I made an on line appt for a couch cleaning a week ago. Was told that their truck had broken down and they had tried to still handle all customer requests. I planned for this appoitnent and moved a very busy schedule around to make this happen. A second truck had gone down ! This was my first time using Hoffman. My wife commented that our fabric loveseat needed a good cleaning, so I started looking for cleaners online. I found this place with good reviews so I researched their website. Needing a minimum $100 amount of work for a job (their cleaning prices are per item and posted online), I added our leather couch which originally was a rich chocolate brown but had turned a faded red color. Thinking it needed to be cleaned and moisturized, I added that on for a total of $145. I picked a time online using their website and waited a week for them to show up. They sent me a confirmation email almost immediately, which was nice. But then they never showed up. I called them and talked to someone who said that they were having computer problems and my order was never processed. Forwarding to them their original confirmation email showed I had a job on order, but they rescheduled for another week or so out. I asked for another confirmation email which I never received. They then showed up early on the appointed day (which I didn't mind, but some might) and started on the leather couch. They told me that they tried to work on it but the discoloration was neither due to dirt nor drying out. Meaning, they couldn't do anything. They offered to refund my money paid for that, but that would have put my order under $100. So, I could pay for them to do cleaning work that wouldn't actually do anything, they could leave without touching the loveseat, or they could add on features to their loveseat job to make it $100 (or, I guess, just charge me $100 for that). We added "Teflon spray" to the loveseat and I guess it worked out. The loveseat does look better, and it was beat up to begin with, but I am pretty disappointed with the experience. I appreciate that they weren't late the second time, and didn't charge me for unnecessary work, but the RSVP mix up and then requiring me to add on stuff instead of just saying "we messed up the first time, so just pay for the loveseat cleaning and we will waive our $100 minimum job amount" is a bit annoying. I think I would call them again, but I am not in a rush to do so. read more

We had two recliners and a sofa cleaned. The tech was polite, neat and efficient. Had all three cleaned in about an hour and they came out great. Price was very reasonable. Will definitely use the service again. read more

He ruined my $6,000 rug!!! He said "You would have to be a fool if I pay that much for a wool rug". It wasn't wool it was a silk/wool blend! Had to throw it out it was ruined so bad. It wasn't even a year old. read more

Fantastic service from John at Hoffman Carpet cleaning! Our cats were trapped in the room and made a mess.. smelled awful... John worked a miracle and got the stain out! This is the second time I've had John clean my carpets . He does an outstanding job he's a great guy , very nice very professional . I highly recommend John for any of your carpet cleaning needs . It's reasonable it's well worth it , even if you think your carpets aren't all that bad they really are . But when John gets done they look brand new . Used Hoffman recently to clean some carpets in our new house, as well as a couple of couches, and was very pleased. When I initially reached out, I heard back from the owner, John very promptly who provided me with all of the pertinent information and answered my questions thoroughly. All of our communication was done via email which was great for me, since I was in contact while I was at work. We were able to set something up for maybe 2 business days after I initially contacted him. His crew of two guys showed up before their scheduled time, and left my carpets looking and smelling refreshed. They were able to complete stairs, a long hallway, and 4 bedrooms on the second floor in a couple of hours. They were also super friendly to deal with. The only reason for downgrading one star is because there was a little mix up regarding our furniture at first. I actually left the house while the carpets were being cleaned, and they apparently had run out of water and didn't do the furniture at that time because it wasn't written in their schedule. I reached out to John to see what had happened, and his staff called me apologetically to set up another time to come and finish the job. It was a little inconvenient not having the job completely done the first time around, but their prompt attention to setting up another appointment, and apologizing for the error made it right in my book. Also, had I not chosen to communicate via email, the instructions on my end may have been more clear. Overall, we were very satisfied and wouldn't hesitate to use them again in the future! read more

I'm tempted to lobby for a new category, something like 5*-asterisk: for the very, very few businesses that merit 5* not once but repeatedly. These folks came to clean our carpets in the basement post-flood: very nearly as good as new, well above expectations. One of the rugs had been the target of repeated cat urine attacks: they took it to their facility and cleaned it via full submersion several times until it came back usable - and at no extra charge. Today, we had our upstairs carpet cleaned - different service pro (Isiah) but same attitude and exceptional results. Including an additional rug, again at no charge. We would have been happy with much less :). So - this will sound somewhat hyperbolic but I have absolutely zero suggestions for improvement. Prompt, polite, and just fabulous value. Took away 6 various sized very, very used rugs including ryas and orientals and returned with 6 gorgeous clean rugs. I can't get over the difference. Colors are now vibrant. Very proud to have them in my new home. I especially appreciated the care the delivery men took both in picking them up and bringing them back. This firm knows its business. I been hired some carpet clean company to come my house to clean before. But I not so happy what the results is. So I try Hoffman this time.They cleaned living room,stairs and upstairs hallway. I have to say is Amazing and Super Clean.The guy called John. He pay attention to every Corner gaps. And the hard wood clean machine they use it's too wide to clean my floor. So he clean these hard floor by hand. The results are even better! I'm really happy by how he did and the results are. They own my business from now. read more

Oriental carpet cleaning - we had a large oriental area rug that needed cleaning. We called last week and that same day John and another person from Hoffman's came by to roll it up and take it away to be cleaned. He said 7-10 days and it was six days yesterday when they called and said it was ready to deliver . The carpet looks like new. Even nicer, the carpet feels like new - soft and smooth again. We've now sent them away with another area rug. Besides great work and reasonable prices, they are delightfully friendly. read more

I was charged $380 for rug cleaning and $100 for a replacement padding for my very expensive, very valuable Oriental rug that had pet stains. None of the stains were removed and they bleached out an area which they said was my fault for using cleaning solutions on it. I had used Revolve Pet Cleaner on the stains months earlier. Saying this caused the bleaching makes no sense because if the Resolve bleached the area, it would have already happened when I used it long before they took the rug. It wouldn't have suddenly bleached the rug if they properly rinsed the rug with water, removing everything from the rug before using any solutions on it, as they said they did. I wish they had warned me that the stains might not come out, because I wouldn't have wasted almost $500. Now the rug is damaged with a new bleached spot; all the stains remain, there is color bleeding, and the fringe is frayed. I am extremely frustrated and I want at least some of my money back. read more

DO NOT HIRE! I had them clean my rugs and they ruined my brand new wood floor even after I told them it was new and asked if I should put runners down. They say no and then spilled water all over it. It's laminate and the floor buckled after they left. I called them to report the damage and they sent rug cleaners back to assess damage-not professional flooring people or an insurance adjuster and then said the damage was "nothing" and they could get one of their relatives to repair!!!! When we declined that "offer" they asked my husband if he wanted a couple hundred bucks and then accused him of trying to scam them!! They refused to compensate for damages or professional repair. The contact information on their website is phony for owner and manager. We now have our lawyer handling. read more
