I read some of these reviews when I was facing having to go back to work after having my first child and researching day care options, and decide to go visit this place in person because of them. So, after having my son enrolled in the program for the last several months, I felt compelled to come back and post my own feedback in hopes that my review will help new parents feel a little better about the difficult transition of going back to work and sending their children to Rainbow Learing, specifically in the toddler program since that is what I have experience to speak from at this point even though my husband and I have no doubt we will keep our son at Rainbow as he continues into the toddler and preschool classrooms. I called in for a tour and got an immediate response from the director, who scheduled an onsite visit for me that same day. The director Lilian was very empathetic to concerns and answered all my questions. The facility itself was very clean, with plenty of up to date toys and equipment. All that aside, the experience I have had with the staff is by far the best and most valuable reason why this day care is so great. For the most part, they have the same group of caretakers there every day, so my child has gotten to know and feel comfortable with all of them. He smiles at them when I drop him off in the morning. They are very knowledgeable about babies and each phase that they go through, and they have given me great advice and assistance with things that as a new mom can you don't really know exactly what you are doing. I also find their pricing to be fairly reasonable for the prices you are getting. They do require monthly tuition payments, and that is to be expected. They are running a business and in order to be able to pay great people to be there they need to charge a certain amount. You get what you pay for. Especial thank you for their food- everything home made, milk, fruits, vegies are organic. They using organic vegetable broth to make their soups, the menu, overall, is very good. Please keep in mind that they serve only chicken or vegetarian menu only so don't expect any seefood or pork or beef there. Long story short, I am able to go to work every day knowing my son is completely taken care of and enjoying himself. I highly recommend Rainbow Learning Academy. read more

We love Rainbow Learning Academy (RLA)! Our 3 y/o daughter has been attending for the last five months and she loves it here. Prior to selecting RLA, I went and visited and interviewed many different local daycare including small home setting daycare. In short, it was easy to decide on RLA after all my visits and discussion with other programs/caretakers. Too many to list but here are a few reasons why I appreciate RLA: Teachers and Staff: First and foremost, RLA has a wonderful group of teachers and staff. While I'm most familiar with my child's classroom teachers and the leadership team who is out in the front generally, I am sure that it applies generally. Teachers are attentive, kind, and nurturing. I feel comfortable and confident leaving our child behind so that I can go to work all day and not worry about how she is doing and if she's being taken care of. That has never been an issue and I'm very grateful that I've had such peace of mind. Food: We appreciate and love the weekly menu. Food/healthy diet is very important, and we appreciated how each meal is prepared on site and it's not the typical chicken nuggets, mac n cheese, hamburgers etc. Nothing wrong with those meals per se, and I realize it's easier to feed the kids what they like, but we enjoyed our daughter being exposed to healthy menu. In the summer, I noticed that they use fresh ingredients from the garden to prepare the meals. Big PLUS for me is they offering vegetarian menu as well so vegetarian families having a choice too. Art: It is clear that RLA places importance on art and creativity. Perhaps because I'm not all that creative, I appreciated that our daughter was experiencing creativity and making something beautiful and fun with her classmates. They have a separate art room and a dedicated art teacher, so it's wonderful. Science Lab: Love the adorable lab coats and a separate space to grow/develop their curious minds. It's been fun to hear what my daughter did/learned in the lab. I can probably list several more but not sure who even made it to this point, ha. I highly recommend RLA to all those who are considering it. In fact, I have been to anyone who has asked me regarding our childcare situation. read more

My daughter was at Rainbow Learning almost 6 month and she just loves this place a lot! Tuition here is much less than having a nanny, less than Bright Horizons, slightly more than many of the smaller schools and daycare centers, and much more than the cheapest baby jails like Kindercare. For a 3-year old, five days a week full-time is $1500 a month. Before you panic, that includes breakfast, morning snack, cooked on-site lunch, afternoon snack, and evening snack. The center is open from 8:00 am - 6:00 pm every weekday except for six holidays a year, though the state mandates that kids can be in care for a maximum of 10 hours a day. It also includes ALL supplies they will ever need except a change of clothes and sunscreen. Need to add that they also do potty training which is part of the program with no extra cost. The teachers are all college-educated and certified in early childhood education. The school has passed rigorous academic, social, and health criteria well beyond what the state requires. Kids have music class twice a week in addition to a full age-appropriate curriculum. The center operates at well below the state-permitted ratios; for Felix's age group, there are two teachers and a teacher's aide for 17 kids (under a 1:6 ratio); the state permits a 1:10 ratio. A lot of childcare centers pay lip service to cleaning protocols but Early World just does them... it's internalized and you can see teachers reflexively cleaning whenever they see something that needs it, and before and after meals and snacks. The place looks and smells clean because it IS clean. Kids learn better and feel more secure in a clean, tidy environment, so I'm glad that they make this effort. It also helps keep the inevitable sickness to a minimum. Best of all, parents can go to work without that nagging feeling in the back of their mind that their child is unsafe or not well cared-for. If there's an earthquake, medical problem, or some other issue, the staff at Early World is well-trained and will handle it right to keep the kids safe. That peace of mind is worth a lot to me. read more

