These symptoms lasted for over 7 weeks and significantly affected my daily functioning, and I am still experiencing ongoing headaches. The clinic manager initially promised a refund, but later refused unless I signed a document restricting my ability to share my experience publicly, including reviews and social media. The document included a clause stating that I could be required to pay a substantial financial penalty per breach if I shared my experience. This was very concerning and disappointing.

I purchased several treatments during their 11/11 promo for members. You can get 30% off or 40% off depending on the services you purchase. Non-members get 25% off on promotional treatments. Botox are $8/unit if done by a Registered Nurse. I recommend Lydia for botox. I have been a client at VLSC since 2012 but this is my first time in the Burnaby centre. I went for Hydrafacial with JLo boost. Harmen was the aesthetician assigned to me. She did a great job. She enumerated every step of the hydrafacial and explained the benefits of each one. This centre is very pleasing to the eyes and service is very efficient. I highly recommend.

We thought it would be some hair treatments similar to a facial but for hair but it was just shampoo and conditioner. The worst part of it was that the technicians aggresively scratch your head so hard. It felt like my skin was being torn off. Quite painful ever after asking for softer force. It was not pleasant nor relaxing at all. They shampoo twice and condition once and then blow dry your hair. They ask you to sit up to do some massaging on your shoulders. Then you are asked to sit in front of a mirror where they serve you cold water and finish blow drying. Then the 'spa' treatment is done and they start to clean up the room and ask you to change.. but they're still there and the door is also wide open to the public area. The technicians were nice people but they really need to reformat their spa style. I also noticed they had extremely long nails which I assumed they also work at the nail salon. This may be the reason why their head scratching hurts a lot.

I reached out to Alisha and from the moment I messaged her, to meeting her, and through our follow-up conversations, I've felt incredibly comfortable and cared for. Alisha took the time to answer my questions and reassure me since I was initially a little nervous and hesitant. The brow appointment took 4 hours since she is newer, but I was appreciative of her attention to detail and her dedication to making my eyebrows look perfect. Alisha would keep finding small things or details about my eyebrows that she wanted to fix or make even more symmetrical. I am so impressed and thankful for her work. I've had several compliments on my unhealed & darker eyebrows already and I can't wait to see what my eyebrows look like when they're fully healed! Thanks Alisha!

I don't have enough words to express how much I love Meraki…read more I have been coming to Meraki for lash extensions since November 2018 (when they were still at their Kingsway location) and since then, I refuse to go anywhere else. Their new studio on Burlington is absolutely gorgeous. It's spacious, girly, and cozy. On top of lash services, they offer brow and nail services as well. I've been seeing Jess since day 1 and she is fantastic. I always do a volume set and since I've been seeing her for so long now, she knows the length, style, and amount of volume that I like to a tee. I've never been disappointed by a set from her. My lashes usually last 3-4 weeks (sometimes 5 weeks) before I need to get a fill, which says a lot because in the past my lashes never lasted more than 2 weeks from other studios. One of my favourite things about Meraki (besides walking away with gorgeous fluffy lashes) is the family atmosphere. All the technicians are so talented, friendly, and funny. There is always good music playing in the background, which is a plus when you're laying there for 2 hours. I genuinely enjoy coming to get my lashes done because I find it extremely therapeutic. I mean, you get good music, great conversation, fluffy lashes, and potentially a nap while you're there? Win win, in my opinion. Since coming to Meraki, I constantly get compliments on my lashes and I'll always send them here. For as long as I'm in Vancouver, Meraki will be my go-to lash spot.

I feel very well looked after and the front desk attendance especially Mindy is always very friendly and service oriented. Dr Eichhorst looked after me during my colon cancer ordeal, chemotherapy and while getting an ilistomy bag for a year. I also got wonderful mental support and I will be greatfull for the rest of my life for all his work. Meanwhile I definitely consider Dr Eichhorst a friend who has come to Saint Paul's hospital and also my house many times just to see me and give me moral support. To me Dr Eichhorst is definitely not one of many doctors but the only one to me who really cares and to make it very clear: I believe, that he as well as Dr Carl Brown from the colorectoral department at saint St. Paul's hospital saved my life a few times. My cancer has disappeared and I can live my life to the fullest now.

The staff at the front desk are lovely and work hard but there are definitely doctors to avoid. Dr Ticea is cold and awful in my opinion. She misdiagnosed my Mum and when I saw her, she was not friendly and had no time for me. I will not see her again. After I saw her, I asked to see another doctor and saw Dr Sofia Bayfield who was patient, thorough and kind. Dr Frame is lovely and used to be my family doctor but I moved overseas for 6 years and don't really see him anymore. Overall, I'll still come to this clinic as it is close to my husband's workplace and they have my files from decades back.

Sadly I have to write a review. I had gone in to the salon and asked the receptionist I need…read moresomeone that is skilled at balayage technique. She was a short girl with dark hair who recommended Nima. I have worked in the hairdresser industry so I even used the right terminology plus pictures to express the look I was going for. He said no problem at all and I trusted he understood what I wanted. The day of my appointment, I reiterated a second time what I wanted. Not close to the roots. Balyage effect..level 6 nothing near 9 etc. He started using foils and weaving thin pieces. I asked "oh do you not do the free had technique because it looked like what he was doing was highlights. He replied " oh the type of bleach we use doesn't work with that method. As a stylist, I have never ever heard of this excuse or reason for not wanting to give the client what they preffered. My second gut feeling thought he has been doing this for years after he expressed very much about his past accomplishments so I ignored my instinct. I then noticed he was taking globs of bleach and slapping it on, no weathering technique even..nothing. When it was done, he never showed me the back. I did tell him I really like it but the lighting in there was deceiving. It wasn't until I walked out I noticed both in the mall and had some friends asked what happened. The manager called me after I expressed my concern seeing I paid over $300 bucks... and she didnt really have my empathy..or concern.. Other than yea he can re do it for you. When I expressed everything I just wrote...she replies " oh well I wasn't there so.. Jut super passive and u professional. I looked at the reviews and pretty much saw the exact same complaint scrolled down from 2016. As much as I adored Nima and his personality, at the end of the day...receptionists..and manager, if you know for a fact that their specialty isn't Balyage..don't recommend a stylist that clearly couldn't achieve the modern technique of it. I can't risk again going back to the same stylist if even if I wanted highlights, that in itself showed some poor results. I will take the hit as I cant risk more damage.

Physical distancing and covid19 preventative measures are all in place and I felt comfortable having my pedicure done. The only thing was that there is no washroom available, so I had to b-line it to the mall bathroom, afterwards. Also, when I called to book, I wasn't told that the West location was closed and I had to hoof it to the other side of the mall, to the East location.
