I am a little biased as I am from Chicago - and this famous West Virginia pizza is completely different from the awesome Chicago style pizzas I am used to. I just didn't like it, didn't like the taste, the texture... meh. As far as the mall location itself, the staff were very polite, fast, friendly. Got a piece of thick cheese pizza. It's just a lot of bread, a big square of it. Not doughy or anything, just not what I like. The cheese was good. But my boyfriend raved it is the "best pizza in the world" and I have to disagree. This is the best pizza. It is NY Style and so delicious. I have tried to find an equivalent in Cincinnati to no avail. I will always want their delicious slices. They have the perfect trifecta of hearty sauce, delicious crust, and great topping. Get a thin and a thick pepperoni and delight in them both. The thick crust is deep dish but an entirely different texture than the chain ones. So good! The thin is foldable and just perfection. For some reason the pizza seems to be slightly better at this location than the original one. One star off because it is in the mall and I hate malls but I come here for the slightly better pizza. read more

I am an out-of-towner who makes it a point to get a slice EVERY time I am in town. This is the only place where I can eat the pepperoni and when you put it on the Sicilian you get heaven on a plate! The crust is perfect and crispy on the bottom. If you are lucky enough to get a corner piece, cherish every bite of that crunchy crust. The sauce is on point and the cheese is actually good (unlike most pizza places). DO NOT compare this to Chicago style, because this is way better. Just remember to grab some extra sauce to dip the crust in...mmmmm!!! read more

When you leave, you crave it, when you move away for a spell, you crave it. It's the 1st thing you want when you return to the area and the last place you eat before leaving the area. The pepperoni is unique, the dough is handmade, the grease is not overwhelming and they can bake whatever toppings you want on it, however you want. They bake themed pizzas, bake for special occasions, just about whatever comes to mind. There are 4 locations in this area and no matter which one you go too, the pizza is consistently delicious every time. Was shopping yesterday and decided to stop and get some pizza. Had one slice of thick and a cherry pepsi. Pizza was cold and within a couple of hours I was sick. If they cant do any better than this then they need to shut it down. There is no excuse for this kind of service. Especially when Pizza Place is the best in town...sadly though..out of the 4 in the area...this is one of the worst. South Side is about the same. Long ago I lived in west Virginia & there were many pizza places such as Columbos & pizza place. Along with the typical franchises. The Pizza Place was by far the best & largest slices for individuals, I have ever had.
