The pancakes looked so different, like none we'd seen before, thick and uniform, like they'd been made in a mold, but they were light and melt-in your-mouth yummy. Chilaquiles were not overly spicy, nice and crispy, like we like them, not soggy. Biscuits and gravy were flavorful and there again, the biscuits were surprisingly light. The restaurant, which used to be a Denny's, has been converted into this new establishment, but it definitely wasn't an upgrade--it was a downgrade. I don't eat at Denny's often, but from my experience, even their food seemed better than what I had here. Given the high prices, I just didn't feel it was worth it.
