Food is AWESOME, Service is Good & the Ambiance was Great but Alcohol is WICKED, overall this place was a good spot

Stopped in here for lunch while out chasing storms. It's slightly outside of the main downtown area but completely walkable if you're parked downtown. There's also plenty of parking in the area. Easy to get to. I sat at the bar; the bartender was very friendly and somewhat chatty. It wasn't particularly busy for the lunch crowd on a Saturday afternoon, but there was a good selection of people at the bar and in various booths and at tables. The vibe of the space is really good. I started off with a bowl of their soup, which was a Philly Cheesesteak Soup and it was excellent. Excellent! I need to figure out how to make it when I'm not out and about. Great beer selection. It's written on a chalk board near the bar, be sure to check out the latest. I had the Saddle Bronc by nearby Black Tooth Brewing. For lunch I had their Chicken BLT salad. Everything was fresh and the portion size was really good. Nice mix of chicken with the sidearms; highly recommended. Food was brought to the bar quickly. Overall a very good experience and I look forward to stopping in again the next time I'm in town! read more

Came in on a Tuesday evening and there were very few tables occupied. Server was super friendly but did make a mistake on my order - was served a burrito instead of a gyro. They gyro meat is apparently made in-house and is beef based, so I was intrigued. The flavor was very good, but there was too little of it. 3 slices seems a little lean, making it more of a Greek salad with some meat in a pita. Probably should have not gotten a side salad instead of fries. Lots of roughage. read more

I meet with friends for lunch every month, always at The Office. Today I chose the special - chicken tenders. It seemed to take forever to get our orders. The fries were great - but my tenders unfortunately were more breading than chicken & were way overcooked. Another in our party always orders the fish & chips ... and likewise, more breading than fish & way overcooked. Hopefully, things will improve before our next gathering, or just plain water it will be! read more

OMG - I've never had a green chili burger before, but that was the best burger I've ever eaten. And they covered the fries in green chili too, I thought I died and went to heaven! I added mushrooms on top because I couldn't decide between a mushroom burger & the green chili- made it even better. We sat outside on the patio because it was such a lovely day. The wait staff accommodated us by pulling a table outside. Next time we're in Casper- would definitely go back for this little taste of heaven. read more

I landed at 8:30 PM in Casper to speak at a seminar the next morning. When I walked the streets after 9 I found there was just not much open. The office was there for me though! The service was AMAZING! All of the bartenders were awesome! She told me I could not go wrong with the burger. My son and I have done video burger reviews on over 100 burgers across the US and one in Japan, so I know my burgers! This one did not disappoint! It was cooked PERFECTLY! the vibe in the place was super cool. They were playing video bingo in the bar and everybody seemed super happy to be there. I loved my first night in Casper and it was all because of the good people at the office! read more

Stopped by this place on a Sunday afternoon as we were passing through town. Wish this place was in my home town. Hubs had a bbq burger which he said was very good and I had a Crispy chicken salad that was very good. Produce was fresh and the dressing was good. Large portions. It was also nice to see they have happy hour on Sundays. Most places don't offer happy hour on the weekends. Food prices are very reasonable for the portions. Staff was very friendly. Like this place. Stopped in a whim. They have nice outdoor seating but needs more shade. Nice open, AC, indoor seating. We sat at the bar which was the best decision. ALL the bartender were great, accommodating & attentive. Mixed drinks, martinis, mule etc, & beer were all very good. Food was good. Nothing 5 star, but good. Use some salt on the cauliflower before breading, but still good. The new State office his being built behind it & the high school is right across the street (21 & over only - no worries). They may need to extend their happy hour till 8pm for the over-worked State workers & the high school teachers who need a stiff drink or at least give drink specials! #thankyouteachers This place is cool, literally & figuratively. This place is large and has a great outdoor area. Our waitress was nice but not super attentive. Prices for the quality is not worth it in our eyes. This is a place is where you come to get a 1/2 priced draft beer after work and go home for dinner. I got the electric lemonade and it was not good, too sweet and hardly any liquor. Charged us for extra olives in our martinis. Bowl of green chile is a complete joke if your from NM, don't even try it is like gelatin. read more

This facility has burnt food. This is a restaurant that really doesn't listen to their customers. I am appalled with The Office! I was a regular customer. I was recently treated so rudely over a misunderstanding about a $2.50 tab! Here's what happened: I had one glass of wine and my friend said he would treat me. We're talking happy hour, a whopping $2.50. I had my one glass, drank some water, thanked my friend, and left. About a week later, I went to The Office with my friend and two other friends. I started a tab and we played pool. During this time, the owner's daughter came over to me and told me rather nastily that I hadn't paid my tab last time. I was like, what? I questioned it but then I said, okay. The more I thought about it, the more I was irritated by how I had been approached. I also realized that my friend--for whatever reason--had not paid for my $2.50 wine. When I closed out, my server reminded me about the unpaid tab. I told my server that I would never set foot in The Office again because I was deeply offended about how the owners' daughter had behaved toward me. I paid, and tipped well. As I was leaving, the owners' daughter said, is there a problem? I replied, I am deeply offended and I will never set foot in here again. Two takeaways: my friend messed up, and The Office has very poor customer service. Trust me, I took it up with my friend! Side note: The Office smells like sewer gas. No amount of plug-ins can mask it. Needs to be addressed. read more

