Creepy salespeople followed us around the store. Made us VERY uncomfortable. We bought a couple items and will NEVER go back

I actually worked there very recently on Amherst St.I worked hard did great with customers.I was forced to quit I was sick I texted late to let them know.And I also made a complaint about the assistant manager and another manager.And was reported to HR and put in the break room with the assistant manager and store manager not allowing me to speak at all.I was told also by someone not to use them as a reference.I busted my but I was always working hard and good with customers.I was treated badly in front of customers to where they would say something in my defense.I know who is always rude to customers and employees.And if customers read this I was the one with a smile and made everyone happy by saying Merry Christmas! read more

I was promised a return by a store worker (most likely to get a sale) that the store later would not allow. Shame on me for not getting it in writing... While I explained my situation to the manager (Christine) the other employees were rolling their eyes at the manager's decision and lack of flexibility. This is a great store with quality products. I've purchased clothing, toys, cards, gifts and other items from the store and have always found them to be of great quality and style. This company also has great sales like a $15 beach tot which was a great size and style for the money. read more

Let me first start out by saying I'm 41 years old; and in all of my life, never *never* have I complained nor went out of my way to warn others about a store, restaurant etc.. but what the Paper Store did to me and my kids was/is UNFATHOMABLE! So I truly feel it's my civic duty to warn all of the innocent potential shoppers before eveb so much as *thinking* of doing ahh "business" with this "establishment" ..let alone set foot in that place; let alone TRUST these people with your time, money, reputation and *security* What I mwan by is "Security" is... they left me without a CENT to my name for THREE DAYS!!! I have SIX children! Long story short; I'm going to make a chronilogical list so you can see the exact chain of events that occured here. The absolute absurdity; the blatant inefficiency. Okay. #1. Deposited $160.00 ito my checking account #2. Walked over to the Paper Store and oicked out an outfit for the nice weather; preparing for my daughters' *extremely important doctor appointment with a JRA (Juvenile Rheumetoid Arthritas) Specialist. #3. To my absolute HORROR I was told my card was declined $91.00 dollars! Now there was NO possible way that was the case; my credit Union is top notch; funds available immediately. #4. I walked BACK to my bank (mind you it was stiffling hot and I was in a major rush to get home, pick my daughter up and make her appointment on time. The bank was also horified and said it was impossible as I JUST deposited more than enough money. So the bank printed me out an invoice to SHOW the store that my card was NOT declined; in fact, the stire in essence *withdrew* $91.00 dollars out of the $160.00 I out in! They were *RUDE* also (rolling eyes; smirking at each other whispering under breath.. while I was *running between the store and the bank in 88 degree weather with my little girls' JRA appointment fast approaching... I had next to no money to bring her to said appointment which is why I worked so hard to get my momey back. Oh bear with me... it gets MUCH worse. This happened last Monday. Thank God I made it in time to meet my husband and get our daughter to the Specialist. We BARELY made it on time, though. And not only didnt I have an outfit to wear... due to the grade school antics of the Paper Store, i didn't even have time to SHOWER and look presentable!!!! Monday night I got a call.. the woman on the other end said she was the MANAGER of the store; she soincerely apologized... BUT! In hindsight, I remembered that she got RIGHT to the point and asked me Verbatim: "We held your clothes for you. Again, I am SO very sorry! The money will be back in your Account after Midnight tonight. Will you be in tomorrow to pick up your merchandise"? (now keep this in mind going forward in this hellacious exoeriance; story as the *discrepencies* that followed after I said "Absolutely not! I will never be doing businness with yiur establishment again. I do appreciate the apology; I understand mistakes happen, but no, Put my money back on my card." Next day... nothing. No money returned. I called the store again; the SAME GIRL answered! She wasnt the Manager! She was young; I could clearly see she was *withholding (ommitting) pertinent information so SHE wouldnt get fired! She NEVER got a Mananger!!! Not once. She was *lying* to me the entire time; actually changing her voice pretending to be her Manager!!! Wednesday... again, NOTHING! Not a CENT to my name. So I went back to the Plaza. I visited the bank first. But called the cashier/manager/"I'm a NEW manager here! I sont *know what to do for you!" Umm.. she called me Monday night and knew "what to do with me" ..I told her that and she said "No, that wasn't me, that was my manager. I said "I have an 18 year old daughter; you need to stop this ridiculous game and RECTIFY this situation! This is costing me time and money that I do NOT have!!!" I then proceeded to inform her that my only other option at that point was to call the authorities. So take a wild guess? Yup, the bank teller was printing out my invoice again (Cybal told me her *Manager* would be in at 3:00 so I intended on waiting in the Plaza until said time as I had five children at home and literally not a CENT to my name to even RETURN home! She put me on hold. I'm assuming her shift ended at 3:00 pm; hence the phantom "Manager" arriving at that (convenient) time. So I was waiting for my Invoice and guess who walked in? *She called the police on ME!!!* She said she was "scared' !!! I do apologise for the length here but #1. this story needs to be told (and re-told; shout it from thr Mountain tops if I can prevent this from happening to another innocent person. "Scared"??? Yeah.. of the *real* Manager!!! Not her three alter-egos. I bought a spray bottle of Inis Cologne there on Mother's Day this year. Smelled great but it evaporates. Had 2 emails with some big guy at your company who said they've never had a complaint like that and there's no way it could evaporate. Contacted him again "still evaporating" I can't believe you don't stand behind your products. He told me he offered me another bottle months ago and I didn't want it which was a blatant lie. There are lovely things to buy for yourself and everyone but as much as Ive gone there in the past Im done. I'm giving one star because they won't let me do none. read more
