Unknown if they are only opened during high cruising season. Looking through the gate and windows, it looks like they have plenty of space for customers to browse but only having a limited view, fabrics on display looked like fabrics I could buy near home. I didn't mind a higher price knowing it helped sustain the Alaskan economy. Mrs. E. found plenty of clever uses of metal, wood, glass and fabric. That is to say she managed to drop $150 in the shop. This is the only place in town that I could find themed guitar picks. Understand, I don't play them, I arrange and secure them (usually in a flower pattern) to hard cardboard and make small shadow boxes. Today, all the picks featured pictures and the words "Ketchikan, Alaska". A great conversation piece for my wall. The ladies that run the shop are truly wonderful souls and we loved helping them out. 08/23

We didn't buy anything but we're not required to. At the back of the store there serving food, we were surprised we didn't know there was food we asked and they told us it was free. We got some food ate it and my friend continued to look around while I went out to eat my food so I wasn't just standing in the way. Two more of my friend come out and join me while we wait for my other friends to finish looking. The OWNER (I'll include a picture of her lol tell me if that's the owner) came and told us (we're all black by the way) they weren't just giving free food and this was about art. I replied that we did look at the art pieces. I was really shocked because we spend a least 10-15 minutes looking at the art. We made sure the food was free before we took any and I went out side to eat to be respectful just in case I dropped anything on some art pieces. We were the only ones she said this to. It our first time in Ketchikan so to experience this in our first weeks here was so upsetting.