Surprising good!! First impressions of the building we thought it was an uppity place but once you walk in it has hometown bar atmosphere. Beer options are off the charts. I ordered a flight of dark beers and husband had Cadillac margaritas. Margaritas were made perfectly. Food was delicious. We had the wonton wrap fried pickles, chicken and waffle sandwich, and an order of fish and chips. We don't have one bad thing to say about the food or service. read more

I had 3 vodka cranberries and a crispy chicken salad. In the salad the blue cheese dressing was way to thick and gloppy. Hard to toss your salad in it you had to spread it on your salad. The chicken and other veg in the salad were diced finely making the salad not have much texture. What got me was the cost. Three drinks and a salad the bill was almost 39.00. So with tip that put me to darn close to fifty for the value of what I got. read more

We are visiting Casper for a few days and stopped here last night for dinner and drinks. The staff were so nice and friendly!!!! Super accommodating when we asked for sound for the NFL game. Food was great - we had the gyro egg rolls, pickle won tons, Reuben, and green chili burger. Everything was fabulous. Lots of beer options on tap. One drink and then cut off from drink services. If I could leave less than one star I would. According to the staff it was because they were tip certified. They gave no other explanation. All that were at our table (4 of us) had our first drink of the evening and we're denied any drinks after that, in the most rude manner. We weren't told "we would like to serve you water before your next drink". Which we would have accepted. Instead we were flat denied with no tact. Service was excellent this evening. Our waiter was named Nick and he was training Shelby. Both were fantastic! I ordered the chicken tenders with fries and my wife ordered the BLT salad. The chicken tenders were moist and delicious and the fries tasted great. I was worried about my wife's food, as she only ate the bacon and chicken and had just a little of the actual salad. However, my wife confirmed that the salad was in fact delicious and it was her choice to only eat the meat and a couple pieces of lettuce. It was a wonderful experience, and we will definitely plan to be back. read more

I went and had a bowl of soup and a glass of wine. When I got the bill of $13.40, from waiter GABE, I paid him cash and when he brought my change he upcharged my bill to $14.00. I asked him about the change of 60 cents he owed me and he said he didn't deal in change. Well, guess what? He made a 60-cent tip and Karen and Jim lost a customer from theft. read more

We didn't get to try their food cuz the kitchen was closed when we arrived. I will say, however, that a glance of the menu quickly tells you that, contrary to Yelp, this is certainly not a 4$ restaurant! We loved The Office for its vibe and our bartender, Jessie, who literally couldn't have been sweeter, more attentive, or more enjoyable to talk to. I wouldn't usually rate a place without trying their food but I have to because the service was the kind that endears a person to a city. The new menu at this long-time Casper classic, reinvented, is fresh and fun. The atmosphere is classy and conservative. The beer is cold. 32 beers on tap, and many others in bottle/can form. I've been to this restaurant twice since they have re-opened and both times the food has been bland. I had the wings the first time and they just didn't meet the mark for the price. The sandwiches were decent, but I feel like the food they want to be producing and the food that comes out of the kitchen are just not the same. Let me preface this by saying that the original Karen & Jims was my all time favorite. I come to Casper once a year with the horse races for two weeks and last year I was there at least six times during those two weeks. Needless to say I was excited about going back even tho I had read the naysaying reviews.. that being said ... I should have listened ... it was horrid. The remodel is nice but the service was awful, empty glass sat at our table waiting for ice tea refill for 15 minutes... burger was ordered without bun, but came with one... no biggie as she brought a plate to put it on... My fav Green Chili burger was covered in coagulated green chili and there was enough salt on my fries to kill a small child... never again! Sad to see it happen but it did. read more

Today was my first visit and it will be my last. I ordered a French Dip sandwich and a Bloody Mary. When I order a French Dip sandwich I expect real meat not some processed lunch meat. It appears they use Steak-ums for their meat. Taste was terrible and the texture was like soft beef jerky. The Bloody Mary was watered down. There are too many other places in town to get a good meal at the same price. HEk cArby's french dip is far superior to the one served here. read more

Bummed, because I like Karen and Jim. Ordered the nachos and egg rolls. Nachos were ok, guacamole was straight up foul. Nasty, old, brown, I tried just a touch of it to verify it was truly as funky as it looked. Should've just stuck with judging that book by its cover. Egg rolls weren't bad, crispy, good presentation. However, the diced cucumber and tomato served with it were well past their prime. I thought they were pickled at first, why else would a cucumber be yellowish and mushy? Server was very inattentive, and basically forgot about us. When we were finally able to explain our discrepancies with the food, she seemed genuinely apologetic but said we would have to talk to the owner to do anything about it (who wasn't there btw). We asked for a box for the nachos (sans guac) and she told us she would be right back with it. After 15 mins, we went to the bar to pay. The bartender tracked down our server who brought us our ticket and then proceeded to tell us that she just got a big table that was more important. Once again, bummed, have had many great experiences when it was Karen and Jim's. If we go back, it'll just be for drinks. read more
