We bellied up to the bar on a Friday evening to grab some dinner. Quickly got drinks and forming our food orders. Good bar selection (especially if you like bourbon of course), and great drinks and service. Food came out quick and was reasonably priced. My wife got the Pork BBQ sandwich, which was stacked VERY high with slaw and onion rings. The bourbon sauce was crazy good, and the whole combo was fabulous. I got the Philly Cheesesteak which was also great. Gooey, tasty cheese, and delicious veggies and meat. Both our sides, the baked beans and macaroni salad, were very good. Not only did we give this place a 2nd and 3rd and 4th or 5th chance but each time very dissatisfied. Not only was the service bad but each time after their grand opening we were reassured their liquor prices would be re-adjusted. We eat out 5 times a week and their prices are among the highest for the quad city area. Especially for their liquor. Their prices for tequila are higher than Bass Street or other upper class venues. read more

Sad to say, I will not be a return customer. We arrived around 8pm tonight for some dinner and drinks. We've been to your establishment before and have had excellent service. Tonight was my final visit. As everyone can see, are bill wasn't even started until 8:31pm. That's when we finally got asked for drinks. The first thing we noticed is that the prices have gone up. A little sticker shocked, but the last time we were there, we were not disappointed by the drinks, service, or food, so we let that slide. Yes, it was a little busy, but not so busy that we were, for the most part, ignored. Our waitress did not seem even interested in being there, and her attitude reflected this. I ordered the Killians while my boyfriend ordered the bourbon and the Black Butte. He requested for it to be smoked, as this option is offered and for apple wood to be used. After waiting for some time, we finally got our beers. It took over 10 minutes for my boyfriend to get his bourbon, and when he did, it wasn't even smoked. As we were sipping on our drinks, our waitress passed by us several times, completely ignoring us. Finally, I flagged her down and asked her for two menus. She comes back with ONE. My boyfriend and I look through the menu. When she came back, we placed our order. He ordered a calzone and an old fashioned and I ordered the grilled chicken sandwich. Again he waited too long for his drink. Once he did get his drink, it tasted like water with a little whisky flavor and it looked like extremely watered down iced tea. We waited for 45 minutes to get our food, contemplating just leaving and pay just for our drinks. When our food finally arrived, my chicken breast was moist, but very chewy... like it had been frost biten ,and my baked bean side was the size of a dixie cup with about three tablespoons full of beans in it. $11.99 for a grilled chicken sandwich and four bites of baked beans is overpriced. His food, also, wasn't what was expected either. Oh, and our entire 2 HOURS we were there, I only got asked once if I wanted another drink.... We asked for our check, paid, and left. Bad service, watered down drinks, wrong orders, and rubbery chicken sandwich... I'm sad to say, I will not be back. I want to like this place because you do have a wonderful selection of bourbons, scotches, and whiskeys, but your prices have increased dramatically and I know how much those bottles cost. I know your a business trying to make money and I get that, but providing watered down drinks to your patrons, getting orders wrong and gouging your clientele, just isn't good business and I can't, in good conscience, recommend your establishment to anyone. We have been looking for local places to try especially on the Illinois side of the Quad Cities. I wanted to try this since I like bourbon as well. Since it was lunch and had errands to run decided against partaking! Looks like a slightly smaller selection than Barley and Rye's. Overall nice place. Very clean and well decorated. Menu clean, but somewhat overpriced. I had the breaded pork tenderloin and upgrade to onion rings. Healthy portion and well prepared. Don't ask for lettuce and tomato. One small sprig and and a golf ball size slice! Wife had the bourbon bacon grilled chicken sandwich. Very small and for the price, could of had the fried chicken dinner. They also didn't add bourbon "dressing" which they brought out after asking and was thin and strong. Waitress was kind of off and asked us after 10 minutes if she took our order! Overall nice and a great addition to the "Valley". May need to adjust prices to stay competitive and have better servers to increase customer satisfaction. read more

Ordered 1/2 pepperoni 1/2 sausage by phone. Told it would be 35 minutes... wrong, try just under an hour. Paid 23 dollars for what was a good sized pizza, unfortunately I have had better frozen pizza. Extremely bland... that includes crust, toppings and sauce.I can think of 3 other Quad Cities style pizza places that are MUCH better for less money. I am extremely disappointed with their food and service was at best average. I am more disappointed that we still don't have a good pizza place in Coal Valley. The three places I didn't name earlier should take a hint. They could do some good business out here! read more

I have to come to this area every other month for work, and I was told Illinois is known for their famous "taco pizza" so I have been searching for it and I think I've found it. Ive tried 4 other pizza places and this is by far the best! The taco pizza is all I've tried but I can only imagine all the other food is just as great. Great service as well. First walked in with my group of seven. Obviously it would be hard for us to find a seat but we ended up at a dirty table with two empty wine glasses. My friends and I (all underaged) sat down and pushed the glasses away from us. One of my friends picked up the glass and smelled the wine until a waitress came over and took away the glasses. Within minutes the owner of the establishment came over to us and threatened to call the police on us for smelling alcohol! She said we were recorded and told us that if it happens again that we would no longer be allowed in the restaurant. She was totally aggressive and didn't give us a chance to even speak. On top of that knowing that this is a bar and grill the music was blaring so loudly that I could barely have a conversation with the person next to me. Overall a terrible experience. This is my 1st review of 1 start and I wish it less. Had dinner last night with friends and this how the night went. No high chair for our child. That is ok, because the place has too many tables in it to fit all the guest, so the high chair would be another thing guest squeeze around to get to seats and bath room. 1 person in our party after an hour of the rest of us eating, still had not got his food. It was the same order as mine, 15 min to make tops. Never explain where it was, just "it is coming out" . He left with no food. My chicken and waffles fries, not great. I got popcorn chicken, not strips and only 6 and those were over done. Our ice tea was weak. They cleared off our table took our drinks and silverware and we had to ask for more silverware to eat our main course and drinks. It took 6 ask to get 1 member his water glass back(He went to the bathroom) 3 tries to get silverware. read more

Stopped by for a few drinks and dinner. I ordered pretzel bites with beer cheese as an appetizer and they are delicious. Ordered the Bourbon burger for entree. Simply one of the best burgers I've had! I am usually not a fan of sauces on my burgers but the Bourbon sauce they use is great. I ordered on the side but will not do so again. Also tried the "Groovy Mule" cocktail which is a mule with a Raspberry kick. Ended up ordering a few of these as I am a definitive fan. They smoke certain cocktails at the bar where we sat so it was fun to watch the process and the subtle wood smell was great. Great food and beautiful place, highly recommended! read more

I came during a dinner rush. It was hard to navigate in there with so many people. The first thing you'll notice is how incredibly loud it is. The place looks very nice, but the noise will turn most off. Some of the staff was friendly, some seemed rushed and annoyed. It was a long wait for the food, but it was busy. Fries were undercooked. I'll give it another try in a month or so but wasn't very impressed with my first go round. read more
