That's how we found Prezzo. My goal for my visit was pretty much just to eat pub food, but when you're starving, you just have to acquiesce to eating what you can find. We came in around 8pm, and I think only one other table was occupied. We chose a seat outside, and I got a glass of wine to eat with my pasta. But the food here? Delicious! I was pleasantly surprised by the quality and taste, and I probably needed those carbs after the amount of walking we'd been doing up until that point. PROS: -Open later than almost any other place we'd been to. Which makes it perfect for Americans who find that they're hungry after 6pm. -Delicious, fresh food. -Polite, courteous staff. CONS: -None! THE VERDICT: Delicious food, impeccable service. I thoroughly enjoyed my meal here, and would definitely recommend this place. I THINK I got the Penne Alla Rusticana, because it sounds about right... Seasoned chicken, pancetta, peppers and rosemary, in a creamy pomodoro sause. It was definitely a penne dish with red sauce and peppers, and while I would have preffered British food, this really hit the spot.

The food could best be described as continental. I enjoyed my tomato and mozzarella bruschetta. I also nabbed a couple of my aunt's french fries (aka chips) which were delicious (side note: whatever they do in England to cook their chips so perfectly needs to be exported, stat). Wine selections by the glass and bottle were also solid; we ordered a bottle of sauvignon blanc to share. The only discordant note was the cloud of thunderbugs swarming around during the meal--by the time we were wrapping it up, they were even in our hair and staking out the remains of our dishes. Matters might have improved had there been lit candles or some other deterrent in evidence, sadly this was not the case. We opted to move inside for coffee just to get away from the swarms. When we entered the restaurant, we saw that quite a few tables were open. This was puzzling, as it was made clear that no indoor seating was available for the time that we reserved, which was why we sat outside in the first place. Service also could have been a bit faster, but it was, after all, Sunday lunch.

Difficult to fault this place. Scenic location, attentive and attractive staff, superb menu…read more Breakfast and dinner both really delicious and wonderfully presented. Can't wait to go again!

A couple of times I've even got to watch red squirrels eat while I dined. The chowder is really good - huge mussels and I recommend the smoked garlic bulb to start it's a real mix of flavours. Chicken caesar salad also goes down well. My son ate his whole meal (garlic sausage and wedges with baked beans) with real enjoyment. The bloody mary with black garlic vodka is sweeter than my preference but they brought out the vampire slayer hot sauve which balanced thar out and gave a massive kick! Some horseradish would make it even better. Children will enjoy the play equipment and fancy chickens and it's also fun to try all the samples in the farm shop. I'm a big fan of the garlic mayo.

Stirring sticks are on the side to taste different dishes of garlic. Although it says "no double dipping" every person I saw put the same stick in every pot after tasting it!!!!!!! So, the saliva from every different person was transferred from pot to pot. Then a child sneezes over 3 or 4 pots with no hand or hanky over mouth. I have never come across anything so disgusting. Even after I pointed out to a man what he was doing he still carried on. This needs stopping or controlling by staff. If I coukd give this a zero score I would
