We were in Parkersburg for a short weekend with our pups. We visit several times a year as it's close, we have a Hilton property that takes pets and we ride bikes in the woods on bike trails with the dogs running after us. Total fun. We wanted something diff than a chain option which candidly, is what Parkersburg has more available than one wants and can get at home. We found CJ's. The pics looked fantastic and we were excited for something new. It was ok. Not bad but just ok. It's close to the Hilton - huge plus. It's nestled in what looks to be a private community - almost like it's part of their own country club for that neighborhood. It's super clean and the people are nice. We love sitting at the bar when we dine out. Stuffed mushrooms were fantastic. Their pasta dishes were awesome. Their bartender that particular night, he was ok - not really chatty. He wasn't rude at all - professional - but not super chatty on a football Saturday. We were the only ones sitting at the bar. Would we return? Maybe. I think there are too many places to try before we get to a point of having to go back. The dining area was well lit and very open. Nice place. read more

They have great gluten free options. We started with some dry rub chicken wings. My wife and I split a full size salad with house dressing. Which we loved. The real clincher was the gluten free pasta. Most places only give you Penne if they have any options. Here they had regular pasta which was incredible. Cindy & James have opened perhaps the best Italian restaurant in the Mid-Ohio-Valley. Cooked to order, quality chef inspired food. Some of the best wait staff in the area. Ask for Chuck! He's hilarious. A bit pricey - $60 for two is normal if you get drinks and dessert. Loud, but fun atmosphere with a semi-open kitchen including a neat wood fired oven. One of the cleanest restaurants and kitchens you'll find - per a former 'The Proz' kitchen exhaust cleaners employee. Our family frequents CJs at least twice a month. Give them a try. My favorites are the chicken parm, mushroom chicken, and "The Salad" with smoked salmon. The pizzas are on point - and so are the dry rub wings. NET beer on tap! read more

We always enjoy our trips to Cjs! Whether it's pizza, salad, prepared foods or to go sides. That's the great thing about CJs is all the options. Their vinaigrette dressing is delightful. I tend to count on CJs as my go to for sides when I'm cooking meals. Their green beans are always so yummy, the fall salad was something different to try most recently and full of flavor. I loved the antipasto appetizer: garlic, olives, roasted red peppers, hummus and prosciutto I haven't been back to WV in a long time and found CJs to be a great addition. I love everything about Cj's. Our waitress suggested we try "The" Salad which was phenomenal. Best salad I've ever had, honestly. My mom and I shared it so we wouldn't be too full for our entrees. Cj's offers very good Italian food. I've tried several items from the menu and have been pleased with each choice. The food is much closer to authentic Italian than any chain location would offer. Excellent meal. My wife is GF and the options here are a nice change of pace, especially for Italian. My wife had the eggplant manicotti and it "was perfect." Most gluten free pasta is gf penne so it was nice to have gf spaghetti noodles. We have 5 kids and they loved the spaghetti noodles and meatballs. I enjoyed the fettuccine Alfredo with chicken. My Sister In Law is a employee at this establishment and wanted to take us out to lunch before leaving on our trip back to Florida. Only go there with people you don't want to talk to. Or take your two-way radio earmuff devices. The conversation noise is deafening and grows even louder as more people shout to be heard. We had the same experience two years ago on our first trip there, but owners have done nothing to fix the accoustics. Very uncomfortable. We wont go back. My 10" pizza was tough, overcooked. We ate at CJ's last night and it was incredible! The three in our group each ordered the lasagna that the waiter recommended. We were certainly not disappointed. The lasagna was some of the best I've ever eaten! It was made with CJ's own sauce and we were informed that the pasta was made there too! Two of us had to take half of our dinner home because it was such a large portion. What a treat for our lunch today! Our waiter was so attentive but not bothersome. He had such a cheerful personality that we knew he was a seasoned waiter. As we were leaving many employees thanked us for coming which just added to our experience. CJs is great! Excellent food and pretty good service. Authentic and in a nice location. My only complaint (and I'm assuming because it's locally owned) is the hours here. Friendly staff and fast service. We had an over zealous waitress that was becoming more of a nuisance with each minute she stopped by. Cheese Fonduta was very good. Ravioli are a specialty & I had the seafood ravioli with spicy red sauce. Seafood was to include shrimp and lobster. The sauce was very spicy and flavorful. Ravioli had shrimp but I not certain about the lobster. Also eaten at our table were the blue crab ravioli which were enjoyed by those that ordered and mushroom ravioli with vodka cream sauce. My friend was surprised that the vodka sauce was spicy but she enjoyed it anyway. For dessert they had red velvet cupcakes and I had tiramisu. They enjoyed the cupcakes and I thought the tiramisu was okay. read more

this is a very good place to have some real good stone oven cooked pizza. it is cooked right in the middle of the whole restaurant. very nice theme and vibe in the venue. i got a regular pepperoni pizza and must i say. it is the best pizza i have ever had. it is a little pricey but it's worth your money read more

We arrived just before closing time but none of the staff seemed to mind. The lasagna was the best we had ever eaten. Our server, Chuck was incredibly helpful and provided top-notch service.
