I have mixed feelings about this place. I was so excited to try this place because of the healthy organic food and also the barn bowls. I drove about 25 minutes to get there. I walked in and didn't really get a nice greeting, just a miserable "hi." No "Hi, how are you today?" I had to start the conversation. I have never been there before and they didn't ask me if needed any help with anything, just kind of stood there, I clearly looked lost. So I got the the PB&J Barn Bowl which was $10.95 for a small bowl that I will picture. I thought it was going to be bigger for the price but that is overly expensive. I had it and it was delicious, yummy and healthy, perfect! Only reason why I gave it three stars was because of that! Atmosphere was nice but I felt like it was really cluttered with all the product and decor, maybe they can have a couple out and sell from the back? They sell vitamins, organic protein, bone broth plus MUCH more. Probably won't go back just because of my experience with the staff, but delicious "barn bowl." read more

They are amazing! It's experiences like this that make me rethink the value of a star. I walked in and received amazing service, offering to help walk me through the menu and explain some of there products without me even asking. I ended up getting the avo salad it was amazing and a juice which was also just perfect. As I was leaving I noticed one of the staff running out an order to a women's car who happened to be handicap. My first and only time here for sure. I've worked in 2 juice bars in my life and in both? We did the juicing in front of the customers. Never have I been to one where everything is pre-made, I would have even thought the place was legit if someone was making my $9.50 FRESH? juice in back. The menu was confusing as far as where the prices were- so after buying a medium juice that tasted meh at best, and a turmeric shot- it cost me $15... absolutely ridiculously over priced. While visiting from the DC area I decided to stop by the Juice Barn. I ordered the Green Goddess Salad. I loved it. Light and tasty. I also ordered an Eliminate Inflammation cold pressed juice. Just the right amount of sweetness. I would highly recommended checking out this place. What really impressed me about this place is that they allowed me to sample the juice menu. The Juice Barn is a great place to eat healthy and organic! The staff are always very friendly. They have pressed ginger shots and wheatgrass shots along with delicious wraps and smoothies. I highly recommend them. The only reason for 4 stars and not 5 is they are rather pricey. Unfortunately eating healthy can be expensive. read more

Great location, great commercial products (vitamins, supplements, protein powders, etc.), but from the other reviews it seems like juices/smoothies and service are lacking. Staff working when I went certainly were friendly but very hurriedly running around behind the counter. My burrito bowl, though all the right ingredients (kale, black bean, quinoa, carrots, corn chips - the menu said broccoli but none were found) but the overall combination was lacking in the way of seasoning. Large chunks of kale and chips made it tough eat full bites. Great great great potential in this place. Once the working staff are educated more on the products of the place, really living the restaurant's mission firsthand, and once the food options are perfected, i see lots of success. The fact that he lady behind the counter didn't think they were on Yelp is concerning too. This is a fantastic outlet to your customers, where people can speak their heart and not hold back when face to face with an employee. Hoping for a bright future, and fully focusing on the business side and not as much on the classes/appointments as much. The food brings people in, the classes make them stay. If you don't have good products how are you going to expect new customers to want to learn from you. read more

It is really hard to rate this place. I like the people that work there. Very friendly- and of course I love the concept - however - as several others have noted, the juice is not freshly pressed and that completely defeats the purpose of going to a juice bar and paying 14 bucks for a juice. I know organic produce is expensive and I'm willing to pay for that - but definitely not when the juice is coming from "out back" in a plastic jug. When the original owners had it, they made the juice in front of you. Now, I know this takes time but it's not like this place has a line out the door!! First time visiting the juice barn and I was so happy that the girls working were so friendly and knowledgeable on what they have to offer. I ordered a pina-kale-ada and it was the perfect texture and flavor! The only reason I've gave 4 stars is because it was $9.38 for this one smoothie. So if you're looking for an average priced smoothie, look on. However they use all organic products which isn't offered at other juice bars in the area. I'm a frequent flyer at the Juice Barn and I would highly recommend this to anyone that loves fresh pressed juice and smoothies. The employees are always very informative and friendly. They have local baked good sometimes too that are dairy free, nut free ect. Sometimes the owner does the baking too which is still delicious! I most recently had the pumpkin pie and it was great! Smoothies are small, overpriced and the one I got at least did not taste good. The protein powder used was gritty as well. For over $13 I will not be back. They do have some other items for sale, like vitamins and probiotics and what not. This place has the potential to be fantastic. It has a great location and the space inside is well designed and inviting. The staff came across as friendly and helpful during our visit. It looks like they also offer some classes focused on nutrition and healthy living, which is a nice extra. There are a few things, however, which could use some tweaking. Their price point is a bit high at this point. For about $9 we got a shake that was maybe 10 oz. the juice bar I usually frequent in Scituate sells their largest shakes for that price. Also, the juices here are not made fresh to order. They are pre-made, and kept for up to 5 days. This may not matter to some people, but others may prefer a freshly made drink for the price. They've only been open a week, so I will definitely give it another try in a month or so to see if any changes have been made. Right now, it doesn't quite hit the mark for me. read more

So informative that it had me signing up to do a juice cleansing! My very first one.. I only did a 1 day cleanse..thought it was going to be hard to do, but it wasn't that bad! This place has a great atmosphere. Not only are the decorations great, but the owner is just wonderful- so friendly and informative! And I love that they have lots of informational events. I do have a couple issues though. The first is that the staff is not nearly as friendly or engaging as the owner. The biggest one, however, is I ordered a juice for $9.50 expecting it to be around 16oz, but $9.50 for maybe 10oz?! You should at least advertise the size. I have been to the The Juice Barn many times and I drive about an hour to get there or I swing by when in the area, which unfortunately isn't often enough. I have always been greeted by very pleasant staff and they are always super helpful when I ask questions about which juice or smoothie I may need that day or the products on their shelves. Yesterday I was greeted by Allie, one of the owners, and she is very sweet and very knowledgeable. I took 2 classes offered by Allie and am looking forward to more! I also did an organic juice cleanse this year with my husband and we felt so refreshed when it was done! The prices are a bit higher here but you have to remember that this is all organic and organic produce is expensive and SO MUCH better for your body. They also need to make a profit to stay in business so to me my health is worth it and it's worth it to have a great place like this on the South Shore. I am looking forward to taking one of their nutrition based classes that they offer, more specifically gut health. I have been to other juice bars in the area and there is just no comparison. The price point is worth it because my health is worth it. I hope they last!! (by the way, I recommend the Acai bowl and the Metabolism Boost juice. So good) read more
