I was planning to serve breakfast at an employee appreciation function. I put calls out to 3 companies that advertise as omelet makers. One returned my call a week later and the other gave me a quote and a contract that made me feel as if I was buying a car, it's just omelets... But, Laurel at the Omelet Chefs Catering in Bowie MD was the best.. she gave the full price upfront so I wouldn't have to guess or be surprised!! She followed up days prior to the event and broke down the cost again... Due to the fact that I had been here before, on the day of the event I had extra money, thinking that it had to be some hidden charge. But to my surprise,,, bill was just as quoted... Because we are located on a government facility and as a visitor, their vehicle may be subject to a security inspection upon entry, resulting in a possible delay at the gate. I requested that they arrive by 0515. The chefs where were at the facility by 0445. They were the most professional and amazing young individuals. I have seen in a long time...They set-up promptly and moved the line efficiently. Everyone raved about the food. All I can say is WOW!!! We will be doing business again!!! read more

I hired The Omelette Chefs for the made-to-order pasta station at my husband's surprise birthday dinner, and they exceeded every expectation. I initially found them through a Google search and, admittedly, was a little skeptical because of the business name. However, their pasta station package did not disappoint. From the very beginning, their customer service was exceptional. Laurel and Beverly answered all of my questions promptly and were incredibly accommodating when I needed to adjust our service time shortly after booking. On the day of the event, Chef Rey was kind, professional, and attentive. The setup was beautifully done, and the food was absolutely delicious. Our guests were blown away by the quality and flavor of the meal. One detail we especially appreciated was that the food was not overly salted. Instead, they provided separate seasonings and condiments, allowing each guest to customize their dish to their own taste. The entire experience was seamless from start to finish, and they played a big part in making the evening special. First and foremost, the communication with the team at OCC is unparalleled: open, honest, transparent, and clear. Then the day of (the day that matters most) the chef showed up on time, was cool calm and collected. She did her thing whipping out 4 made to oder Omlettes at a time while simultaneously maintaining a full waffle, bacon, and sausage tray! I have worked with this group since the 1990's when I was District Manager of the USPS in Northern Virginia and we hosted morning reward breakfasts at the carrier delivery station which won the perfect safety award for the quarter. Since, we had them host a Sunday brunch after one daughter's wedding in 2012. Just yesterday we paid a little extra for them to host a brunch at River's Bend Ranch in Stanley, VA(near Luray) for another daughter's wedding for 200 guests! We did it because we knew the quality of their food, their fabulous service and I knew they could be relied on to get there, on time! This last one that we just had was a surprise party for my husbands 65th, and it was truly a great hit as everyone was able to have hot pasta cooked the way they wanted with the tasty ingredients that they love! OMG where do I begin to tell you how pleased I was with my brunch!! This brunch was to celebrate my 66th birthday and I found and used this company by its ratings online. They were contracted to arrive @9:45am; Chef Mike pulled in the driveway @9:44a! He was shown where to set up and it was on after that. He was personable and my guest absolutely loved him. He catered to my guest little quirks without missing a beat. He finished up exactly on time and left the area like he found it. So impressed with him my elder cousin ran up to his car to personally tip him! I could go on all day about the compliments about the food and setup that my guest gave me. They were awesome! I hired Omelette Chefs to cater my husband's surprise birthday breakfast as part of a 3 day 4 event celebration. First of all, because it was a surprise I requested that we communicate via text or e-mail only! I couldn't risk my husband overhearing a phone call. They stayed true to that including texting me to let me know they were at the door so we could sneak them in. This was the best catering experience that I have had in a long time. I searched the web trying to find a last minute catering service for an office event and within minutes Laurel called and promptly booked our event with less than an 48 hour notice. We even had to change the date but Laurel was beyond helpful in accommodating us. Chef Allen Ray arrived on time and he was fully prepared to serve our team. We used the Omelette Chefs for our company's annual kickoff meeting, and they were top notch! From the attentive schedulers (in office) via phone and/or email to the day of the event-everyone was professional, great communicators and attention detailed. Our chef Mike was fabulous! We had about 30 people, and Mike was so friendly, professional, and prepared delicious custom omelettes and waffles with (what looked like) ease. The Omelette Chefs served breakfast for our back to Sunday School Rally Day at the Jefferson United Church of Christ. It was the best event ever and the omelettes were delicious. The Chef set up early as they had planned and was totally prepared when members arrived. When we returned to the social area where our Rally was held following the Church service there was no evidence that the Omelette Chefs had even been there. Super efficient and professional. What a fantastic idea! It was perfect for our event and everyone was raving about it. My neighbor said it smelled like a fresh baked cake when he came over. Just used the Omelette Chefs to cater our daughter's baby shower. We decided to make this a family event and everyone from the kids to teens to adults loved the food. We used The Omelette Chef for our holiday party. They did the pasta station for over 100 guests and it turned out perfectly. They had a huge variety of options to customize your pasta which tasted delicious! We had the table set up, but they provided everything else. Set up was fast and they were ready to serve the guests quickly. It would probably would have helped if we had 2 separate areas set up for service because the line was long, but overall, no one minded the wait. Second time using Omelette Chefs Catering for Teachers Appreciation Week. The service and food was amazing. When they said the chef would be there at 6:15am and everything would be ready to serve by 7:30am they were correct. Chef Michael was on task. If you asked that your omelettes, waffles or bacon be cooked a certain way he made it happen. When they said we had a 1 hour serving time for 30 people everyone had been served.