Our son has been in daycare since he was 8wo, and this is the 5th daycare for him (we moved a lot in 2.5y). We always relied on top-notch franchising such as Kinder care (3 different locations) and The Goddard School. We toured tons of daycares (including different Bright Horizons locations), but nothing compares to the level of care and attention to detail that we were able to get at World for Kids. They learn to know the children, they make sure to let them do activities in which they are engaged, and they simply take loving care of them. We are very lucky to have Miss Mila and Miss Johanna as our main teachers (our son loves them to the point of pretending to make phone calls to them as soon as we get back home in the afternoon), but all the ones we met are sweet, caring and experienced. The curriculum is truly in place and they do all sorts of things, from baking cookies to soccer or yoga outside, to learning to read, doing math, crafts, logic games, writing, spelling and I can continue. They do not have any TV`s or any other electronic gadgets to use but their main point is communication skills. In previous daycares, although they mentioned all sorts of things in the CV, the kids were mainly coloring and doing arts and crafts all day, plus some free movement time. Our son is active and curious and would just get bored to the point to not being willing to go to school previously, now at pick-up time we have to convince him to come back home. The meals are prepared daily and they make sure to add variety day by day but also week by week. Dario got much more independent at feeding himself and tries all sorts of foods since being at World for Kids. Not having to prep extra food the night before just to have our son eat something that was not freshly made is a huge relief for us. Last but not least: their location is extremely convenient and we really like that school is very small which is very good for some families who want to have a lot of attention for their kids! read more

Rainbow Learning has been a lot more than a child care place for us, it's a home away from home and a place that I hold dear in my heart. Almost 2 years ago, my nanny quit with little notice and I toured around as many place as I could, I knew right away after meeting teachers that this was the right place for my babies. They have a passion for childcare, loves all kids that walk through their door. We also love the amazing teachers who are also kid-whisperers and great educators. I have watched with amazement that the teachers resolve toddler "issues" without ever raising their voices. My boys, along with their friends have grown from little crawling babies (whom Becky held for two weeks to help adjust!) to now potty-trained, alphabet reading, book loving, Spanish-English speaking, young confident toddlers. I can't say enough good things also about their huge backyard where my kids are allowed a lot of outdoor time, run around as kids should. They also helped plant flowers and edibles in their garden, watched caterpillars turn into beautiful butterflies.... With a mixed age group of kids, my kids were loved from day one from older kids who love to give them hugs. They also learned to be very gentle to smaller babies. Of course I should mention the food what they making from scratch everyday! Their food is very well nurturing and verity is pretty good. They serve meet or vegetarian options, breakfast, soups for lunch, snacks after naptime and dinner. ( I wish I can be enrolled at Rainbow so I can eat there everyday). Oh and they have very few holidays if that's important to you :) You can't go wrong with this place. My kids love all the teachers and talk to me about them all the time, I know yours will too. read more

I researched over 6 different preschools - onsite tours, open houses and preschool fairs. I looked into Montessori, Goddard, Stem, Multi-language Immersion, and Play-based preschools. I quickly realized how crucial a play-based approach is. I wanted a warm, cozy, welcoming environment where my daughter had freedom to explore and play while learning. Where teachers build lasting relationships with the kids, where my child isn't just a number but rather feels apart of a community - a family. The Rainbow Learning was the perfect fit. My daughter has been at Rainbow for just about 7 month and has really thrived. She is more confident, articulate and truly seems to love going to school. It's such a relief to know my daughter is not only in great hands - but is growing and learning in such a positive and supportive environment. The preschool is very clean and organized. It's feels 'homey' and another big bonus is that they do have a food over there, home made one. My baby loves their food, especially soups and dinners. You don't need to worry about nutrition part for your kid. I do understand why Rainbow was nominated so many times- they just simply deserve it!!!! My son has just "graduated" to kindergarten. He attended Rainbow Learning Academy from ages 2 to 5 years, and what a great experience it has been for him. The teachers and director are simply excellent, and we are happy that so wonderful teachers that our son has had. Since our son attended for 3 years, we've seen how much work they put in, how much they care about the kids, and what a good environment they provide. The kids get a lot of variety -- reading, writing, crafting, playing outside (a lot!), show-and-tell, painting, planting seeds, dressing up, and much more. The school is a gem!! RLA has a strict "no TV, no gadgets " policy -- which we were very, very glad about. I've seen places where kids are basically plopped in front of a TV, and the kids are bored and irritable. Not here. The school also takes academics and learning seriously. Our son is a competent, confident reader, and has a grasp of basic arithmetic. We read to him on most nights, but it is clear to me that a lot of his reading, writing, and arithmetic skills are due to Rainbow. We and our son will miss Rainbow and the many wonderful people there. Thanks for providing him with such a wonderful time. read more

