My top ten reasons that I am loyal: 1) Lily and Jenny are talented massage therapists. She had the anti-aging facial and I had the 1hr deep tissue massage. Everyone was so kind and welcoming. They had us change into our robes and guided us to our rooms. My mom said the facial felt amazing and rejuvenating. Not only was her face treated, but they extended the facial to her neck and chest. They also included a head massage, arm stretches, and an upper lip wax. For my deep tissue massage, my masseuse (I wish I knew her name) was very attentive. Before she began, she asked if I wanted medium pressure or hard pressure. Given it was my first massage I selected medium to start. I have a lot of tension held in my back, due to working on my feet in healthcare, and she really helped relieve years of tension I've gotten used to living with. I go to the front desk to ask if there are slides or slippers. My feet got really hot in the sauna I was wearing socks . One must either be in socks or barefoot. I asked him about the additional services and he said the women in the locker rooms do those. The woman in the locker room are the "masseuse " or "esthetician" in a sense. Before entering the wet room (one removes their spa uniform showers ) before using the jacuzzi steam room and cold plunge. Ok so I decided to get the Korean body scrub and massage. The body scrub was better than the massage. I braced myself each time I was rinsed with water. A basin of water gets thrown on you. The massage included a facial and I appreciate her massaging my stomach where I tend to get fibroids. The facial left my skin glowing . Overall i probably won't go back but i feel encouraged to check out higher end spas and treat myself more. I think these spas are good for sauna unless your gym has one. It was an ok value. I was completely shocked and uncomfortable. Feeling put on the spot, I reached into my purse and gave additional money, but I left feeling upset and taken advantage of. The next day, I called to speak with a manager about the situation. I was told the manager did not speak English and that I would need to explain my complaint to the receptionist so she could translate it herself. That made me even more uncomfortable and disappointed, especially since my complaint involved the staff and handling of tips. I have spent a significant amount of money at this spa and expected professionalism and respect. Instead, I was left feeling pressured, unheard, and unwilling to return despite having sessions remaining. Customers should never feel obligated or pressured into giving additional tips after already tipping appropriately.
