Not even an empty spot with a sale tag forlornly showing how they were sold out. Fortunately I was able to make due with an updated version of the same, same brand I was looking for, but just for a little more money. I picked it up and went on my way. The store seemed good sized with a garage and a parking lot out front where Tesla electric car stations lined one side. It'zaparty has been my go to place for balloons for the past few years. I usually get one or two…read moreclusters of balloons to put on either side of doorways for special events. The last few times I've gotten the balloons, they've lasted less than 10 hours. It was a little disappointing, but I thought this is probably standard. A week ago I needed two clusters of balloons again. So I went to my favorite balloon store. I happened to mention to the young ladies behind the counter about noticing how short of a time the balloons last. One of the young ladies asked, "you don't get the spray inside of the balloons?" I was intrigued so I asked, "what spray?" She explained that there is a pump spray that they put in the balloons before inflating them that will help the balloons to last 24 hours instead of 8 to 10 hours as I had experienced. it was a few cents more per balloon. But I thought, "what the heck? Why not?" I purchased my balloon clusters on a Friday at four in the afternoon. It is now the following Thursday at four in the afternoon. A full seven days. The balloons are still inflated, still bright and colorful, and still impressive. A little bit of the shine has gone. But that's not a big deal. I'm so happy they told me about the spray. It has made a huge difference. From now on, I will always get the spray to make sure the balloons last this long and possibly longer! Do yourself a favor when buying balloons at It'zaparty and spend the extra few cents for the spray. Thank you It'zaparty!

This is a locally owned shop in charming downtown Hingham. It is well worth a visit…read more In the spirit of "shopping local" this holiday season in particular, a friend and I stopped in recently. They sell an array of very reasonably priced goods: clothes, outerwear, purses, totes, jewelry, knick-knacks. I think it would be pretty easy to find something pretty and fun for people on the average holiday shopping list. There are plenty of gift ideas for stocking stuffers too as well as items that might be nice as hostess gifts. I bought two "evil eye" necklaces here...one for me and one as a gift. The woman running the store was a sweetheart, chatting with us and offering help. They do gift wrapping here which is a plus. I plan to return next week to see if they have any additional items that might help me tick off a couple of more things on my holiday shopping list. It is definitely worth a visit. And if you haven't visited downtown Hingham, I think it's always a treat to do so.

I admit, once I find my books I always (always!) take a right turn before checkout to do a solid walk-thru of the papers, calendars, binders, candy- everything yu need to have cool, pretty things on your desk or bookcase. And theyy get me every time. I ike that you can put a book aside to pick up and pay in store. Some times I'm not 100% sure that I'm buying the book I want, so it's handy to not have to pre-pay for a pickup. The selections on the tables up front are usually fairly interesting - mysteries, current releases, popular titles. There's always something there that I haven't read, or a great gift idea. Yep, people still like to give and get real paper books! While I keep a dozen or so ready-loaded on my Kindle, my first love are books that stay with you and I'm always gifting one to someone who I know still reads, or is learning to read, or doesn't know that they need to READ A DAMN BOOK! Because I'm only there to help! Go. Listen to a story time. Attend an author event. Or get a Starbucks at the counter and grab a table. There are many worse ways to spend some time quieting your mind.
