Very causal place. Mostly locals is always good sign. We had breakfast-french toast had nice crisp and eggs, bacon, sausage all good for $9.95. The Hamburger skillet consisted of mushroom, green peppers, onion, hash browns & eggs your way all good for $11.50. Hubby said coffee was good. Server was very friendly and food arrived quick. Would patronize again one my way thru Galesburg. Side note. Location in residential area along RR tracks.

I stopped here for breakfast and the place was super packed and loud for a week day morning, doesn't anyone work anymore. I got a dirty booth because seating was scarce which was cleaned for me. The meat lovers omelette sounded good vs the meat lovers plate but for $1 more the plate would have 3 times the meat vs the omelette so that's what I ordered. Ham, bacon and sausage in a patty or two links with two eggs and my server didn't even know what it was so she had to read the menu. The kitchen obviously didn't know what it was either because it had no bacon on my plate and extra sausage for $10.75. My over med eggs were cooked over easy with lots of runny yoke. The sausage patty and links were very mild and not zesty at all. The ham was good because it was real ham off the bone. Overall my breakfast was good even though it was not right and the $10.75 menu price turned into $8.97 some how that no one but me caught and since my plate was messed up I will just say it's a mistake discount.

French toast and a shaker of powdered sugar. Yum!

Great place for breakfast. They have a decent amount of food options and the service was incredible. We had a large group and we're all happy with our meals.

My husband and kids ate here last time he was in town visiting our daughter at Knox. Had a wonderful experience and a kind local bought their breakfast. Excellent service - fast and friendly. Food was hot and fresh. Not fancy but good and fresh. We came back as we love the people and atmosphere! We will be back.

The are known for their savory quiche and crepes as well as their delicious ice cream filled dessert crepes, ordering the Spinach Bisque is a MUST! While a cup may be fine for some, I always insist on a bowl of the creamy, buttery bisque. Recently for lunch, I chose their Wagyu Meatloaf Sandwich, paired with spicy ketchup, provolone and crispy onion strings on a grilled artisan white bun. The side of Mayo aoli is a great topping too! Sitting inside and watching the chefs prepare the crepes is a delight, but a beautiful afternoon calls for a relaxing meal on their ivy lined patio! It is so cute and gives such great small town peaceful vibes. Highly recommend; but you may need to call ahead for reservations.

The dining area is small, you likely cannot accommodate a larger group without a lengthy wait. We arrived around noon on a Sunday and waited about 15 minutes for a table. They provided a pager and indicated you could walk a 3-block radius, then recommended some shops nearby. When our pager went off we were promptly seated. Tables area is tight, there is not a lot of room to spread out. Our server came quickly and was friendly and accommodating. There are separate menus for breakfast and lunch/dinner. Options include crab cakes, Belgian waffles, paninis, pastas, and of course sweet or savory crepes. There are many options that are either gluten free or can be offered gluten free. The bread is homemade which always a bonus. We ordered a GF Turkey Melt, a Bacon & Cheddar Waffle, and Pesto Chicken Pasta. Everything came quickly and was delicious. We would all order what we had again, but with the expansive menu would be excited to try other options also. Many items on the menu can also be ordered in a smaller portion for a reduced price as well. I did this with my pasta, as I wanted to save room for a sweet crepe. For dessert, we ordered a Nutella Strawberry Crepe, a Black Forest (minus the cherry) Crepe, and the Hot Fudge Crepe (half portions). The Black Forest and hot fudge were filled with vanilla Hagan Dass ice cream. They were all so delicious and I recommend saving room to try one. They also offer their coffee beans to take home (and will grind them if desired) in half or full pound bags. The Praline Pecan is really lovely. Overall, if you are in the area, definitely give this place a try! It would be hard to be disappointed.

My friend Tim and I popped in here to grab a drink and explore some more of Galesburg, IL. The outside of the building is quaint, but once you step inside, it's cozy and bright. I offered to buy the drinks for us and we ordered the same thing. I have ordered the same thing many times at other places (Iced Caramel Latte) and am used to what the average price is. Come to my surprise when my total for two drinks was about $12-$14. Usually I get a small or a medium, but they must've rang me up for the largest size they had, hint the crazy high price. But man, was it delicious and made me want more. Overall, I would come back again. They have a nice staff, it's bright and happy on the inside, they have a cool mural in the middle of the store and the coffee is delicious.

In fifty-five years of flying, I have smelled enough jet fuel, 100 LL, and burnt coffee. Enough to see too many things change, but not on this day and this trip. Indeed, I'd dined at the Packinghouse back in 1986. They've been open since 1978, and I recognized it immediately. Then, as now, the place looks the same and the food was remarkable. My co-star and I sampled the inviting salad bar, and he opted for the broiled steak covered in mushrooms. I had the shrimp scampi, which was spectacular and enough for two normal people. Our only disappointment was that the highly touted bread pudding had been exhausted. Hence, we settled our stomachs on the chocolate lava conflagration that helped put things into perspective. The ambiance was an interesting mix of nostalgia and packing plant apparatus. Being a vegetarian, I wasn't offended by what happened there since 1912. The still-active railroad station is just across the street, which made sense for the building's original purpose. Our server was a local historian who enhanced our visit with her perspectives. Yes, the HOJO where I stayed in 1986 is long gone, but the Packinghouse is still doing what it does best. I must also mention that downtown Galesburg is an inviting anachronism reflecting the old America that I grew up with. There are interesting stores and other attractions. Galesburg is also home to Knox College, and was the venue for one of the Lincoln-Douglas debates back when debates were really debates and not Kabuki Dances.

My husband even spoke with the manager to tell them that it was just an awful meal. If you read the reviews over the last year, this is obviously a problem but they haven't fixed anything, so obviously they don't care. I would recommend finding another restaurant and not coming here.