Cant say enough about how great Rainbow Learning is!!! We have had our daughters at RLA since the fall of 2018. Over the years we have been in every class from Tiny 2s to Pre K (which was a fabulous choice to ease the transition into the public school system/schedule) and every step of the way our kiddos were adored, taught well, guided through teachable moments and as a result, they really loved going to school. RLA is an intimate environment that is big enough to offer state of the art early-education programs. The classrooms are colorful and vibrant, the facility is impeccable and the staff is second to none. Every teacher we have had over the years has been patient, kind, communicative and helpful. My daughters were able to make a special connection to each of their teachers. RLA really has been like an extended family for our girl and we feel so lucky to have had their early school years filled with so much support and caring. As a bonus, you cannot beat their amazing curriculum and very individual program what they use to teach kids! If you can get your kiddos into RLA (pro-tip: show up early for registration!) you will not regret the choice. read more

I LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS PRESCHOOL! My child has been going here for almost a year. They are the best around. I dont need to worry about anything- they do provide 4 different meals during the day. They totally nut free, also they do offer vegetarian menu as well. RLA has organic fruits, vegies, milk, e.t.c. Rainbow not using any particular program for all kids but the do use the few different one so you can make sure that they will choose the right program for your child. They teaching from A to Z so your child will learn all songs, numbers, letters, art, fine motor skills and a lot of craft activities. The hours are amazing, I love how easy pickups and dropoffs are, its so clean and they are reasonably priced ( compare to Bright Horizon) and I am so thankful for this place!!! I only have positive things to say about this school. Walking in the front door you instantly get a sense of community and tranquility (which you can't say about all schools). The teachers are wonderful, loving, helpful and the programs they offer daily for the students are outstanding! I highly recommend it to everyone who`s looking for a good quality school with no headache!!! read more

Can I get a sixth star, please? This is by far the best daycare our family has ever utilized. They have true compassion for the children and are very communicative with the parents. My son loves all the teachers. He has gone from being a shy guy to a social butterfly! They go the extra mile for the kids, and one can truly tell they give their heart and soul to all the kids. There is such a peace of mind knowing you can leave your child somewhere and not have to worry about their safety while you are at work. So now little bit about food what they provide- they provide organic food only. I personally saw the fridge full of organic milk, yogurts, batter, eggs, fruits, veggies and vegetable broth. Also, small things such a cereal, pasta, cookie, apple souse is also organic. Let me tell you that their menu looks great!!!!! There is 2 type of menu- chicken and vegetarian, so there is no pork ( which is makes me happy), no beef or seafood there. Every morning I feel the smell of fresh soup, so I KNOW that they're cooking everyday and everything what they serve is always fresh!!!!! This is all what I can say. It's hard to express how lucky I felt to find this preschool in our neighborhood. My two-year-old daughter has joined this school for one and a half months. The transition was much much smoother than my expectations. She stopped crying when dropped off within one week. And persuading her to go home is very hard. That was because the teachers were so warm and nurturing, and she felt loved and secure from Day 1. The school is situated in a house, not a fancy building, and the facilities and toys are not brand-new, but every detail there has been carefully designed that is full of consideration and love. The whole back yard was a lovely playground with a big slide and a smaller one, swings, a sandbox, a little house, a little kitchen, a tiny basketball playground, a crib for climbing, and plenty of plants and a big apple tree. The teachers are so experienced and knowledgeable. They not only teach the students skills but also help them to understand themselves and others, and how to communicate and solve problems. I learned a lot from observing how they guide students while they were playing and when there was a conflict. read more

