If you are in the area- this is a must. If you are not, make plans to visit. Thanks to others on Yelp, I found The Packinghouse. We were hauling a 30' cargo trailer making my move to TN- so I called ahead and the young lady who answered was kind enough to explain where to park. 1) Make sure to get the salad bar. 2) See 1. 3) I wanted to try the lasagna but they were out- I settled for the ribeye sandwich- absolutely delicious! But everything I tried on the salad bar was freshly prepared. We arrived at 7 and they brought out fresh salad. The place is amazing. The service was fab.

Went there for lunch on a Friday and it was amazing! One of the coolest atmospheres being an old meat packing house. Salad bar was awesome with homemade pastas on it. The smoked Gouda cheese curds and deep fried Portabella mushrooms were perfect. I got the catfish filets that were ginormous! Over all a really awesome experience with great food, a yummy old fashioned and good staff. I will be back.

Probably the worst meal I have ever had - too bad I have to give it one star. On the way to the restaurant we passed an Applebees and I joked - at least we aren't eating at Applebees - in hindsight that would have been a better choice. The Manhattan was awful and the experience went down from there - the French onion soup must have had 10 tablespoons of salt - inedible The green been side and French fries were disgusting Here is a picture of my Medium Rare filet mignon- really really bad There has to be better choices in Galesburg- including the aforementioned Applebees

Good food, cute place, decent service. I would definitely recommend this for a quick bite to eat. The salad bar is nostalgic!!

Great place! Excellent buffet. Lots of space inside. They've kept the old meathook track, etc. Good place to teach kids about the past.

We ordered the surf and turf with an extra lobster tail, the 22 oz ribeye steak dinner, two sundaes, and the French onion soup. The French onion soup was a bit too salty for our taste, and the ribeye was slightly dry for our liking. Our son practically drank his surf and turf and lobster tail, so it's safe to say he loved his meal! The ice cream and strawberry purée were also delicious. The dining area was clean and nicely maintained. Overall, we'd definitely come back, now knowing which items suit our taste best.

A True Hidden Gem in Galesburg - Craft on Seminary…read more We had an outstanding experience this evening at Craft on Seminary in Galesburg. From start to finish, everything was top-shelf. We sat at the bar and were taken care of by Amanda and Adam, whose service was absolutely exceptional -- professional, attentive, and genuinely friendly. We've been to Craft a few times now. Our first visit under the new management didn't quite live up to our expectations, but this second visit was an entirely different story. The food, service, and overall experience were all exceptional -- you can really feel the team hitting their stride. We started with the Prime Fillet Carpaccio and the CHEZ Willis Calamari, and both were fantastic. Perfectly fresh, balanced, and not over-seasoned -- just clean, well-executed flavors that let the quality of the ingredients shine. The atmosphere strikes that ideal fine dining tone without feeling stuffy -- the kind of place where you can relax, enjoy a great meal, and appreciate true craftsmanship in both the kitchen and behind the bar. We truly hope more people discover Craft on Seminary -- it's the kind of place that deserves to thrive. If you're anywhere near Galesburg, make a point to stop in. You won't be disappointed.
