We sat at the bar and Mike, our bartender was so much fun that we totally lost track of time! All the staff we met as they passed behind the bar were super nice and friendly. Food was very good and no one batted an eye when I asked for mayo for my fries. Seems that is a Canadian thing! We tried out several new beers (we had a designated driver) and went home with leftover chicken wings (in case we got stranded on the road in the storm?) Falls, schmalls...forget iconic natural wonders of the world! Next time we'll just head straight to Bugsy's for a good time! :)

We were informed they do not have grated Parmesan cheese, which is odd if you're going to serve an Italian meal and at least have some sort of prepackaged Parmesan cheese, but I digress The guy next to me over ordered the barbecued ribs and asked for no sauce. They came to the table and they were sauced. Which I thought was really weird because the guy guaranteed him they would have no sauce. They looked good and he ate them. But was a little put off by the sauced ribs. When asking the waiter when he came back about the sauce he said oh I thought you meant no extra sauce. Then he went on to explain that the ribs are pre-packaged with sauce already on them. Which makes me think that they are purchased from a food company already vacuum sealed in a bag with sauce. And just reheated. Not super excited by that. And again, our waiter kind of disappeared and only made it back to the table after I flagged him down to get a glass of water. I mean there were a lot of people here but they had enough service to cover everyone and still maintain a level of service that you would expect. Bottom line? The place is convenient to most of the hotels in the area, but I'm not sure I would go there again. I mean the food is okay but for the price you're paying I would expected to have a little bit of a higher end feel to it.

The look of the interior and the locals all hanging out on the front deck both give the dive bar feel. Add to this the great lunch we had, and it's a combination. I had lunch with a few friends. The menu isn't huge. Just enough choices plus daily specials. All sandwiches came with cole slaw and fries, though I didn't see that mentioned on the menu. I ordered the fish and chips. Also at my table was BBQ chicken, corned beef, and the Canadian bacon special. My fish had a crunchy exterior over nice flakey fish. The fries appeared to be fresh cut. I'd have to say the cole slaw was different, in a good way. The cabbage was very thinly shaved with a light dressing and topped with tomato & pepper slices. Overall, the food and service were both good. Also, keep in mind if going there from the US that these are Canadian prices. Very reasonable! Final note. Check the top of the building out front.
