to have drinks, meals and visit without a lot of noise. Now mind you, they had other tables and bar guests but not loud blaring music on top of it all. They had $3 margaritas and 50 cent wings. Plus I ordered a grilled drunken chicken sandwich. When my meal came, what I was presented with could be described as "the cheapest possible ingredients we could find." If this is the best burger anywhere outside of a POW camp, color me surprised. It was almost certainly a formerly frozen burger patty, some ghost-pale lettuce and a slice of tomato, with cheese. One bite left no surprises: this is what disappointment feels like. I left half of my burger behind after desperately trying to figure out what about it was special. Great local establishment. We had a group of 8 who ate lunch here. Te Boozie burger basket was the lunch special for the day and i was eager to try it out. I appreciated getting to choose the bread, and knew I wanted to try it out on Texas Toast. That was definitely the right choice - the bread was the perfect thickness and didn't get soggy at all. I also chose the sweet potato fries as my side. They weren't super hot, but they still hit the spot. Building Exterior appears to be 1870, but the interior and music are a trip back to 1970. The menu is extensive and better than average selection for bar fare menu Staff is courteous and friendly. It isn't a place to impress a date, but it is a very fun trip back to the 1970's. music is enjoyable, and the food is very reasonable and tasty. I'd recommend the Boozie Burger. I came to Boozie's with several friends last Saturday and we had a great night. This is a fun bar right in the thick of things in downtown Davenport. We were there for karaoke and it was a lot of fun. The couple who ran karaoke was very nice. This is my first karaoke experience in Davenport in a long time and I was surprised to find that, unlike in Utah, the DJs don't expect tips. The wait to sing wasn't atrocious and we were able to get up as a group and as individuals several times, in spite of the fact that the bar was full. The drinks were strong and fairly reasonable. Stopped here for lunch while strolling downtown. Service was friendly and never had an empty glass. They have 5 specials for $5.00 daily. Nice touch and seemed to be a good portion for lunch. The place is a great dive bar. BF ordered the Boozi Burger and said it was very good, couldn't really describe the special "boozie sauce", but liked it. I ordered the fish sandwich and it was also good and a large size. There are a variety of sides to choose from as well. Seems like it would a super relaxed place at night. If we lived in the area I know we would want to come back in the evening for a drink and some apps. read more

This place is a disaster. The restaurant literally looks like it is falling apart. There are ceiling tiles missing, tables that wobble, and is generally in a state of disrepair, not to mention that it has quite an unpleasant odor. The food for what you pay is pretty low quality. I went there today with a group for a birthday, and had the Boozie Burger, the only thing I find to be decent on the menu, and it contained several pieces of onion peel.
