Tried this place for the first time last week. The food was all phenomenal. The halibut was amazing. The lobster bisque was the best I've ever had. Same for the steak! Everything was exquisite! Like absolutely blown away. But then we went back exactly a week later on another regular Tuesday night (my 11 year anniversary) and they said that they were only seating people with reservations so we could not be seated. That honestly left a really bad taste in my mouth so you lost a star for the bad service and disappointment you left us. What kind of restaurant does that????

I HATE to be the one to do this because this has been a long time favorite over the many years my family has lived in Rockwall. 20+ years. We haven't been here in a really long time because it is quite pricy but last night was my sister's birthday and we were excited to splurge. The food used to be top quality. This is no longer the case at all. Dish by dish... the calamari was actually really good. Nice fat pieces and flavorful. The Caesar salad... decent but is not an option as a soup or salad that comes with your meal. They charge you extra for it. Why? It's a damn plain ass Caesar salad. Nothing special about it. The crab claws were quite pitiful. So small and barely any meat hanging on to the claw. They give you a lot of them but they are sad. The sauce with the crab claws was really good though. Great for dipping your bread in. I had the veil with sun dried tomatoes and artichoke hearts. If that wasn't the most pathetic piece of veil I have ever seen in my life. Almost as thin as paper and cooked to death. The white wine sauce belonged on a plate in a hospital cafeteria. The bruschetta was also pitiful. Just look at the photo. It tastes about how it looks. I give two stars because the service was very good. We enjoyed our server as he was polite and prompt. We spent a lot of money for food that was just not complimentary to the prices. I hate to be so disappointed because I talked this place up to my fiancé just for the food to be crap. Needless to say, I will not return which breaks my little food loving heart.

First time here. My wife and I celebrated or 43rd anniversary here. We had exceptional service and the food was great. Even had some escargot for the first time, wow. And that was a good wow.

This place has so much character, the decor itself is really warming, calming, and comforting to me. I love all of the stained glass everywhere in the place. And the mixed matched plates are really cute to me. I know a few other places that do that and they always seem to be the best places. The service was just perfect and our waitress was super sweet and was happy to explain more about the dishes to my husband and I. I personally got the Vitello Carciofino and it was Amazing! All of the flavors were so rich and the food is filling too. I've never had anything like it before and we will definitely be coming back to try out more of the dishes. I personally didn't want to leave the place cause of how welcoming it is. Keep up the good work there you all

The atmosphere was warm, inviting, and beautifully curated without trying too hard. The service was top-notch. Attentive and friendly server -- you can tell they care about every guest's experience. And the food... wow. By far some of the greatest Italian dishes we've had -- and that's saying a lot because we've traveled all over Europe. Every bite was flavorful, fresh, and clearly made with quality ingredients and pride. If you appreciate delicious, high-quality food and a charming atmosphere, this place is a must. We will absolutely be back!

We were roaming around the old courthouse Square downtown and stumbled upon this jewel. The atmosphere is really laid-back cool and their prices are quite fair. We split the bruschetta salad.. it was HUGE!! Very fresh with a wonderful, light dressing. The cheesy bread that comes with this salad is very good. Interestingly, it is served under the salad. For our entrée, we split the meatball lasagna. Again, a huge single portion, so splitting it was perfect. We have many terrific restaurants around us - Grapevine, Colleyville and Southlake. However, this was one of the finest Italian meals we have had anywhere, including Little Italy in Boston. Everything was so flavorful and hearty. The garlic toast served with the lasagna was also excellent. By the way, the old-fashioned with Makers Mark bourbon was superb as well. Based on our first-time experience, there is nothing NOT to like about this establishment. I just wish the portions weren't so generous so that we might have had room for the coconut cream pie. BTW, Hailey is an excellent server.

I explained to guy that I didn't want it cooked all the way since we weren't going to eat till 5-6pm that night. He then told me to just stick it in oven and it'll be fine. Awwhh NO!!! Can you say food poisoning I decided to re-cook once we were ready to eat later that day. We were pleasantly surprised at the favor. Lil heat but not too much. The shrimp were larger than most other places. The crawfish did have great favor and we enjoyed it all. The dinner came with 2/potatoes and corn. Which were rather large as well. I'm excited to try out the crab legs, and sausage too. They are only open on weekends. In a church parking lot, so be prepared to wait. I believe there were only two workers in trailer. One taking orders, and the other cooking. They do offer sauces for dipping. And all the orders are in large metal containers for big orders. Place your reservation early in week. That way they you can get your fix before they sold out. And your stuck without crawfish or shrimp when you have the craving for it. They accept cash, and all forms of credit as well.

The steak was the juiciest and most tender one I have ever had, so definitely worth the money. The house salad was great too, better than most sad salads elsewhere, lol. They don't serve complimentary bread with your meal, which was the only downside to the meal. The restaurant has a multi-layered layout so the wait staff definitely get a good workout with all the stairs. Next time I will go on a nice day and sit outside because it looked nice.
