The Gyro salad is also amazing. In fact, I have never been disappointed in anything prepared here. The selection of baked goods is amazing. The wine selection is also outstanding. ( Now for the other side of the story). Going back to the time when I was born (in Ireland, but this story began in another part of Europe) In the 1950's outside of Athens, Greece when a family traveled from there to the United States in search of a better life. The mother found comfort in a foreign land while working as a baker, hand-making the recipes she brought with her. She passed these recipes on, with love. Another begins in the 1980's on the Italian island of Sardinia when a young man in the U.S. Navy, met a local girl & brought her back to the United States to raise their family. She keeps in touch with her family & her homeland by importing the food products she grew up loving. Their stories eventually intertwine through a marriage. They bring these tastes of the Mediterranean & tlove of these foods to our community on the north coast of Lake Erie. Join in the experience!

So I called to place an order for pickup, 2 with double meat for me and 1 regular. It doesn't even occur to me until I get home and look at the receipt I was ripped off. The woman on the phone or the guy who rang me up either one could have mentioned something but WHY WOULD I PAY MORE FOR JUST DOUBLE MEAT THAN AN ACTUAL GYRO!? For one the double meat used to be like $2 but why on earth would someone just want to pay more for double meat when they could just buy another one and clean out the wrap into the other!? Shady business practice for sure...

On Saturday June 13th my older aunt and I decided to stop in and get lunch somewhere like we often…read moredo during her Saturday errands. We arrived at Olive Garden about 1245ish, give or take a few minutes. The host was like a zombie. He spoke almost no words and the words he did speak were very monotone. Almost like he did not want to be at work today. He took us all the way to the back section, making my aunt who uses a walker, walk the whole distance with a complete lack of empathy. He just blew right to the table not being conscious of people who might not be able to get around that quickly. We sat down and there was only 3 tables around us. 2 tables of 1 couple each and a trio of people behind us. 4 servers walked past us, no smile, no stopping to let us know they'd be right with us, nothing. I even made eye contact with multiple of these servers to no avail. After about 10 minutes of absolutely no service from anyone, no drinks, NOTHING, we got up and walked out. Want to know the best part? The manager, the host, the take out order girl and one of the other male servers (who were all standing right at the door doing nothing) didn't even notice us leave. Nobody held the door for my aunt, nobody said goodbye or have a nice day or anything. It was probably the worst lunch trip we've ever had. Anywhere. So we went to Chilis across the way in Great Northern and were greeted immediately, within 15 seconds of us sitting down we had our server telling us she'd be right with us. By the 5 minute mark we had drinks and were getting ready to order. Olive Garden at Great Northern is a complete waste of time. They want $12.99 for a bowl of endless soup but won't even get you a drink or acknowledge your existence. For $12.99 that bowl better pay my taxes! Chilis got our money today and will continue to get it. Olive Garden will simply not. Due to a complete lack of customer etiquette, service and any other basic need you have when running a restaurant. Shame on the management. Shame on the franchise. F*** You Olive Garden