The Rainbow Learning has been such a blessing to my girl! We changed 2 schools before we found RLA! Need to say that my little one has speech delay and we`ve been working with a therapist for more than a year but being at Rainbow more than 6 month gave my girl more vocabulary than she had before! I really impressed by the program what they use to improve communication skills for kids and their system works! The facility itself is a great space; very bright, very well organized and super clean! The teachers are kind, patient and engaged, as is the Director, Lilian. It's clear that she has a passion for education and that shows in her enthusiasm for instruction and education, as well as her open lines of communication with parents. Overall, I'm impressed with the level of communication and engagement among both the parents and the teaching staff, and their focus on cultivating a nurturing learning environment is clear. We fell in love with this place! This daycare has such well-thought-out and organized play activities and learning activities. This hands-on and play approach really allows kids to learn and navigate social skills at their best. There is structure and learning to the kids' day but it is not stifling like other preschools. The kids are jumping and laughing and lost in play with each other. The kids have circle time, read books, and have tons of art, science "labs", and even music, art, dance, and play (Dizzy Bus!) specialists that visit. Such a rare and natural outdoor play area. The preschool space is super cozy and inviting space, with couches and pillows to relax on warm colors and lighting. Super clean and always organized. We love every teacher-- they are so creative with the activities that they think of for the kids. Loving and positive with the kids, and great communication with parents! read more

As a parent, choosing the right childcare center can make such a difference in my overall peace of mind and happiness. I spent a good deal of time and a lot of stress considering my options and what would be best for me and my little girl. Choosing this center felt so good immediately! It is not the cheapest option ($1.500) you can find but not the most costly either. Food is included in this price and they serve only fresh, organic food, nothing from canes. So even though the cost matters, my child matters more. The people working there are happy and engaging with all kids and my daughter. They really run a great center and you can tell by the overall vibe there and with each of the teachers. Mrs Lily is really one of a kind and the whole experience has really meant so much to me already! We are looking forward to a great year! read more

I would highly recommend bringing your child here! My son was turning 2.8 and didn't have much experience with other kids or with being away from me and my husband, but Ms.Mila helped us all transition really well. She gave us a daily email and phone call updates was sending us pictures and videos during the day and got him adjusted in about 2 weeks and now he loves going to school! They have been a lifesaver for us while we work from home, they have managed to keep their classrooms clean and have strict guidelines for all the staff, kids and parents. Best thing about this school is how transparent they are with the parents, how good they are with all educational activities, and how seriously they are taking everything that comes to development and education. Our 5 y.o. daughter is attending Rainbow Learning Academy and I couldn't be happier. She is looking forward to her daycare days and is always excited to wake up in the morning to go to her daycare. She respects and loves her teachers. She returns home content and happy afterwards every time. The staff is great; always understanding, patient, careing yet a bit strict, which we admire. Very multicultural and friendly environment. Another great thing to mention is their food. So if your child doesn't eat veggies it'll change rather quickly. Every kid likes veggies when start attending Rainbow, and of course the "magic soup" :) Neat and clean. Best daycare in the area hands down. Very healthy and bright place for kids. Throughout my 2 years of experience, I have always been happy with Rainbow Learning and have virtually no complaints. In my experience, they have well-qualified, competent, conscientious, and kind staff; low staff turnover; good safety and health procedures; excellent communication with parents; pleasant facilities; and a fun, age-appropriate, and educational curriculum. The food at RLA is very good... healthful, varied, and tasty. The outdoor play space is merely satisfactory (IMO). In all other respects, Rainbow exceeds my expectations. I believe I'm a better parent, thanks to Rainbow, in that I've adopted some of heir ways for my own parenting toolbox. read more

Fabulous. If you want stability, safety, structure, continuity of care, nutrition, play and some fun learning for your child, consider WorldKids School Bel-Red. Plenty of English is spoken, so don't be turned off by Spanish and Mandarin immersion. Great team of teachers and management, has supported my family throughout challenges. Even our pediatric neurologist cited WorldKids as a plus, because kids get bonus brain development benefits of listening to another language. We have known and loved this school since before new management took over, I expect enrollment to increase to capacity after the best kept secret in Bellevue is exposed. read more

We are so grateful to World for Kids - it has been an amazing experience for our family. We started at daycare when our son was about 3 years old and we've been so happy with the care that he gets. All teachers are so incredibly caring for the children, you can truly feel how much they care about them, think about their well-being, and treats them as their own. Center serves delicious food, provides a fun and engaging environment and our son comes home happy every day. We call it "baby paradise" at World for Kids because it truly is.
